Absolutely NOT...with all these high reviews I was looking forward to a good meal or THREE. Everything tasted cheap and old. Buffets have definitely lost their spark,even the furniture was ripped up and the service??...I have never had a server rush me out and expect a tip. You weren't closing nor busy and we definitely weren't there long. Cleaned the entire time around us while trying to consume that mess. Stopped by Ichiban Buffet for lunch and overall it was a good experience. The place is big, clean (it a buffet), and easy to move around, even when it's busy. Most of the food was hot and fresh, especially the hibachi, which was the highlight. You pick your items and they cook it right in front of you. The sushi had a good amount of selection and stayed fresh the whole time. Because hibachi is so popular, a few of the other buffet items looked like they had been sitting a bit longer, but nothing was bad. Was looking for a decent buffet in the area and when I say WORST food I've ever had, it's no exaggeration! Granted the large selection, everything was extremely dry, overly salty, and not fresh one bit. The cherry on top was our server put it a higher percentage tip "on accident" in the computer and didn't offer to fix it, just apologized and changed it on my receipt to the higher value. Their dinner prices are not worth wasting money to get diarrhea and the waitresses are so hard up for money that they hound you until you pay and then tell you what they want you to tip them even for their poor service ... OK this Buffet was last on our list to come to, but it was getting late and we needed to eat before we went back to the hotel and we absolutely loved everything on the Buffet. There was a bar where you can pick your own ingredients and have them cook it in front of you and everything was really fresh. I got a variety of things even being vegetarian. I was able to eat a lot of items. Me and my boyfriend both left a really full. I'd like to say that we would be back, but I am not sure if we would ever be back in that area. Always good! Can be busy and they don't always keep up with refilling trays. Can ask. One best way to avoid this is to build your plate for Mongolian stir fry. All nicely done. I have eaten there numerous times, and it was good. Today was an exception. The food was not tasty. I will not go back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. food was absolutely vile, meat that was labelled "chicken" was grey/black meat was probably cat/whatever animal they found dead in the parking lot the night before. Service was appalling, all servers were rude, abrupt and when paying she tried to take the money out of my hand for tip while I was counting it! This place has gone down hill since the lat time I visit them before the pandemic. Last Thursday after leaving Volcano Bay decided to come an eat since it was only a few minutes out and we were starving. Very disappointed in the quality of the food available at the buffet. Very limited amount of sushi, food was either bland or too salty. Dungeon crab had amonia taste like and most of the food was cold. For a Thursday night the restaurant was pretty empty which should have been an indication of what kind of service they have been given. The service is great, the staff is very polite. The ambiance is meh. The food is pretty hit or miss. Mostly seafood and sushi. The chicken is obviously mixed between somewhat fresh and jerky. When I came across Ichiban buffet I saw both and took a shot at it and went to go try them out. It was on Christmas Eve and the line wasn't too bad, 30 minute wait but took like 10minutes to get seated. Food was great, fresh and delicious. I asked a simple question and the wait staff and cashier got a huge attitude about my question. The food was poor and mislabeled.
