I paid $60 to have a gel overlay put on top of my natural nails after being there over 2 hours. The lady attempted the design i wanted but it was so bad i asked her to just remove it bc it had been over 2 hours. (i am not picky at all but it looked like a 3 year old scribbled in my nails). I only go to this salon for emergencies when my regular nail tech is not available and I regret it every time. ‍ I got a fill-in done and the quality is poor. I can tell from the way she applied it (flooding my cuticles) that my nails will be lifting in less that two weeks. I've been here multiple times and never had an issue. The visit this week really had me questioning whether I should return or not. I got a mani and pedi, mani was ok (except there was no massage that I paid for and it was just the basics being provided when I paid for a deluxe level) and the pedi experience made me feel like an afterthought. The girl worker seemed more interested in talking to her coworker than paying attention to pedi order. I heard the talking and the girl said she forgot about one of the steps before painting my nails so she did it after. When she was using the callous remover on my foot she was overly aggressive. I was wincing, pulling back and told her multiple times she was hurting me. At no point did she look at my heel that was now raw, she put it back in the hot water which was very painful. It's been a few days and my foot still hurts which led to the post, no I didn't say anything or ask for the manager because it was close to closing time and I really just wanted to get out of there to tend to my foot. read more

The inside is really beautiful and well maintained, they have a large variety of colors to choose from, and the staff was helpful and friendly! Check, check, check! My nails were in such rough shape that I was almost too embarrassed to get them done. My nail tech made me feel at ease, and she made my toes and stubby little finger nails look great! I chose to do a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. She matched up the nail polishes for me, and both ended up looking fabulous! I thought the prices were reasonable, and I truly felt pampered here. They want to get you in and out, Full price and bottom level service. First time getting SNS nails for $45. There was no trimming of cuticles or handcare. She slapped a few tips on to elongate broken nails and then chopped them super short (?) I had to ask her twice to please narrow the nail and edges as they looked like fat square blocks. Very unattractive. She cut my thumb on the side, and didn't even get the SNS all the way down to the cuticle, so it's crooked paint now. As soon as she was done she handed me my ticket and told me to pay at the front, then walked away. I went to the front absolutely underwhelmed and asked for some hand cream as i paid. First I would like to say Nora is the best ever and I her her personally a 5 star++!!!!! She was so kind and considerate and did what I preferred and knew what she was doing! However, with no appt had Lilly and I was completely astounded! The finger and toe polish did not match near close. She asked what shape nail I would like and when I told her she filed a complete opposite shape. I put 2 tips on my big toes that she made crooked after explaining to her they are not straight. I have been coming to ICOLOR Nail bar in Belmont since they opened. I use Tony- he is awesome and does a wonderful pedicure and gel manicure. The problem is not with the nails, quality, price, cleanliness....my problem is the way the salon is managed. I ALWAYS make an appointment- and the girl at the front ALWAYS messes it up. Today I made an appointment for 3pm to enjoy a pedicure with my husband (again the apt was with Tony) Tony did not start my pedicure until 3:40pm that is ridiculous. My husband was already finished wit his pedi. I can understand it this mix up only happened once or twice but it happens continually. Management allows this incompetence over and over again. I just got a mani pedi done at this place and was very unhappy with the file job and the paint job that Tony did. I feel like I could have done a better job myself. After examining my paint job on my manicure, there were bumps all over my nail. The paint line near my cuticle was rigid and sloppy, so I told him to remove the color. I expressed that I thought it was very sloppily done, but he thought I was unhappy with the paint color and kept defending his paint job. After taking the paint off, I noticed that my nails looked really scratched, and the square shape I had requested looked a little more like a ragged triangle on some nails I went to talk to the manager to see if someone else could redo my nails. My mom went with me to get a mani pedi, and hers looked great. I thought maybe the girl doing my mom's nails could do my nails. Instead, he offered to do them himself, so I agreed. He came over to redo them and did a better job at filing them but still not great. The whole time he was working, he was berating me for not communicating my disappointment with Steve and defended his work. (I did! He did not understand!) I thought that was terrible customer service. He then buffed my nails again. They were so scratched, but he deemed them ready to be painted. I was so unhappy I didn't even want him to attempt repainting my nails. I washed my hands and went to pay for my mani-pedi. Well, I really didn't think I should have to pay for the manicure at all, but he knocked off 10% and coincidentally knocked off another customer. After getting home, I further examined my toes. Beyond 5 stars for Nora at icolor .. LISTEN ! I have had acrylics on for 15 years... I hav gone to hundreds of nail salons all over North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Never once in 15 years have I felt the urge to write a review. Not once. I pay extreme attention to detail, and am a perfectionist about my nail shape, and it is surprisingly difficult to find someone who just does an honestly REALLY good job. They are almost always crooked or bumpy or too thick etc. Not from this place!! This lady is the real deal girls you have to see her. She stayed with me an HOUR past closing time to perfect my nails and paid such incredible attention and effort into my nails. You could tell she really just wants to do her job WELL and for you to be happy. She was also tremendously sweet and a genuine pleasure to talk to during the hour + that she worked on me. These nails are for my wedding day and I can honestly say I am SO happy I landed in Nora's chair for what was the most important set of nails of my life. Highly highly recommend. Just go. read more
