Dan installed a drinking water system professionally and efficiently at a fair price. He provided a link to a system that many of his customers purchased on Amazon. He communicated quickly and answered all my questions. After delivery of system we scheduled installation. I tested the new drinking water against the the faucet water and the filtered refrigerator water. I can't believe the difference! Faucet water tested "Above EPA Limit" (in the red 500+), filtered refrigerator registered "Check Your Water" (in the red 301-499) and the new drinking water registered "Very Pure" (in the blue in the 0-50 range at 17!) We'd heard how bad Murrieta water is so we've been buying bottled drinking water. So glad we've finally made the change and know it's the best decision for our family. Despite Dan being booked up for the day, he managed to squeeze me in for the early morning. He said he would be here between 8-9AM, but actually got here earlier than 8, which was great! He was courteous in texting me prior to his early arrival, just to make sure it would be ok. I love when people arrive on time and provide updates on ETAs. A red flag for me is when someone fails to give me an update or shows up much later than the estimated time. The way I see if, if someone doesn't respect your time, then it's a "no" to having them come out. Dan completed the work within an hour and charged us 1/3 of what this other company was going to charge. Amazing! Dan works alone, which I like because what I've found is that the large companies with many employees, the quality of work isn't really a guarantee. Because Dan works alone, he makes sure he does a great work and that his customers are happy. After the work was completed, he cleaned up the area and showed us the hairline crack causing the leak. He even recommended someone to repair the stucco. It was such a pleasure having Dan coming out. Texted Winder at 2:25pm on Saturday saying I had a broken outdoor faucet that I beleive needed cutting soldering and a new faucet. I had to shut my main water off due to the faucet being wide open and unable to close. Received at response at 2:29pm saying they could be right out. I asked for a time frame and an estimate. Got an immediate response saying it would be the minimum $225 to $300 depending on the work involved and parts. I was expecting a couple hundred given the response on a Saturday. Received a 20 minute eta text and Dan showed up at exactly an hour from his first response. I showed Dan the damage and it entailed just what I had expected. Dan let me choose the type of fitting and faucet I wanted and got right to work. First of all, I have YELP to thank for finding this plumber. My family tossed a sizeable amount of rice down the garbage disposal and apparently did not run the water long enough to get the rice through all the pipes and it got stuck. BADLY stuck. Rice softens and turns to an almost glue like substance and when there is a lot of glue, there is a problem. Kitchen sink was worthless. Dishwasher was worthless. As handy as my wife thinks that I am, I proved to be worthless at resolving this too. I called "Winder Plumbing", and guess who answers? Dan Winder! No operator routing calls. Made an approximate time that he would be there, and called a few minutes before to make sure we were still on.
