This place scams people. They take your credit card information and will charge you random fees without permission. Brandon who is the box office manager is a rude son of a b**tch. When you call to inquire what the charges are about, he starts screaming at you and provides no compassion or sympathy about your concern for calling. They make your child sign stuff without consulting with a parent and then end up charging your credit card and tells you the child knows what they signed. This is illegal!!! Everyone knows a parent has to be present when I child is questioned or is asked to sign anything. Then when I brought this up to his attention, Brandon tells me too bad. Icetown is a great place to learn how to ice skate. I have been here several times growing up and just recently. The pricing is pretty reasonable and it's pretty sweet that there is a student, military, and kids discount. Always remember to check the public times before you go because it gets closed to the public time to time and you can't skate! There's a nice selection of food and snacks to munch on but it is definitely overpriced for what it is! read more

My daughter and I love going here. It doesn't get too crowded, and it's perfect for first timers and pros alike. We took my 5 year old nephew ice skating for the first time this past week and he absolutely loved it! There's two rinks so one was being used for hockey and the other was public skate where we were. Even though there were a few groups there, he didn't feel overwhelmed and it gave him more courage to skate. Great atmosphere and brought back old memories from when I was little. Cool place, literally... It was a hot summer day so I was wearing a thin short sleeve shirt, showing off "the guns" of course, but I was freezing on the ice. It probably didn't help that I was falling down a lot and my skin was actually touching the ice, but luckily I was falling down with so much style it didn't even look bad at all. Overall it was a fun experience, I look forward to returning and wearing appropriate ice skating clothes, maybe a long sleeve or sweater, just for enough warmth so when I fall again, my nipples won't be rock hard ice cold and leaving 3 divots in the ice each time I eat it face first. My experience there I was hit in the head with a hockey puck there at my granddaughter's birthday party inside a party room , and I just want to say management from what I understand is when everyone tried to get the management attention urgently they were out smoking came in nonchalant like it wasn't a big deal . I called for my family if they have ice rail supporters for kids and beginners. Yes they do they said. After the crap weather ride over and finally arriving, they don't even have big lockers to store the bag full of clothes to change in. The long line and only one register?! Then the kicker after spending about $62 for everything to get one lousy hour on the ice, what do I see? I see no metal hand rails anywhere? Instead a bunch of 5 gallon buckets stacked and not enough for everyone. That was it! I wanted my refund. But nooo, they cant issue it after baiting and switching me. I'm from Sacramento but being that it's the holiday season, my fam and I wanted to go ice skating. This place was awesome. There were two huge rinks in the same building, one was for public sessions and the other was for lessons, I believe. A group of 4 people plus skate rentals came out to $56, not too bad. I have extremely wide feet and usually cannot last long in skates at all (15 min. before I'm in pain), so the staff recommended lace-ups which are wider than the buckle ones. My daughter has been skating here since she was 7 years old (shes's now 15). They have two beautiful sheets of ice, public skating, figure skating, hockey classes, adult hockey, adult learn to skate classes, birthday parties, a good snack bar and a small pro shop. The rink used to be super busy but now it is pretty empty. They are open for public skating and classes now so it's a great time to take advantage of the empty ice. The rink is right next to the police station. We like to cool off here during the hot summer months. read more

What a nice place. Automatic doors!!! I haven't seen this since the Hockey Silo closed down!! This is awesome for the hockey players that have full of their equipment and have a hard time opening doors at the same time. Anyway, Came here during a public session and the ice was in ok shape. They actually have employees skating around keeping an eye on the little ones and the beginners which is a great idea. My only gripe is that is was rather expensive. I have my own skates and my friend didn't, 21 dollars later, we're all good. that's expensive. It should of only been 15. I used to come here in high school quite a bit. It was less crowded then. I just came back recently, and it seems to be filled with the young teenage crowd with a large group of Alpha Chi Omegas. It was hard to ice skate because there was so many people, and this was a Wednesday night, too! Ridiculous. Also, the open skate was after a hockey practice, and they didn't bother to zimbonee the ice before they let us on. As a result, the ice was incredibly rocky, and I saw a lot of people eat it because of the dents. It was $13 to ice skate ($10 +$3 for rentals). The rentals were terrible! I usually wear a 7-7.5 shoe, and I had to get a size 6 in the ice skate. They run incredibly big and are pretty narrow. The rentals are made out of cheap, blue plastic and are incredibly difficult to clasp shut. My feet were already in pain before stepping out onto the ice. The restrooms are pretty nasty. I didn't want to touch anything or lay anything down. Consequentially, I put my iPhone underneath my arm to free up my hands so that I could wash them. Then, my phone decided to slip out and land in the sink with the water running. *Shake my head*. At least they had plenty of paper towels, but it came out of a motion detected dispenser that didn't work properly. I love ice skating, but I'm sure there are way better places to go than here. read more

Two rinks, NHL & Olympic. Concession stand is enough. Pro-shop is operated by Hockey Monkey, so more than adequate gear wise. Locker rooms are a bit on the small size. The padding on the stairwells to the upper locker rooms have exposed metal edges to nick up the blades of the inattentive player. Restrooms (mens') one stall, so you may have to wait. Metal stands, so bring a blanket to sit on unless you, literally, want to freeze your ass off. It may have just been the day, with low temps outside contributing, but it is a very cold rink. Not a meat locker, line rink B at KHS, but cold enough that I brought a beanie and thicker coat to the afternoon game of a tournament. I only beanie up at KHS so as to give an you an idea. read more

The service was horrid. I asked for pizza and waited 30 minutes only to get a frozen burrito. The lady made us clean up someone else's mess. She then made us Zamboni the regular floor. We're 7. I play hockey here, and have for a number of years. It's not a bad place to play hockey, although you'll find a number of issues. For one, and perhaps my biggest complaint as a player, is that Rink B's ice is by far one of the worst I've played on. It's chewed up from public skate and figure skaters, and there's countless rivets all over it. The puck never stays flat, and a lot of players end up falling down if they're not careful. I don't know many players who like playing on the second rink. Second, the scheduling. They've changed our division's schedule several times (and have in the past), which has lead to more than a few headaches. Why not stick with one solid schedule? It is beyond me. Most of the staff I've encountered are pretty nice, and the pro shop is handy. If you're a goalie like me though, and you need more than a stick, you're out of luck. They carry next to no goalie equipment. You have to drive out to Anaheim for that. Competition is also pretty good, and there's a number of teams in each division. read more

I have been to a lot of ice rinks in my life, therefore I think of myself as an expert. We had a great time, my son enjoyed it so much that he begged me to sign him up to the ice hockey league. Fast forward 6 months, and multiple visits later; the facility is always clean, the ice is always perfect, the employees are always helpful and eager to answer your questions. Thank you guys for being awesome and always accommodating us, we just booked my son's birthday party here and we can't wait. Great place to skate. Coaches are super friendly and helpful. I drove out with a friend on the way to the desert and tried some ice time.

Get the Groupon deal, if you can...but only for the day skate pass, NOT the monthly skate lessons! We purchased both options on Groupon, because my kids really wanted to learn how to skate. For $27 you only get four weekly 30 minute sessions. It's hardly enough time for the kids to even get their feet wet. And the classes had to be taken consecutively so if you missed a class you had to get special permission from their director to do a make-up (for Groupon deals). She was seriously injured and had a bad sprain, and I did not appreciate the fact that there was a guy who was laughing at her and didn't get the hint that I wanted him gone even when I was glaring at him directly. read more

I love this rink and just visited their new location in San Diego. The remodel here is awesome and thanks to the wildcats program moving to riverside I am here more often. This place is kept so clean its impressive even during the busy season like right now. The staff is super friendly, especially Matt the GM and Johnny the floor manager. I feel safe being here especially with the location to the police station. I also came for a kids birthday party a couple weeks ago and it really was outstanding from start to finish. read more

Nice and roomy, has two separate rinks. Once usually used for hockey, the other for figure skating/public time. Fairly clean, could be better, buts its not too shabby. I would definitely recommend trying out the intro classes they offer. Its about 30 minutes and they set aside about 1/4 of the rink for it. So you don't have to worry about getting run over by others if its your first time. I took the intro class to be placed into skating lessons. So its a good pre-test/gauge of what level you're in if you're like me and you've skated before and trying to get back into it. Definitely more of a kiddy crowd tho, but its all good. People seemed to just leave their stuff out. Not sure if they have cameras or if there's issues with theft there (I did go on a weekday though so it might've been a "regular" crowd), but people were pretty okay with just having their stuff out. read more

I saw an ad for $99/mo adult hockey lessons. I emailed to see if there were any other costs and was told no. Turns out though that there were. Also, be advised that you will be required to put a CC on file, join an association that costs $53 and unless you put in notice when you sign up to quit that month, (because of their cancellation policy) you will have a min of 2 months to pay. And buy a helmet, if you don't have one. Although they say you can find one for $20 on clearance somewhere (or borrow one). So figure $300, really. I also agree with other reviews stating the staff are rude. At least the ones at the counter. The hockey coaches were really nice though. read more

Great place for youth and adult hockey. Coach Mike and his team do a great job running the youth in house league. My son started from the beginning with try hockey for free and moved up through all the classes into the in house hockey program. Every class he went through was organized and helped him develop his hockey abilities. He started off hating ice skating but with the encouragement of the coaches he loves going every week. The adult hockey program is great too. There are skill levels for everyone from rookie to expert. The one thing i don't like are the Refs, but when do they ever make the right call when its against you, LOL. read more

I'm rating this low for two reasons they turn the lights down and they turn the heater off 10 minutes before our time was up. I thought that was really rude when we pay for an hour for a party room and they had the audacity to turn the lights down and the heater off while we were eating our cake. The good- short line for public skate. My daughter came for a week of camp one summer and enjoyed It. Change machine for lockers has been broken for 1 1/2 years. Bring quarters if you want to rent a locker. You can get change at the snack bar but the line is long so you waste your skating time. We had fun but 2 hours was enough. read more

Really great service. I came to this location with a big group (60+) for a school event and they were able to work with me and set everything up. The staff were very helpful in arranging everything and all I needed to do was pay. There are two ice rinks that are used. The free skate on the weekends are from 8:30-11 pm. Every hour they clean the ice using the Zamboni, or whatever that machine is called. Definitely plan on going back for group events in the future. read more

It's really cold in here... the perfect thing for a scorching hot day... They have two hockey rinks inside, which are converted to ice skating when no hockey is scheduled. If you have your own skates, definately bring them. They do have rental skates but they are very cheap and I have blisters on my feet from them. It's $12 with skate rental, but the session was 4.5 hours so you have plenty of time to be worn down or injured before you have to leave. There was plenty of room to skate fast if you know how to skate and they leave center ice open for people to do tricks if they are that good... They resurface the ice often here but you don't have to wait for them to finish. While they are resurfacing one rink you can go skate on the other one. It is best to call ahead to see when they have open ice times because there are also hockey times that get priority over open sessions. Still not sure what I was doing in Riverside (?).... oh yeah, my friend lives there =) read more

Worst experience ever. We came with a large group of girl scouts, and they were only allowed to skate for one hour. The girls used their cookie money, and we're treated terrible. Management said you can come back again and they will give 10 percent off. Are you kidding, we Will NEVER come back again. Paid for three hours and only got one. Please don't ever waste your money as it is a poor excuse for a hockey rink. Lastly, management screwed the kids, unacceptable. When told we would write a poor review, management said we don't care.
