He's really honest about pricing and gave us a lot of options being mindful of our budget. Many of my friends had used him and I see why he has such a strong reputation. What really stood out was how involved he was, he was onsite frequently and really cared about what we wanted. Even after the main work was done, he went above and beyond to make sure we could use our original pool fence and made sure the fence was even more secure than before. We highly recommend this company!!

We contacted Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass partly due to the strong reviews. We aimed to remove patio pavers and install Travertine Stone to align with the pool deck, bar, and other backyard features. We also wanted to add Synthetic Grass and leftover pavers to our front yard. We met with Daniel and were left impressed by his presentation; he was kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. With two clear projects and a firm sense of what we wanted, Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass felt like the right fit. Daniel prepared a rendering for the community HOA and gained our approval to continue. Aside from minor delays from rain and language issues--resolved quickly--the crew arrived and worked nearly without pause to finish in one day. Calling the crew's work outstanding would be an understatement. They showed respect for us and our property while shifting from front-yard to backyard construction. Text and phone updates from Daniel and Mario kept us informed throughout. Given the quality and scope, the fees seemed entirely fair. They returned the following day as promised and thoroughly cleared the remaining materials from the front of the house. They even provided a Veterans discount, which we greatly appreciated. I strongly recommend Diamond Stone & Synthetic Grass for nearly any landscaping project and expect to rely on them again. Five stars all the way!!!

Heather and her crew at Earth Smart Design are the absolute BEST! Super responsive, incredibly…read morereasonable prices, VERY fast crew, listens to what you want, and really, really, really knows her stuff! She and her crew completed our front yard, and inner-courtyard conversion from traditional water-guzzling grass and ugly shrubs to water-wise and beautiful desert landscape, including new hardscape concrete walkways, less than a week after breaking ground. She has a degree in landscape design, and her crew does it all--plants, irrigation, design, hardscape... Her knowledge and experience, as well her patience and understanding came in very handy while working through all of the HOA requirements and approvals, too! We also had her convert our very big and (formerly) really ugly dirt backyard into a beautiful combination of a small patch of real grass, a new patio, pavers, all new irrigation, a small fountain (we provided) that gets automatically filled with the irrigation dribblers, a tricky walkway over some raised tree roots, lighting, and a variety of desert plants that will fill-in beautifully with the existing bougainvillea, oleander, and palm trees we retained around the edges for privacy. Her estimate was roughly half of what one of the big outfits was quoting, and her timeline was much faster, too. Both were accurate; they were done with the backyard project (after a number of rounds of design first) in less than two weeks, and the only increases to the price were due to my design changes and plant additions after the fact. She also comes back multiple times to adjust sprinklers/dribblers, any plants that died of stress, and to make sure everything is filling in properly or make adjustments. The ONLY thing I wish I/we had done differently was to have budgeted-in having the crew lay down pre-emergent grass & weed inhibitor on all the soil around the new plantings, but underneath the gravel, prior to putting the gravel on top, to prevent the old turf from popping back up as weeds. It still would've needed re-application every six months or so, but it would've given a head start to preventing more of the pesky crab-grass that really wants to grow back in after it was removed!

In addition we had a new sprinkler system installed and added trees and plants. JNK/ Naji specifically was phenomenal in communication - extremely rare in this line of work. Naji was always very responsive and with a positive attitude. His staff showed up on time, respectful and took pride in their work. We are VERY happy with the results. We now have the outdoor living room and space we wanted. They were not the cheapest but we were willing to pay a little extra to ensure the schedule was adhered to and the quality and warranty. Not chasing someone down for the next step is the project and having this substantially completed in under 2 weeks is amazing. Definitely recommend JNK.

I am sure there are other great landscaping businesses out there, but the reviews were key for me - I had nothing else to go by, since we haven't used any landscaping services. Reviews were accurate. Service-communication: very good. My main contact was James. Took a lot of time with us. We were going from scratch, so it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted. Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Toward the end, had to wait for the pergola parts to arrive. About three weeks to complete entire job.

We hired Tranquil Oasis Landscapes for a complete backyard renovation and replacement of our…read moreirrigation system, and we're extremely happy with how everything turned out. What stood out the most throughout the project was Nick's attention to detail and the continued pride he takes in his work after more than 20 years of experience. At one point, the pavers that were delivered didn't meet his standards, so he had the entire shipment returned rather than installing subpar materials. That told me a lot about the kind of company he runs. The quality of the finished product speaks for itself. The pavers have clean, straight lines, our garden area was laid out perfectly, and the artificial turf looks great (our dogs have already put it to the test and it has held up wonderfully). Nick was easy to work with from beginning to end. He listened to what we wanted, was honest throughout the process, and also suggested improvements we hadn't thought about, including solving our drainage issues and running low-voltage wiring around the backyard so we'll be able to add landscape lighting later without tearing anything up. His crew was professional and skilled as well. Our project wasn't the biggest one they'll ever do, but after this experience I'd have no hesitation hiring Tranquil Oasis Landscapes again or recommending them to friends and family. One neighbor already plans to use them after touring our backyard, speaks for itself!

I was so pleased with the work that I contracted them to do my front yard and side yards as well. For the front yard, Nick the owner, provided a scale drawing of the new layout following our conversations about what I was looking for. After HOA approval, they transformed my mainly gravel front yard into a beautiful park-like environment with turf, new plants, new lights, new irrigation, new pavers. It's beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. Finally, I asked them to update my side yard. It was originally an ugly, unused gravel area with weeds. After collaborating with Nick, he came up with a beautiful design that once again transformed a small space. They added grass (for the dogs), irrigation, pavers, river rock, a new hose bib, lighting, bottle brush trees that will eventually provide nice shade for this east facing area (but won't overwhelm the space), and they assembled several vego planters (for which I haven't quite decided what I want planted there) Nick, along with his foreman Guillermo and the rest of the team, are professional, responsible, responsive, creative, collaborative, easy to work with, and create beautiful spaces. I kept adding to the projects and they took every request in stride. I couldn't be more happy with the transformation they completed at my home and recommend them without hesitation. They have even more capabilities including building outdoor kitchens, fireplaces/firepits, ponds, etc. When the time comes for the next addition to my yard, I will be reaching out to them!!!

I recently visited the Xeriscape Garden in Scottsdale which is located on the Northeast side of…read moreChaparral Park to get some xeriscaping ideas for our home landscaping project. It's nice that there's a park to check out but I must be honest I thought it would be much larger. The website doesn't have a lot of information. I was trying to contact the master gardener through the information on the website but they aren't specifically dedicated to the garden so they could only give me generic information. I wanted to see some plants that I was told are at the park and was hoping to find a map for the park that might identify what is planted where in the park. I hoped to see plant labels or signs to identify some of the plants but in several instances there were only a few signs or sometimes there was either a plant or the sign but not both... There were some signs and columns that identified xeriscape zoning ideas that also showed examples for harvesting rainwater or creating a microclimate. A water feature near the dog park, restroom and Hayden road was pretty but it seemed out of place for a water conservation concept. Fortunately, access to the garden is free which was nice. It is still quite warm out so it seemed like I wad the only person in the xeriscape garden. I was confused on where I needed to park so I went all the way around and still got turned around a second time. Maybe I missed something on the website for the parking location actually being on the nor to end of Chaparral park? My gps didn't show the northern end of the parking so that also made it more confusing. I was a little disappointed that I didn't see anyone in the garden. I hoped that there would at least be park staff but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Since the dog park was attached to the garden I cut through one of the open fields (several appeared to be closed for maintenance) to get back to the parking lot. There was lots of parking and the bathrooms were fairly clean but very basic. The other reviewer indicated that it may have been nice when it was first established and I agree with their assessment. It could be a very nice garden if it was being maintained regularly. I don't live in the area so it would've been nice to see more on the website to learn more about the garden before I arrived so I would be better informed before hand. I'll probably return again in the winter or spring when it's a little cooler with hopes it might be getting a mini facelift very soon. If anyone is considering a visit to the Xeriscape Garden, know in advance that accessing the parking and park are most easily accessed from the North end of Chaparral Park from Hayden Road (northbound). I hope that your visit is blessed with great weather and a well maintained garden for an educational and beautifully positive experience.

Working with Meise Design Group was the best experience!…read more We went under contract in April 2024 to build a home here in Arizona while we were living in Virginia. As we got closer to the completion date (January 2025), we began our search for landscaping professionals. MDG was recommended to us from an architect we've been following on Instagram for several years. Between that recommendation, MDG's own Instagram portfolio, and their online reviews, we thought this might be a fit. We initially worked with Andrew, who was super accommodating - first working with us over email and Zoom, then meeting us at the homesite in person when we flew out here for progress checks. He was great working with two people who have never had any outdoor space (former apartment/condo/townhouse people) and were mostly clueless about what we wanted other than some Pinterest inspo photos. And he was also just so perfect for us specifically - he is a former east coaster himself and a dog-person - so he knew to explain things we wouldn't know (e.g. window reflections can melt turf in this Arizona heat) and how to prioritize our dogs' needs (e.g. our pool has a ledge so if a pup falls in, they're not far from safety). There was never any pressure - to go a certain direction, to exceed our budget, or to hurry up with decisions. Andrew was always prepared to talk in detail about options, tradeoffs, and pros/cons - and to let us see how those different things would look using his design software. We eventually landed on a design that we loved, that met our HOA requirements, and that met state and local requirements - all of which MDG took care of (e.g. HOA application info, county permits, etc.). Eddie and the teams on our property to complete the work were great. Everyone was kind, everything was kept as tidy as possible throughout the work; someone even came over on their day off because of a big rain storm - just to make sure everything was put away. Our project wrapped on time, on budget, and on expectations. We had a super informative final walkthrough - letting us know how to work everything, when to maintenance things, etc. And then we've heard from the team a few times since - just checking in on us. Our backyard is our sacred space - we LOVE it. All our guests love it. We've caught neighbors taking photos as inspo for their own yards. It's very simple because it prioritizes our view and our pups, but we've seen much more elaborate work MDG has done - so whatever your project, we would highly recommend MDG!
