The premade sushi was also going fast and variety was very limited. It seems they are understaffed to handle the amount of business they have.

There is a giant TV screen showing beautiful coastal scenes. It's relaxing, and lifts your mood after fighting traffic on 12 Mile Road. It looks like care was taken with the knickknacks and pictures you see here, too. Everything feels just right. By the time I wrote the previous paragraph, my food was ready. Seriously, it took about five minutes. If you look at the pictures, it doesn't look like it was thrown together, but rather assembled carefully. While the ambience is nice, what really matters is the flavor of the food. And, this is where this humble little place excels. The salmon in my salmon roll was beautifully fresh, and I was given a significant amount. They were eight hearty rolls for $11. The shrimp rolls were a little over half the price, and tasty, though I prefer raw ingredients in my sushi. And, the rice was freshly made, and prepared perfectly. We politely contacted the restaurant and spoke with a manager, who stated that we should have specified "no shrimp." My boyfriend explained that he ordered chicken and steak specifically because of his allergy and was unaware that he needed to additionally request no shrimp, as shrimp was not part of his order. I then asked the manager if, despite the order being placed through DoorDash, we could bring the food back to have it remade without shrimp due to the allergy, in an effort to reach a resolution. The manager responded, "There is no resolution." This experience was extremely disappointing. Nearly $100 was spent on food that my boyfriend could not safely eat, and the lack of concern or willingness to assist from management was frustrating. Due to this experience and the handling of a serious food allergy, we will not be returning or patronizing this business again.
