Found this place while going for a movie in AMC. Awesome place to have breakfast and go for a movie at 11:00 am and then pack up some more food while going back after the movie, for lunch. I love this place! The idly, sambar, and the 5 different dosas I've tried so far have been hella good. The spice level and overall flavor are just perfect. We searched out this spot in Yelp cause we wanted some dosa after our hike in Coyote Hills. This place was hard to find (it's kinda tucked away in the back of the mall). The food is amazing though. It's filled with other Desis so you know the food is legit. We had different dosas and loved it. It was crowded-- we waited 30 minutes for our food. But it was sweet perfection. After we almost finished meal yesterday , saw this guy serving food wipe his nose on his palm and then continue to handle plates for serving food. Then I noticed none of them use gloves either. Just a really solid dosa place. They have many regional specialties that I'm not familiar with, and I consider myself a connoisseur of Indian food, both North and South. I've been here twice and everything was great. Some options are a bit spicier than dosas I'm used to. Tastes delicious, though I overdid it for my stomach once. This place gets BUSY, and understandably so. Their dosa's are so fresh, the samar is fresh but not hella spicy, and their vada and idly are worth the wait. They'll hand you a buzzer while you wait for them to prep your meal as ordered. If you order chai, they'll serve it to you at the end of the meal, their chai is batched and unsweetened so you're free to sweeten it w/ splenda or sugar or anything else that suits your preference. I love their Mumbai Jini Dosa, Vijaywada Paneer Dosa, Pav Bhaji Dosa, and Ghee Roast. No matter what you try though, I am sure you will love it :D Their Sambhar and various chutneys are pretty good too. The place is quite popular and may get crowded / congested at peak hours. Not so crowded as per other Bay Area South Indian places so that's good. The place is spacious. My partner and I tried the masala dosa and paneer tikka dosa. I would say that masala dosa is smaller as per what we get at other places in this price, also it's not enough to one person with empty stomach. Paneer tikka dosa is one of a kind, I never had this before. There was tikka sauce and shredded paneer inside. I like how they cut it in pieces already, making it easy for customer. The paneer tikka is good for one person. I should say their Sambhar is really good, served hot. They also provide extra chutney when asked, I found all the chutney's very tasty. You order at the register and then seating is first come first serve. Their dosas are definitely popular because the wait time was about 30 minutes for 2 dosas. Worth the wait? 100% The hyderabadi dosa was super flavorful, and wasnt overloaded with spice to make your forehead sweat. It was crunchy, fresh, and enjoyable. The classic masala dosa was filled with a good amount of potatoes, unlike some places that just give you three tablespoons. Dipping sauces and saambar came with everything and were delicious. We stopped by tonight after I read another Yelp review mentioning the pav bhaji dosa. we also got some medu vada and idly. first off, every thing is super fresh and great quality. The sambar and tomato chutney is exactly how you get them in Chennai (including the spice level! my husband found this spicy but we still finished all of it). the idly is super fluffy. the pav bhaji dosa was the highlight, there is so much filling and it's super tasty (and spicy! but that's good!) The only thing I would pass on is the tea, we ordered 2 and it was just ok, very milky for me. they have some really interesting items on the menu and they're super new. This place used to be very good when they first started the business. Owner used to stop by and talk to us. Now that they are getting more popular the service is really bad. They used to be very customer friendly and welcoming. Now they don't even bother to listen to your requests. For a simple Idly, they will ask you wait for 30 mins.
