Loved, loved, loved this referral (from James French, who also was a fantastic find this year!). Called yesterday afternoon and Alex answered. Told him I've got a badly dripping tub spout and also a hissing toilet. His son Andrew arrived at 8:30 today, right on time! (Even though this was no emergency...refreshing.) Andrew was polite and quick and helpful. It's funny...what a Home Warranty company told me years ago (when it was a tiny, minor drip) would require "chainsawing through the travertine tile to fix"...Andrew fixed in less than an hour after a quick drive to Lowe's to get the parts! AND NO TILE DESTRUCTION WAS INVOLVED! He said only one side was dripping but said we could be proactive and fix both (original) for a reduced, packaged price...which was of course a no brainer and very appreciated. Then he fixed my hissing toilet (which my hubby said later he could've done himself...but he had the chance when I told him it was hissing, so....)...I was just happy to have all the dripping and all the noises stopped. Due to a leaky ice maker supply valve, I had to turn off the water to the house using the exterior gate valve while having new appliances installed. After shutting off the water, the installs were completed. When I tried to turn the water back on, it wouldn't flow more than a trickle no matter how much I turned the valve. I reached out to several local plumbers leaving messages or texts as instructed, but Alex was the ONLY one who answered live. We discussed the issue, he asked questions, had me send a picture, and then quoted me a very reasonable price immediately and told me he would be out within 2 to 4 hours. He showed up promptly, checked the situation to make sure there were no other issues, then proceeded to knock it out of the park for me. He replaced the existing valve with a new ball valve and watching him work was a study in the artistry and mastery of plumbing as I had severely damaged the valve while trying to shut it off. Andrew is just great! So reliable and trustworthy! We have hired him a few times so far since last year and I have nothing but good things to say about him. First of all, I like him because he's competent and skillful. The tankless water heater he installed last year has been working flawlessly and he just replaced our old bathtub spout, lever handle, and shower head, which turned out perfect as well. He also seems to be very honest. I never felt he tried to overcharge or oversell. The price is always reasonable and he tries to find the most cost effective way for us. He doesn't promote certain products or items either unless there's a good reason. He'd rather show a lot of different options and help us find the right product. We had a couple plumbers in the past who tried to sell a whole house water filtering system for over $6K, saying our pipes wouldn't last long if we didn't get it soon. But, Andrew said the decision was completely up to us and he would gladly help us with installation if/when we decided to do so. One more thing I'd like to mention is his punctuality. So far, he has always shown up on time without exception, which I appreciate a lot. I like people who respect other people's time.
