We have been customers for 8 years. Spencer is amazing. They are so responsive and always handle any issue (there have only been 2 maybe 3) professionally and swiftly. We had to cut their pipe to handle a clean out issue and he was so helpful in navigating the fix and repair. I really just cant thank him and his team enough. On Friday they made me an appt for repair on Monday at noon, and they arrived at noon! Also- as a side note. I didn't realize how spoiled I was with the soft water system they installed. Icon Water and Spencer are Old School! It's not often in todays age you find someone willing to go the extra mile to make their customers happy. And, I should know because I AM OLD and I've experienced many techs come and go over the years. My wife got home from work about 6:30 PM and discovered water coming from underneath our kitchen sink which appeared to be coming from the RO system. It was late and I was hesitant to call, but water was now starting to flow onto the kitchen floor. I shut off the water to the house and called Icon thinking I would get a recording, but to my surprise Spencer answered almost immediately. He dropped whatever he was doing and took the time to troubleshoot the problem over the phone and isolate the leak until Ryan could come out and fix the problem... get this... the next day! This is long long over due, I recommend ICON water to anyone and everyone that is need of a water softener repair or a new one installed. My Wife and I purchased a home in corona and the water softener was completely shot beyond repair due to the previous owner not maintaining it for years. This is the second system I have purchased. My family and I wanted great quality drinking water at a touch of a faucet and right out of the fridge. And now I don't have to replace fridge filters! Great work Icon. Spencer was great to work with, answered all my dumb questions without any pressure to buy. Gave me a few different options and the end result has been great. Install went well. There was a small leak that started after they had left and we called to let them know, they came out the next day and fixed it quickly. Went with a water softener and a carbon filter and the difference was noticeably better almost right away. Our daughter hated us brushing her hair before. Screamed bloody murder. Completely satisfied with my initial service of installing a water softener and water filtration system. Robert and Steve were great. One of the biggest issues you can have with a company is not getting satisfactory results when a problem needs to be addressed. We had a single miscommunication that they handled perfectly. I'll try to briefly illustrate. Picture the hottest day of summer, which it was (July 6), and Steve somehow working through the heat to install our new system under direct sunlight. Many systems are installed in the garage, but our system had to be installed outside because of the valve locations. We had an issue with where it was installed. It was supposed to be a few feet more over to keep it from being visible outside my window. I let them know and they came back and fixed it within a couple days without any complaints. I really felt bad asking for it as he was standing in front of me covered in sweat from the days work, but they were completely professional about it. We even worked out some slight customizations to the install that were priced perfectly. Additionally, my wife got to dive into the science of the different systems ICON offers during the estimate. The value of what you're getting from them is superb. It's certainly tempting to go with a cheap system from the hardware store, but I'm confident my money was well spent with ICON. If anything changes about my opinion after our first service call, I'll be sure to post it. read more

I recently purchased a home that had an ICON system already installed. There was absolutely no paperwork on the system. I called Robert (owner) and he was able to access the address and the service history on the unit. Turns out the system had not been serviced for 5 years!! He had a technician out to the house within 30 minutes with all the filters and parts required to have my system up and running!! Great company! read more

This is long, but if you're still considering Icon, you'll want to read it! Robert "quotes" me in his response, but those quotes are as real as the rest of his claims of my satisfaction with Icon. Here's the detail on the issues: (1) Icon charged me $2,000 for a water treatment system and refused to provide a valid serial number so I could get warranty service from the manufacturer. Robert claims the serial number is on the equipment, but both the manufacturer and a local authorized dealer have confirmed it is not. Icon still has not provided a valid serial number despite multiple direct requests and a promise to do so. This leads the manufacturer and me to question if Icon did provide me with the new system I paid for. Was I fraudulently provided with a used system? Why else is no serial number available? Fraud is a crime. (2) I discovered that the system supplied by Icon used the wrong valve (the valve is the most expensive part of the system and does all the work). Is this another part of the apparent fraud? (3) I complained that Icon did not provide any paperwork on the system. This is the one item Robert does respond to. He did email me a link to the instruction manual, etc on the manufacturer website, but did not provide a serial number for the warranty card, as discussed above. (4) Icon does not follow basic industry practices and would not even look at a malfunctioning system they had just installed system without advance agreement to pay an additional $129 fee. In Icon's response Robert agrees that their system wasn't working properly, he agrees that he demanded this fee and pretends that this is okay, but he ignores that the manufacturer and every other local supplier said it was inappropriate to demand additional fees on a defective new system. Amazingly, in Robert's response, you can see that his only attempt to work on this matter was to call the manufacturer to try to stop them from helping me out and to claim that I am lying that another local authorized dealer fixed my problem. This is just crazy. Why would I lie that the manufacturer and another dealer helped with my system? Robert claims that he is the only authorized Performance Water Products dealer in the area. Why make a statement that is so easy to prove is a lie? I was referred to Robert by someone at another manufacturer. I called her to share my experience. Turns out, I'm not alone in having problems. She was already very upset at him. She'd already heard from other customers and considers Robert a thief. His claim that he's had no other complaints in 34 years in business is 100% false. On that topic, I discovered that Icon previously did not provide proof of its claimed 1984 establishment date to BBB and they noted it as a negative on their record. I would not be surprised if this was a lie too. Good luck if you do hire Icon after reading this! read more

We have been customers for a long time, left for a while and came back only to feel ripped off again. These guys over charge BIG TIME. They changed our filters, we had a 24+ hr leak, they came out and charged even more to replace a ball valve that didn't even need to be done that day - but they needed to validate them coming back to fix a leak. They never gave us a price BEFORE the work, after talking to my plumber, I regret letting them do any more work! $100 bucks an hour, and they are not even certified plumbers! Serious over charge $ and I will never have them back. They also play games, they said we didn't have a waterkey to turn off our water on the original appt, then Steve miraculously found it during his visit to fix the leak. These guys must think we are idiots to not think Steve took it home and returned it. Be careful if you are a customer - Robert will talk circles around you telling you he wants you to be happy. Lesson learned, ICON, you got us, again. read more

Spencer over at Icon water is the man. I wanted a reverse osmosis water purification system and had been shopping around. The quotes from other companies were outrageous and I felt they were trying to gouge me. My parents have been using Icon for many years and I decided to call. I spoke to Spencer who took over the family business from his dad Robert. I got really good vibes from him. He was easy to talk to and I had him come out and give me a quote. When I got the quote I was sure there was some mistake or that he was using subpar equipment. I was wrong. I google the equipment he was going to use and found that it was some the best equipment on the market. My wife and I could not decide if we wanted an RO alkaline water or just standard RO. He told me he had a way I could have both. So that was about 2 months ago and we are over the top happy about our purchase. No more bottled water. He is now going to do a tankless water heater and water softener system. Great company. Great quality and great water. read more
