Everyone here is so kind and welcoming, and you can truly tell the staff enjoys being here. It feels like a big family. As a mom of a toddler, I also have to give a huge shoutout for how thoughtful and family-friendly this restaurant is. There's a changing table in both the women's and men's restrooms, plus a training seat in the handicap stall and even a little stool at the sink. We have had a very terrible experience at hibachi table. We were first seated at the hibachi and we order veg hibachi and fried rice with no eggs. At that time server didn't say anything. She came back few mins later and said that they likely can't accomodate our food request since their hibachi grill is small and doesnt have enough space to separate eggs. We asked her that we have been to at least 7-8 hibachis in past at so many places and there was never an issue - not a single time. So why only this hibachi is not able accomodate a simple request. But even the manager failed to accomodate our simple request and they asked us to move from hibachi table to dining area. This is a very very insulting behavior in front of other people who were looking at us now. Is this how you serve the people? This was a very insulting experience. And so we left without eating. This happened on 17th Dec 2025 around 6.25pm. You guys ruined our special marriage anniversary dinner. And FYI - we went to another hibachi in Medway after this for our dinner and they accomodate us perfectly. They even cooked our vegetables separately from other meat and asked us repeatedlt how was our experience etc. so kuch better than your unnecessarily overrated place and bad mannered staff and managed. read more

My family has been going here for many years and I've previously provided a great review. However our experience last night was very different. We went for Hibachi, we were a party of seven. We were one of the first groups there for dinner. Walking into the hibachi room felt like walking into a sauna. Within a few minutes of being seated we were all so hot that I asked the waitress about the room temperature and she said "this is as good as it gets". We all had sweat dripping down our faces through the experience, it was brutal. As for the food, maybe we got a newer chef. He was lackluster, the fried rice which is normally a favorite was very underseasoned and bland. Six of us got the chicken and none of us ate it. The pieces were so dry. And the vegetables were quite undercooked. To top it off I was the last to get rice, chicken and vegetables at our table and basically got 1/2 the portion size and what I got was the very crispy scraps at the bottom. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon. I wish we had left as soon as we walked in and felt like we were sitting on the sun. read more

The chef cooking our meal was fun and that part of it was a good experience, but the food itself wasn't actually that great. We enjoyed the rice, but all of the other stuff lacked flavor. There was a waitress going around tending to the tables for drinks and other items, but she wasn't as attentive as we had hoped. We sat there many times with our drinks emptied and just waiting for a refill, but it didn't seem like she was caring much about our table. It wasn't even really that busy, so I'm not sure what the deal was, but that definitely affected our experience. It's pretty disappointing because I've always seen that place and wanted to try it as I go to the gym close by and was hoping that this would be our go-to place, but it was disappointing. Our son asked to go here for his birthday as we love Teppanyaki grills and we've been here before having had a very good experience. This time was such as disappointment. I put on the on-line reservation that it was my birthday as well as my 12 year old son's. We told the front and our waitress about the birthday's because my son really wanted the Gong drum and birthday song. Many tables were celebrating birthday's and we heard other's getting the cheer throughout our dinner. When it came time to pay, the waitress just brought over the check and asked if we wanted anything else. We sat awkwardly wondering if they would ever come to sing. When it was clear they weren't coming, we got up and left. My wife did talk with the manager on the way out and he comped a scoop of ice cream and small lava cake to go. It was such as disappointment. Teppanyaki's are entertainment as much as a meal. We made it clear it was our birthday's and specifically came for the fun. Our son was very disappointed. Food was delicious & cooked perfectly to everyone in my party's request. They were able to substitute miso soup for the mushroom soup. When we went to pack up the leftovers asked for a to go container for the ginger steak sauce & was given several! The only issue we had was it was uncomfortably hot in the hibachi room. At least 8-10 degrees warmer than by the bar & entryway. We asked our server if they could put some air on & they responded "I wish they could but they won't." We love the food and the show and therefore tolerate the loud atmosphere and the cramped seating with other parties. Where this place starts to fail is the food itself. Not quality, but irregular quantity. I am not saying they should weigh it out, but person #1 and #2 got twice as much meat as we did, being seated at the end. Since I do pay the same amount of money, I expect to get a comparable amount of meat. For the price we are paying, this is not acceptable. The waiter, while nice, was also not interested in refilling my soda (clearly empty) and just came with water. They seem to focus more on throughput than quality. Since I wrote this, the other sushi place in same town has failed. I went in Ichie more recently & asked for a paper menu for further use, for take-out. The manager on duty said, "Just go get a smart phone." This attitude really turned me off. I did take part of his advice: JUST GO. & never went back. The time I went earlier, they had plenty of farmed salmon & avocado-type selections. Pretty bland. The entertainment aspect of it may be good if youre looking for that. I've been here a few times but this was my first time at the hibachi table. There were a lot of staff and hour waitress was friendly and made sure we had drinks and got the starters out quick. Soup and salad was good and we got some sushi to start too which was tasty. The hibachi chef was engaging with everyone including the kids and did some fun tricks. The actual hibachi was good just not amazingly good. I would say above average but I actually think the sushi is a better play if you come. Restaurant itself is nice. There was a problem with a ceiling leak they were dealing with because of an HVAC issue but they had it taken care of quickly and without disruption to guests. I came to the restaurant tonight as part of a large party that included children for hibachi. The chef did his normal routine of going around the table squirting water into the kids mouths and sake for the adults. Totally normal experience. Then the second round of this, the chef decided to humiliate me by refusing to honor the hand signals I was repeatedly giving him to stop and intentionally soaked my front in sake. When I say soaked, I mean I was drenched in sake from my neck to halfway down my chest-- the was not a simple one second too long, he was relentless and intentional in what he did. It was totally inappropriate and completely mortifying, I ran from the table fighting back tears so I could go to the bathroom and sop up my sake soaked bra with paper towels. Again, there were kids with us... not that this would have been acceptable if there weren't but this was completely disgusting behavior. Hibachi? Yes please! Easy reservation over the phone. When we arrived, they were ready for us! Our hibachi master was engaging. He was great with kids (and adults!) It was my daughters first real time at Hibachi (before she was too young to remember.) She LOVED it! I did a combo filet and chicken. She had a kids chicken. I shared with her. Portions- plenty for leftover! The filet, extremely taste. Almost melted in my mouth. I recently went to another hibachi restaurant and their filet just wasn't as good as Ichigo's! The decor is hip, stimulating and eye catching. Bubbles floating up and down trapped in water walls that change colors. It's dark so the color change is even more stimulating. Overall this place makes me feel good spending a decent amount on dinner because it's a whole experience. My only nay, my son spilled my drink. I alerted staff as there was a puddle on the floor and we were in a walkway area. It sat on the floor for at least 15 minutes before it was cleaned up. I've visited Ichigo twice recently, both times with a reservation for two at the hibachi tables. The first time, the place was packed and, even with a rez, we were forced to stand in a cramped lobby for 30 minutes beyond our time. We checked in several times and were finally seated, but only after the host disappeared twice and returned looking flummoxed. Eventually, we were told to follow him as he practically ran thru the maze of crowded rooms and hibachi tables, losing us in the process. We caught up to him and he indicated two vacant corner seats at a table already seating six people. We practically had to climb and crawl over extra seats and a baby carrier to get to our chairs. The rest of the table had apparently been seated for some time, as drink and app orders had already been taken. We were late to the party. Luckily, the rest of the table was super friendly and welcoming. We quickly ordered cocktails and skipped the apps, since the dinner show was about to begin. The theatrics of our chef were entertaining and fun. But it felt rushed and impersonal. The party with whom we were seated were celebrating 4 years Cancer-free for one among them, which would have created a wonderful atmosphere, had the chef interacted more personally with his audience. But he stuck to his script of the obligatory shooting of saki into mouths around the table and making a lot of noise with his cleavers. The food was actually pretty amazing. We both ordered the chicken. Everything was fresh, piping hot and well seasoned. The chef disappeared the second the cooking was complete. Nobody ever came to take a second drink order. Instead, to-go containers and checks were dispersed, indicating that it was time to shuffle off to Buffalo so the next party could be seated. The second visit was better, maybe because it was less crowded. We were seated on time, again a party of two sharing a table with a few other small parties. This time we were able to order a sushi app. My date is faint of heart when it comes to raw things, so we settled on the California roll, which was delicious. This time, I tried the salmon dinner option, which was amazingly delicious. Again, I had a doggy bag. Also again, the chef's performance felt scripted and rushed. There were young children at the table so there was less saki shooting, even though he did have water to shoot at the kiddos. It was fun, but I was once again left with the feeling that it could've been so much better. The food was worth the trip, at least. The place is very beautiful and there is a nice bar area. I'd like to return and sit there, just to try some different sushi options. Maybe then I'll get offered a second drink. read more

GREAT selection of quality food at Ichigo Ichie: If we could've ordered everything on the menu, we would've. Our group ordered the sushi for three - which was an assortment of heavenly goodness. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of all the rolls, but I guarantee they were good - the pictures will just have to do the talking. The rolls were proportionate and of top-notch quality. The menu could be on the pricier side, but I assure you're not losing a single dime. With hungry eyes, I was eager to order the chicken hibachi. The veggies and chicken were seasoned well. Surprisingly, the chicken itself was very tender - I cannot say that about other hibachi places that tend to overcook protein until it's dry. The fried rice was good, too. I went there tonight and the service and chef's interaction was completely inappropriate towards some young ladies. Everything he said about the food was very sexual in nature. The food was not the best but his behavior was not expected of a chef. Soon after it was time to pay- the waitress harassed these young girls by demanding a tip that they didn't feel they wanted to pay because of the experience I just mentioned. COVID-related stuff: They're offering takeout as well as dine-in. There were tons of people waiting inside upon entering to pick up my takeout. I think they might need to revamp how they are handling people coming in and where they should wait. After the guy found my order (they put it under the wrong name) he promptly took my payment and sanitized my credit card before giving it back to me. Food: Takeout was great. Got udon noodles, shrimp shumai, mushroom soup (1 mushroom makes this mushroom soup?? ), futo maki, volcano spicy tuna roll, and sweet potato roll. We went for dinner last night and sat at the bar. It was 5 PM and almost a full bar. We were greeted quickly got our drinks and ordered w appetizers. After our food arrived we were never even looked at after that. We were sitting right next to service and the bartender did not even look at us. We had empty drinks and sat with dirty plates until I had to ask him for our check.We intended on having another drink and ordering more food but left instead. Brought the family out for an evening of fine cuisine to celebrate my daughter's thirtieth birthday and she picked this restaurant as she loves sushi. Yes, the restaurant is insanely expensive, but the food is very, very good. The beer selection could certainly be broader, but I found something that was of my liking. No samples, so you just need to dive in and take a chance. Anyway, the food was great and all enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant. We declined desert as we had a cake waiting at home. When the bill came I promptly handed the waiter my card, as I always do, so we can slide out when we are ready to leave. He informed me that the gratuity was added to the bill. That is fine, no problem. Tip what you think you are worth. I thought we had a good meal and service to this point. We were a party of seven and had a reservation for Saturday night. We got seated promptly and the staff was decent to us until after I paid the bill. Several times the waiters would come over and clear more of our table as my daughter continued to eat. One even oddly enough one of these waiters apologized and said it was his job to clear the table. Finally, the manager, I presume, came over and thanked us for our business in a hurried manner, while reaching over to take away the remaining dish with food on the table in front of my daughter, of which she was clearly not done. My daughter is a very slow eater, due to a disability, and to do this was not right. He basically showed us the door. Not even the offer of a doggie bag. I was aghast! I called a few days before the date and made reservations for 20 people for my daughters 12th birthday. I made sure to tell the woman that each family in attendance would be paying separately and was assured that wasn't an issue. Saturday - we show up , 5-10 minutes before our 6 pm reservations and automatically were presented with an attitude from the manager on duty as well as the staff. They refused to sit us at our table until all 20 were present, and then complained because there were too many of us clogging up the entrance . We had 18 present - the remaining 2 were running late and we were instructed they would just order their food from the kitchen when they arrived - not to wait for them . The manager would not sit us , absolutely refused , until all 20 were present . This caused chaos and frustration. We told the waiter that we needed the checks broken up when we were sat and was told they could only break it up into 3 bills ... fine . However when the bill game it wasn't broken up and the waiter told us to just figure out what everyone owed on our own because it would take him too long to separate them like originally planned . Not the case , they just wanted the $120 added to the bill for the automatic gratuity plus additional for taxes. Because of this we sat their for an hour or more trying to determine with taxes and portion of the tip each group owed . This ruined the plans we had for the rest of the evening for my daughter as we missed our movie and ruined her birthday . Thanks for ruining a 12 year olds special day! read more

I was in the area for work and was craving sushi like crazy. Thanks to Yelp, I found Ichigo Ichie! It was during COVID, so I ordered right online through their system on the website and had it delivered right to my car. Doesn't get much easier than that! I ordered all vegetarian rolls, and loved each one. The food was great quality and I was impressed with their extensive menu. While it was brief, I was very impressed with their quick and professional service. Everything came out exactly as ordered and delivered to my car with a huge smile and thank you! The chefs are great, the food is some of the best in the local hibachi scene. But last time we were here it was a real dumpster fire and it looks like i'm not the only one who's had a bad experience. 1. We were seated almost 1 hour past our reservation. Everyone was there. 2. We were forgotten. The 10 or so people on our side of the table ordered. about 20 minutes later the other side of the table filled up and they soon ordered. They got a chef before were even got the soups and salads. A different waitress took our order a second time about a half hour after we previously ordered..... 3. A few of us ordered filet. We were served regular steak. A bunch of people ordered regular steak. I have eaten here probably a dozen times in the past 6-7 years. I know the difference. The hibachi Chef forgot to bring out the filet in his little cart. Everyone who got steak got the same regular steak. Not the filet. He said "we out" when asked where the filet is. Any normal person would take that to assume they ran out of filet. But maybe warn customers when they order an hour + before. But the thing is he never announced it when he knew some of us ordered filet and he tried to pass it off like it was nothing. It was not until he was questioned that he let us know "we out" 4. We were charged for the filet that we did not receive. It was a painful process to get the girl to fix our checks. She had the attitude of pretty much like it's only $4 more just pay it. Sorry I work my butt to the bone. I'm not paying for something I did not get. It took her almost a half hour to fix this issue. 5. We were in here for almost 4 hours. 6. No one even pretended to be sorry for the bill mix up, or the fact that we were forgotten or that it took this long. At the very least offer to comp a beer or something. I called twice in the past month to voice my complains and got hung up on twice while waiting to talk to someone that is not a teenager on the phone. read more

True Score: 3.25 Stars Our first time at Ichigo Ichie, to celebrate a birthday. It was surprisingly crowded, but our reserved table was ready. The place is somewhat dark, but it has a nice energized vibe to it. The rolls, sushi and sashimi were presented nicely on a large platter, finely decorated with edible garnish.
