My only reason for docking a star was that every single one (3 separate days) was extremely salty. I was debating every time to cook rice at home to stuff inside just to make it more edible. Dosa is definitely one of my favorite Indian dishes, and my favorites were the chicken dosa, goat dosa, vada and samosa. I loved the food so much and even went back within 2 weeks. 1/5 stars for the half hour wait when there wasn't a line. But, the food is good, so 5/5 stars for food. I came and ordered takeout at 5:44pm and received my food at 6:15p. I like their Tikka Paneer Dosa, so I bought that one and a Palak Dosa. I waited 30 minutes tonight while 2 customers who ordered after me received theirs. It didn't make sense. It looked like they didn't start my order. I went up and asked if my order was ready. Then the gentleman said they will be starting my order. It was late. I needed to be somewhere, so I was sad. I think takeout section needs to also receive a beeper so they can remember their customers who buy takeout. It takes about 5-7 minutes for it to be made. We tried the idly 65, ghee roast and paneer dosa. Taste was great! There was a small delay in service but they truly tried to serve ASAP. A great new place for dosa around the area! This spot opened a few days ago and we decided to give it a try. Ordered Mumbai Pav Bhaji Dosa, Paneer Tikka Dosa, Ghee Sada Dosa and the Tawa Idli. The food was great. The Sada Dosa was crisp and made well. The other dosas was great too; but the Pav Bhaji one was extremely spicy. There was NO way we could finish the entire dosa given the spice. And the tava idli was something I tried for the first time, pretty good I must say! The three chutneys they give with the dosas are amazing, especially the tomato chutney. The sambar amount per plate is TINY and they sent just two with three dosas in the order. The food delivery was quick and packaged well. It has exceeded my expectations. I went here with a group one day and had the Karaikudi Goat Keema Dosa which has minced goat, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander. It was served with Sambar and 3 Chutneys. Supremely filling, and delectable too. The coriander could be more abundant, though as in its current quantity, it is greatly overpowered by the goat and other ingredients. The only downside to this place is the odd ordering system. First, you need to get on the waitlist, and only once you get off the waitlist can you make the order. Then follows another 20 minutes of waiting. It'd be better if they could take the order while we're on the waitlist, similar to how Madras Cafe in Sunnyvale does it! read more

My third visit to ID company and the 5 star experience I had come to expect from this place just fell to a 3 star after my last visit this weekend. Well, maybe it was more like a 3.5 star experience. ID company or Idli Dosa Company was a very welcome addition to the Fremont Indian food scene when it opened with its non-veg offerings and street food twists to regular South Indian idlis and dosas - think spicy Idli 65 instead of regular bland idlis (steamed rice cakes) and chicken dosas (Indian crepes). I tried their mutton keema dosa on my first visit and I was hooked - perfectly spiced minced goat meat cooked with onion and tomatoes inside a crispy dosa. I fondly remembered the meal for many months - it was that good. When I visited again last fall, I couldn't help reordering the mutton keema dosa, and it was as good as I remembered it to be. However, I was quite disappointed this week. They really skimped on the meat filling inside the dosa. To be honest, it still tasted good, but nothing compared to what it used to with such little filling. When you're paying the same amount as you'd pay for a full plate of mutton biriyani at other restaurants, you'd expect a little more mutton keema filling. Btw, they do have a lot on their menu besides mutton keema dosa - I've tasted other dosa options from others and found them all to be tasty; not a fan of the Idly 65 though. Decided to try this place on a weekday evening and got there right before closing time. I was surprised by how crowded it was. It was a little difficult to find the place because the mall was shut by the time we got there and there was some road construction going on. The pav bhaji dosa was delicious. We also tried the vijaywada chicken dosa, which was good but not great. If you are looking for street style dosas, this place is worth a try. We tried Idlis, three types of dosa and kulfi along with a few drinks. My child didn't even want to finish his ghee dosa. What can I say - when you try to establish in an already well-catered environment, where good South Indian food is in abundance, then you shouldn't skimp on things that make the food or the experience good! I've tried the ghee roast dosa, the plain dosa and definitely intend to try the mutton dosa everyone raves about. Their prices are reasonable, the vadas are fresh. I'm not fond of the fluorescent lights and sometimes the music is loud but the food and service is always great. Love this place!!! After visiting once on a whim, I couldn't stop thinking about the incredible crispy and savory treats! I'm by no means a connoisseur of Indian cuisine but this place does not disappoint. Be sure to get there and know that tables are difficult to come by - be prepared to hover and find a place as soon as it comes available. Don't go alone. Lol. Found this place while going for a movie in AMC. Awesome place to have breakfast and go for a movie at 11:00 am and then pack up some more food while going back after the movie, for lunch. One of my friends recommended this place to us and we stopped here in a random trip. I am fan of South Indian food so I wanted to try something new but was so hungry to not take a risk. I asked the cashier for recommendation and the guy recommended me the Bandi Dosa, after multiple time confirming what is Bandi the guy did not stop saying try it out.
