My husband RARELY gets pedicures so we planned a special day together starting with couple pedicures. We made an appointment 4 weeks ago. We arrived on time to find a packed house and no one available to serve us. We were asked to take a seat. After 20 min without attention we left. I find this to be poor customer service! If you have an appointment then you should get preference and they should not take walk-ins prior to your arrival! I've been coming her for a few months, I've only got my nails done by Kay and probably won't try anyone else. She's always warm and takes her time making sure she is happy with her work. The atmosphere isn't for everyone, the owner has a strong, sarcastic personality. They do a lot of talking and laughing while they work. It doesn't bother me, but might bother other. Everyone is always super friendly when I come here. The service can be inconsistent at times due to the salon being busy, but you are able to call and make appointments. My star rating is based on sanitation and overall time visit time since my last visit lasted for almost 3.5 hours for pedicure and SNS dip. Unlike some other salons, there weren't disposable/one time use containers used for the dip powder. I'd recommend for a quick simple visit. read more

This place is AMAZING! Ask for Lisa - she is professional and the only nail tech I know of that takes the time to take additional nail courses to better her craft and it shows! My cuticles are always super clean and that is HUGE! I used to go to a salon in Charlotte and pay twice the amount and my polish would start lifting from the cuticles. PLUS her personality is such a good way to end a work day. I was a bit timid to go back to a salon after salons opened back up after Phase 2 but the this salon has taken so many precautions to make me feel safe. Masks are required, they have plastic barriers between client and technician and they take everyone's temperature as soon as they walk in the door. I went for a mani/pedi. I don't like people touching my feet but this pedicure was very pleasant. On to my acrylic nails! I asked for oval nails and was told that she can only do square shape AFTER she had already applied the acrylic. Plus, I was charged extra to make the nails on the shorter side. Hands down...best salon in town!!!! Very nice, extra clean and on top of that, the technicians were top notch. My toes and fingers look better than any salon I have been to. Great Nail Salon! I'm not very familiar with the Belmont area since I live in Charlotte. I was looking for a nail salon so my boyfriend and I could go get our feet done (: I am very picky when it comes to, where I get my nails done. But let me tell you, we loved our experience there. Lisa did a fantastic job on my toes! The nail painting was impeccable! All employees wore mask and they have dividers between every two sets of pedicure massage chairs along with a divider between that nail tech and you. Edited: new owners as of my last visit on 4/19/18. It's not the same experience at all. I was not impressed with service or quality. Plus, they increased prices by $5 per service. Now I have to find a new place! Ugh! Had a really positive experience here today. I walked in at 12:07 and there was already a wait but it wasn't a big deal. Got gel mani/basic pedi. Both done well with great attention to detail. I like the modern, clean altmosphere and choice of music. I'm not into matching my fingers and toes, but thought I'd share that they have both regular and gel polish in the same shade, right next to each other on the shelf. Seriously, no one Elsa waiting in the only one there and he turns away business because he wants to pop off my acrylics instead of soak off to not damage my nails! Are you kidding me. Easily the worst manicure I have ever received. My nails were all filed unevenly (slanted, some squared some oval), when cutting my cuticles they cut 6 of my fingers making them bleed, the nail polish has streaks and bubbles all in it. My nails were so bad that I went to another salon the next day and had to get tips put on because they completely filed down my nails. read more

This place closes at 7:30 PM. I arrived at 6:45 and was told they could not take any more clients for the day. Obviously the place was busy however understaffed and unprofessional. I have never been to a business that closed in 50 minutes and could not be seen. I will no longer recommend or get my nails done at this location again. V-nails off of Steele Creek does an awesome job and Will become my full-time place. Lastly if you would like an additional color on the tip of your nail ( when getting a French they charge an additional five dollars as they consider this nail design - The exact same amount of polish is used with this method and no other salon that I know of would charge an additional five dollars for different color. read more

Not enough staff working. Turned away 6 clients while in the pedicure chair than told no time to do manicure because they did not understand that was what we wanted when we walked in. They were quick and didn't take a ton of time to scrub my feet or massage my hands. I was fairly satisfied until I took a closer look. The girl doing my nails had filed down some of my nails further than the others resulting in my nails being different lengths.... This is one of my biggest pet peeves. When my feet were dry she brought over sandals to put on my feet, but she put them on the wrong foot then didn't bother to fix it. I have been going to Lavender since they opened. Alex and Linda are very professional and are just a joy to be with. The pedicures are awesome...and if I go when they're not too busy, they let me spend extra time in the massage chair. They are both so friendly....and they're the only nail specialists I've been to that actually converse with me. great service. everyone complaining is honestly being pretty high maintenance. no i don't work there only frequent fairly often. i understand it's disappointing that they don't do acrylic but it's just not something they offer...so what. as far as the fact that they "turn down" people... this place is walk-in only--meaning you are welcome to come in and get your service done if you wait. if people choose not to wait then that's on them. lavender does a great job and has a great atmosphere that's why they are always so busy and why they can sometimes have a bit of a wait. they work really hard from what i can see and always have a customer back to back. kudos to them. read more
