Ryan went over in detail what he found that needed repaired, our AC is 33 years old, so we expected there was going to be issues. There was NO upselling or pressure sales tactics with Ryan's discussion. Thank you Ryan, Chelsea and Mountain Peak Air for the quality service! I would recommend them to friends & family.

John's expertise shinned out, once I sent him the pics of the unit's serial numbers, he was able to arrive on site on time and fitted high quality cluster capacitors with a 5 year warranty. He also thoroughly checked out the units and despite their age, no hard selling for anything extra. Definitely recommend.

The problem was simply the drain. The technician cleared quickly, check the drain and charged a reasonable amount and was on his way. Today: Last night the AC stopped again and this time, it wasn't the drain rather the sensor on the drain. A-Savings, without asking, said in hindsight they should have replaced the sensor then and only charged that today. In my humble opinion, you can tell A LOT about the quality and integrity of someone when they are prepared "to make it right" without being asked. They could have easily got away with charging my wife $300 to $600 instead of $50. So refreshing to witness such integrity and honesty.

He evaluated our glass-enclosed covered patio, which had limited mounting options, and recommended a wall-mounted air handler with the condenser installed on the roof. His proposed installation was much cleaner and more practical than the alternatives we received. Other companies wanted to run the refrigerant lines into an interior closet, down an interior wall, back outside, and then around the side of the house. Conrad's solution avoided all of that. After providing the estimate, he sent me photos of similar installations the company had completed around town, including the concession stand at the local ballpark. Installation day went smoothly. The technicians arrived on time and completed the job in about four hours. The final install looks great, the roof penetration was properly sealed, and the drain line was routed to the scupper/downspout. Before leaving, they tested the mini-split and drain pump and confirmed that everything was operating properly. The qoute was accurate, my text questions were answered quickly, and it was a job well done. I highly recommend Conrad and the team at A Savings Air.

AC Unit Replaced Good Morning. We are original homeowners…read more During the entire 10 years of owning the home, we have suffered with a hot room. No matter what we did or who did it, we could not get that room cool. That one room has a Thermostat which kept our AC unit continuously firing and our eldest Grandson continually complaining. I was so tired of having to replace the capacitor every 1.5 years. We replaced so many of them we kept a spare capacitor. Our annual household budget included $1500 per year in maintenance fees just for the AC unit. We did a lot of research on AC units. We selected Trane because of quality and longevity. We replaced our 4 ton Carrier unit with a 5 ton, 2 phase Trane. We also replaced our gas Furnace with a Trane Furnace. Replacing the Carrier unit has been one of our better decisions since owning the home. We selected Anthony James Air Conditioning & Heating (www.anthonyjamesair.com, anthonyjamesair@gmail.com, 623-244-4006) to do the work. They are recommended by Trane, they are a Trane Comfort Specialist, have been established since 2008 and are owned by 4 brothers. This company is amazing!!! We were told they would start the job at 6:00 am. I walk outside at 6:00 am and all 4 brothers, each with a large working van are starting to unload. They were here from 6:00 am until 3:30. They did not stop for lunch or breaks. They just worked their tail off. They fixed our hot room with the addition of a heat vent (sucks heat out of the room - sorry, former accountant, not sure of the technical name) and optimized the air handlers in the attic. End Result: Our Hot room is no longer hot and is now consistent with the rest of the house. The AC unit hardly runs and is so very quiet. Most of the time, when the AC runs, only the 3 ton portion is running. We also installed two phase thermostats which include software algorithms for balancing the air flow. (Who knew). We are Very Very please with Trane and Anthony James Air Conditioning and Heating. 623-244-4006

Taps was incredibly responsive especially in times of confusion (i.e., realizing at the last minute I needed to hire someone to connect my range hood for proper venting) with work that was certainly beyond his scope. All this is well and good but you can tell a lot about a company after the bills are paid and the work is complete. Last Friday I discovered my thermostat was not working. Taps returned my call immediately and was prepared to adjust his Friday/Saturday plans to come to my house and see what was going on. With the outside temperatures more than pleasant I told him this was not a rush and could wait until Monday. Juha showed up this morning to see what was going on. He determined it was some old wiring which that had gone bad and fixed it immediately. Their prices are more than reasonable. Most importantly, they are responsive and someone I have come to trust. You can't put a price tag on this kind of attitude and work ethic in a time where many people just want to get the work done with little regard to the overall quality.

The estimator also said they needed to install pumps to run the drains outside. This quote was for a 600 square-foot Casita the main living area is 200 ft.² and the bedroom area which doesn't include the walk-in closet or bathroom is about 350 ft.² The beginning of April 2026 the installers came out we ran the lines and installed the two head units in the pumps which actually sit outside the wall mounted to my exterior wall, but whatever. The owner was very upset when they came out and tried to get us to pay more saying the estimator underbid the work. I told them no that's what we agreed upon and the contract that I signed going in for the Work. One week later after the install, we had two days worth of cooling and no AC shortly thereafter. They argued with us tried to charge us for coming out to estimate. Finally, they sent their tech out who said the issue was actually in our existing unit outside, which I found very interesting because they're Installer had disconnected the lines from that unit and rerun them and reinstalled them and pressure tested them and found no issues. They then came out two days later agreeing to fix the problem on the outside unit, but then their tech and their tech trainee went up in the attic and my husband could hear them speaking in Spanish talking about an issue in the lines in the head that went into the 200 square-foot room. They did whatever they did, we didn't get charged, we had consistent cooling and they left. Fast-forward to July 9, the house started being 79, 80, 81, 82... slowly increasing as the temperature continue to rise. I called the company asked them to Warranty their work and they refused. They said if they sent somebody out, they would charge a service fee to look at it and then a further charge to repair any issues. "I can have someone out first thing in the morning to see what is going on. If you need someone to come out now, it will be a charge of $185 to see what is going on. What would you like to do?" I declined. Today, 8/2/26, it's 109° outside and 87° in the 200 square-foot room in my Casita. Both windows and our front door and the window to our storm door are covered with reflectix. Directly across from the head unit reads 83.7. We're not able to sleep. I've had to purchase a portable evaporative cooler to carry around and we work from home and help care for two toddler grandchildren it's miserable. I do not recommend this company for any air-conditioning work whatsoever. Also, when you look under the condensate pump on the split unit, you'll see a line of rust running down my wall because it wasn't installed properly. Again, they don't Warranty their work stay away.
