line to check into the hotel after cancelled flight. No assistance for the elderly. Very unorganised.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Our flight was cancelled, our luggage was broken. It took them two days to get us home and now no one will return my call or emails about reimbursing the two days of hotels and meals. The broken luggage they are saying isn't their responsibility because I didn't report it within 7 days...but I did. They just are using my original ticket date not the flight two days later that they put me on. The call center basically offered no assistance and said they would neither escalate nor will put me through to the right department. That I was "in queue". My understanding of the law that is that they must reimburse by 7 days and it's already been that amount of time as of today. How on earth is this legal?

Icelandair is the first international airline that I've flown that didn't serve a meal or have free wifi. It's a budget airline, which is no big deal. It's just important to note that if you're traveling to Iceland from another country, these services that are normally complimentary on other airlines isn't offered for free on here. Other than that, I'd say Icelandair had everything I needed. I flew to Iceland through Icelandair as I love that there was a direct flight from Seattle and that it partners with Alaska Airlines, so you can add mileage points when flying Icelandair. With a direct flight to Iceland from Seattle, it was one of the smoothest trips I've taken, if not, the smoothest. I don't think I experienced any turbulence while flying on this 757 Boeing aircraft. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The aircraft had TVs for every seat, but you must carry your own headphones unless you purchase a pair. On my flight home, I didn't have any time to get a meal before boarding, so had no choice but to get food on the place, which was A-OK. The food selection is limited; I had a ham and cheese baguette sandwich with potato chips from Iceland with a local craft beer. The beer was great, as with every beer I had from Iceland! I wouldn't mind flying Icelandair again, knowing that I need to plan ahead of time for food.

I've been hesitating to post this review, in hopes that Icelandair would do SOMETHING that wasn't just incredibly awful customer service, but after almost a month, they have yet to do a single thing that could be considered helpful. Unfortunately, we have never flown on Icelandair, and, at this point, we never will. We booked our return flights from our European vacation through Icelandair, from Barcelona, through Reykjavik, to home, in Seattle nearly 8 full months ahead of the flight. We arrived at the airport 4 hours early, an hour earlier than we could even check-in for the flight. We checked in as soon as the desk opened, 3-hours ahead of our flight, checked our bags, got our tickets and went through security. Once we got through security and were about to get settled to wait for our flight, we received an email from IcelandAir that stated: "We find ourselves needing to reach out once more regarding flight FI683 operated by Icelandair, which, as you may remember, is fully booked. Despite our best efforts to accommodate everyone, we've been unable to secure enough volunteers to adjust their travel plans. With sincere regret, we must inform you that we've had to amend your booking so that you're now scheduled to travel on another flight to your destination. We'll send you an updated itinerary shortly." Again, we were already through security, with bags checked ON THIS FLIGHT, and they remotely bumped us, leaving it to us to figure out how to get to the flight that they "offered" on United as an alternative. The flight on United at that time was less than 2-hours from that time, in a different terminal at Barcelona. We spent about 20-30 minutes chatting with IcelandAir "support", in an attempt to not get screwed over before we decided we needed to start to get to the other terminal if we had any chance of getting home that day. After spending about 20 minutes to get back out of the terminal we were in, travel to the other terminal and check-in, we got caught in the immigration line for the United flight, which left us needing to run about a mile/1600 Meters through the terminal to make the flight, sweating profusely for our now 13-hour flight to SFO, where we were both sitting in middle seats, nowhere near one another. In a surprise to no one (except perhaps IcelandAir), our bags were not there for us when we finally arrived at SEATAC. We filed a claim that evening (at nearly midnight, about 3.5 hours after we were originally supposed to get in) with United (because we could not possibly have filed a claim with IcelandAir) for our missing baggage THAT UNITED HAD OBVIOUSLY NEVER EVEN HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TOUCH. We received my bag 2 days later, but, now about a month later, we still have not received my wife's bag that had over $4,000 of clothes & products (makeup/hair things/etc.) in it. In spite of being the only possible entity that could have had control of our baggage, IcelandAir has completely abdicated any responsibility and told us that it is all on United to get us my wife's bag and to process any type of alternative compensation. TLDR: Never, ever fly IcelandAir.

We flew with Icelandair for our euro trip. We decided to go with them as they had competitive prices, decent connections and we wanted to take advantage of their stopover offer to Iceland. We liked our experience overall, the flights were on time and the crew was friendly. Somethings that can be improved. The space under the seat is too small for even a small size backpack. Under the middle seats there is a black box that takes half the height and the width under the side seats is barely enough for your feet. From Seattle they offered to check in our carryons free of charge which was great as we put our backpacks and jackets on the overhead compartment. On the way back we didn't and it was too cramped for 8 hours. For comparison we used European budget airlines to fly between European countries and Icelandair plains had the smallest carryon limits and physical space. The other thing was that they runout of water half way to Iceland which surprised us, they did offer soft drinks and juice instead but that makes you more thirsty. Lastly most airlines flying to Europe offer complementary food (lunch, breakfast and wine or beer) with Iceland air besides the water and soft drinks all food was for purchase and pricy. They have onboard entertainment you can use your own headphones or you can buy for 5 euros. They also have USB ports to charge your devices.

A few days ago, after everyone had already boarded the plane, we were asked to deboard due to some confusion surrounding a pilot delay. Unfortunately, it would've put us over an hour behind and risked us missing our connecting flight. Stressful to say the least. Thankfully, one of the Delta attendants immediately jumped into action. I wish I had caught her name because she was incredible. She was already helping rearrange flights for passengers and within just a few minutes of speaking with her, she managed to get us on a direct flight to our destination instead! Not only did it save our trip, but it actually gave us extra time to relax and enjoy breakfast at the Delta lounge. A perfect example of the "burnt toast theory", sometimes an inconvenience ends up working out even better in the end. Amazing customer service and such a kind, efficient employee. Thank you, Delta!

You will be pestered with emails suggesting to pay for this and that in advance to make your trip more pleasant or predictable. You MAY be asked to prove that your hand luggage fits in their size bins (there were two next to my gate with stern warnings, so you can try in advance). You CAN pay through the app in the airport if you need to convert your personal item into a carry-on but that will eat some of the savings. The seats do not tilt; because of that the seating area is actually wider and pant size 42 man comfortably fits with no intrusion to the neighboring space. IMHO 44 should fit too. Your flight crew WILL be nice and bottomless tea or coffee will be 4 bucks. The lavatory is, probably, not cleaned between the flights. I was first and the seat was already "sprinkled" and one of two rolls of toilet paper was already down to the bare core. Short delays are very common with Frontier (at least on LAX-SEA they are) but usually they recover most of it through the flight. My flight left 20 minutes late but arrived on-time. If you fly with just the "personal item" AKA small backpack 18x14x8", accept the toilet situation (I am not saying that they never clean, only that on my flight it was not - for sure), and OK with the need to walk / take a free shuttle from the gate to the airplane, you will save 35%. If you have carry on, you will save ~15%, and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you will fly half-price comparing to the major airlines. The caveat is the usual - no changes and no upgrades of anything.

There was a woman and a man who were in the back of the plane where the restrooms are. Before the flight even took off, the woman said to her male coworker that "the higher ups" don't like her and that's why she's in the back. They then continued talking extremely loudly to the extent that I and several people seated near me thought the conversation was coming out of the overhead speakers. Their conversations consisted of a kind of flirty exchange where the woman was sharing her entire dating life, stories about being drunk and even saying that she has 6 months clean. They continued talking extremely loudly despite multiple passengers looking back and questioning how they could be so unaware. The plane was extremely quiet as many people were returning from Las Vegas so extremely tired and trying to nap. After about 45 minutes, I went to the bathroom near them and politely asked if they realized that the whole back half of the plane e could hear their entire conversation. The response was that this is how they keep themselves awake on the job and began laughing and exchanging undermining and outwardly rude glances. I went back to my seat and about 10 minutes later, a man who was two rows from the back of the plane stood up and asked something similar to the following...would you guys mind keeping it down? We have spent the entire time on this flight listening to your discussions about inappropriate subjects and we would appreciate it if you would remain professional and spare us the details of your personal lives. They laughed and did not respond at which point t he said, "no wonder the higher up's don't like you." They continued to converse loudly and snicker about the passengers requests. At one point a different flight attendant approached them and we thought she would be asking them to quiet down but within moments she was laughing and clearly not informing them that they were out of line. At this time, I was filming and attempting to Document the situation. The woman then approached my seat and demanded that I stop recording. She had a red card and said if I did not stop recording she would hand the red card and I would be met by the police upon landing. When I tried to explain the situation, she said that she was unaware of that and when I asked for a supervisor, she stated the there was no supervisor on board and reminded me that it is against privacy rules to Record anyone without their permission. Overall, this was the worst flight I have ever experienced. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was astounding. I will never fly with Frontier again.

Before I made the reservation I somehow did not see the 55 minute connection in Paris but I certainly noticed after I bought the ticket. I called the airline and they said people make th3 connection all the time with no issues. On the return travel day, we departed Marsellie 10 minutes late. Upon landing the pilot of our Air France plane said we arrived only 5 minutes late. After pulling up to the gate, there was no announcement about letting transferring passengers deplane first. By the way, We were assigned seats by the airline in the back of the plane. We had also been told our arriving and departing planes would be relatively close. We landed at 2F and had to get to 2E Gate L53. After getting off the plane we scurried ahead to find Passport control and only 4 agents working a line of 200 people. 2 of the 4 agents were helping priority customers only, like first class. The other 2 were helping the vast majority of us. After 25 minutes we made it through Passport control. We then ran. We ran and ran. We ran on the moving sidewalks and shouted "pardon" in French a hundred times. By the time we got to L53 we discovered the gates were nearly as far apart as possible within the terminal 2. Anyway, our flight was to depart at 1:10 pm. We arrived panting at 1pm. They asked us who we were and entered our names and then wouldn't talk to us for another 5 minutes when I finally blurted out, are we going to be able to get in the flight or not? They said "Sorry to say you have missed your flight". A moment before she said this I saw AFrance escorting a passenger down the gangway, probably a first class passenger, we were just steerage. At 1:20, 20 minutes after we arrived, we were sent away to another desk to try and find a different flight. As we walked away, our plane we should have been on was still sitting there. By the way, I heard Air France tell 6 other customers the same thing, "Sorry YOU have missed your flight" rather than the appropriate "Sorry, WE caused you to miss your connection ". We ended up getting home only 5 hours later than anticipated but we had the worst seats imaginable on our remaining flights, and of course we did not get to sit together!! I don't think I will fly Air France again, ever.

Take our recent quick 2-day trip from LAS to SEA. Roundtrip tickets were barely over $100 per person round trip. Holy crap! Say what you want, but that is a real good price! Bag fees are tricky for me. If I have a short trip I don't need to pack a lot. No matter what you do, you do get a free personal item. That is really calling it too tight for comfort, IMO. So, for this last trip I did an upgrade on their website for $35 per way, per person ($140.00 total). My extra $140 got us assigned seating to sit next to my partner for both flights near the front of the plane for both legs. It also got both of us a free carry-on item each, both ways in addition to our personal item. More than enough for a 2-day trip! Considering the fact that, if you checked in a bag at the airport day of, it could cost you $65 per bag, per leg that feels like a great deal! I mean, even with the extra money my total ticket price is still under $200 each round trip. I can totally live with that! The airline is known for offering flights to the most destinations around the world. I flew on Turkish a few years ago from Seattle to Thessaloniki via Istanbul during spring break. For the most part, it was a good experience. The pluses are mostly with the in-flight experience. They use Dreamliner planes and serve tasty meals on all flights, including my short haul flights to and from Greece. The IFE system has extensive entertainment and they give all passengers an amenity bag on long haul flights. Lastly, the baggage allowance is generous as you can check in 2 bags. I do also want to bring up some items to consider booking on Turkish. My flight to Istanbul was nearly a hour late, but I still made my connection. Try not to book flights with short layovers. Also some of the connections have long layovers to destinations in the Middle East and Central Asia with flights arriving at odd hours. You may want to consider doing a stopover in Istanbul instead, which Turkish has a good program for. Lastly, gate security in Istanbul is extensive. So expect a thorough check of your carryon items before your flight. Overall, I enjoyed flying on Turkish. It is a well run airline with good fares to Europe and a great in-flight experience. However, you should consider travel time, especially layovers and the amount of backtracking needed to get to your destination when deciding whether to book.
