Look no further, this is the one! We've had several plumbers to our residence over the years and I am thrilled to have finally found one who is dedicated, educated, and reasonable with the prices. Many things have been neglected in our older home in Menifee, so I prepared a list before he arrived. He communicated very well our appointment time, when he was on the way, and when he arrived at the house. He talked me out of many things on the list but then did make a recommendation for something that might "assist" our old pipes and his quote was way more reasonable than a competitor had given us in the past for the same or similar service. The most important issue when he arrived in late December 2023 was a clogged bathroom sink and he had it unclogged in no time after my efforts not only failed but made the problem even worse; go figure. I purchased a home with a backyard fire pit that didn't work. I found this company on Yelp and met with Chris, the owner. Really nice guy and very knowledgeable. I had an immediate trust with him and hired him to do the job. It required digging up my lawn and running 50 feet of gas line, and installing a new valve and fire ring. Chris and his crew did an excellent job and we now have a working fire pit. He his honest, trustworthy, and had very reasonable prices. And he made sure to stay within the quoted price. He caused minimal damage, repaired my lawn, and left the yard clean as can be. I've included a before and after photo of the lawn, and will update with a photo of the finished product once I've put the final touches on it. I'm not a plumber. That's why guys like me hire plumbers. I hired Chris to repair a leaky pipe in my garage. It was a pipe coming into the garage, going to a pressure reduction valve, and then going into the house. Unbeknownst to me the pipe was leaking at both sides of the pipe. Chris quoted me a price of $140. His was the only quote I asked for due to his high reviews. $140 seemed respectable so I hired him. He arrived and was pleasant and professional. He was surprised the pipe was 1.25" and not 1". He said I told him 1". I knew I didn't but didn't know where that info came from until I re-read our messages and saw he mentioned 1". I guess that's the standard size and I did t correct him. He fixed the leak I pointed out to him. I purchased $50 worth of 1.25" copper pipe in anticipation of a friend fixing it. The friend fell through. I had no need for the pipe so I gave it to Chris. I didn't mind and it was my idea. Technically I was out $190 for this repair. I looked the next day and I still had some dripping. Turns out the fitting just needed to be retightened. He came back and did that and left. But I still had a leak. Turns out the upper pipe leak, which was dripping onto the lower pipe, was masking a leak from the lower pipe. From my standpoint this is one problem. I understand I missed that leak but I also believe it is all part of the same problem. I also believe if a plumber comes to fix a leak he should be able to find a second leak 10" away. I contacted Chris and told him of the problem. He advised it was going to cost an additional $150. Definitely not what I signed up for. I respected the fact a man has to make a living and the job didn't go as planned. In the end I offered him $100 cash and reminded him I have him the $50 worth of pipe that was $290 total out of pocket for me. He wanted the $140 I gave him plus an additional $150 and he ignored the issue of the $50 pipe. I was polite and professional and he accused me of threatening to retaliate against him. Completely untrue. That was the point I was done negotiating. My biggest complaint is his lack of detail finding the leak 10" away and his lack of professionalism when he accused me of threatening to retaliate. I'm posting screenshots of our communication for reference. I apologize if they are out of order. EDIT: I never threatened a bad review as his reply states. EVER! Terrible service. Didn't show up and then when I called to ask where he was he said he didn't have a unit number so he said he knocked on all the doors but stopped once he caught someone outside. He said he asked her if she knew me and she said no so he just left.... We're relatively new to the neighborhood so we don't know anyone besides our direct neighbors. Chris did an excellent job with a mainline backup that ultimately involved jackhammering my garage floor. This was not a cheap process and Chris is not a cheap plumber. If I wanted a cheap plumber I'd have called my handyman and taken my chances, but for something like this it needs to be done right. I found his prices in line with what I expected. Chris was willing to come out on Saturday night due to the urgency of the situation, which four other 5-star Yelp plumbers were either not willing or able to do. Not fun for him to do that I'm sure, but hopefully the fat check eases the pain a bit. As it happened, this turned into a three and a half day job. Chris and his crew were at all times professional, friendly, courteous, and informative. He gave me options, warned me in advance about what he knew and what he had yet to uncover and so was not yet sure about. He was up front about various costs and gave me opportunities to opt out or get additional competing quotes, and he was suitably concerned about the accumulating financial hit that was coming down on me. Not that he could do much about that, but it's always better to work with someone who displays awareness and empathy for the customer. I called General Plumbing about 5 PM because my hot water heater was leaking and making a small flood in my garage. I found them on YELP. I received a call back in about 30 minutes. Chris came to my house, assessed the situation, gave me several options and recommended that I get 3 quotes. I really appreciated that he did not put any pressure on me as to which option to take or even to use his company. He did not know that I had already done some research and had an idea of what the problem might be and what a reasonable price would be. I had him install a new hot water heater. Chris came to my home to install a new toilet and supply line valve (angle stop). He told me toilet install would be $125. He told me valve would be $85. I supplied the toilet and the supply hose. He supplied the valve. He asked me to turn off water to the house and the well. I did. He finished those two things in 30-40 minutes. He asked me to turn on the water and well so he could check the toilet. It worked great. Because I liked his attitude, I asked him to replace two hose bibs outside the house. He said ok. He asked me to turn off the water to the house, again, including the well, and then to open every faucet in the house. I did all that. He replaced the bibs in 17-22 minutes. He asked me to turn on the water, well, and all the faucets to check the seals. I did. Bibs worked fine. He then wrote me a bill for FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY US DOLLARS ($430). He was here one (1) hour. He supplied a valve, 2 hose bibs, tools for job, insurance, a plumbers license, and knowledge. Yep. read more

I was in trouble regarding my hot water heater. Companies were not available, booked up. Strolling Yelp I found General Plumbing Services. I gave Chris some basic information about my hot water heater issues. He arrived within the hour. Checking the heater he determined what possibly caused the problem. Chris contacted the warranty company. The were difficult. Therefore, I decided it was best to get a new hot water heater. Chris arrived today, however, there was a propane valve issue. He turned off the propane and proceeded to install the new heater. I contacted the servicing company. Chris addressed problem with a supervisor. He indicated a technician would be dispatched. Finishing up his work Chris left. The technician arrived. Then I looked up and Chris was back. Explaining, he passed the tech on the road and turned around. They discussed the propane matter that damaged my hot water heater purchased 2 years ago. Afterwards Chris left. The propane at this time is working.
