I texted Vickie, the owner, and received a quick response. My order was taken and delivery was scheduled. In the meantime, I was drooling over the pictures online but they just don't do this pie justice. When it was promptly delivered, I was given instructions to microwave it by the slice for just 10 seconds. This is just enough to melt the chocolate and caramel into a rich gooey deliciousness. Holy moley this was some good stuff! I am now a big fan.

I was their only customer, and it was lunch time. I probably should have left but took a chance. The lady working was very nice, and made my food quickly. I got what I ordered, but the turkey was literally deli meat and not the quality kind. The wrap was bland, cold, and the whole thing looked pretty sad. The special on the sign said TNT special, which is a turkey wrap. I was quoted 12.95 even though the menu said 9.95. I took the chance, ordered it with a bag of chips and an unsweetened tea. I tipped as well. I was hoping to see what were in the photos posted, which was a warm friendly place with good food. Unfortunately that wasn't my experience. I could excuse the atmosphere if my food was great, but my meal wasn't worth but maybe $5, and certainly not the $12.95 I paid. That being said, the lady who took my order and made my food was very friendly.

We ordered the Toffee Crush specialty latte as well as the Dubai Chocolate latte and both were really good. They also have merch, coffee beans, and local honey for sale. I didn't try the baked goods this time, but they had breakfast items available and everything looked great. Such a wonderful stop for coffee, especially if you're already walking or sightseeing along the river. I'd absolutely come back.

Well, up front......that was stupid and short sighted of me. Today was my first time visiting Palatka Coffee and I'm impressed. I will not repeat my oversights of the past!!!! Fast friendly service. Small unpretentious store front offering really good coffee and tea options with a selection of really tasty made to order as well as grab-n-go breakfast sandwiches along with some baked goods. I think I've found my Palatka Coffee shop...... Give it a try.... I'll be back.

You don't see this because the fish is now a filet. The meat has a firm yet flaky texture that is mild, slightly sweet with a clean taste. Think of it like a cross between snapper and mahi mahi. It comes lightly blackened but you can request different when ordering. The garnish is a topper of spiraled fried carrot and a tablespoon of avocado salsa. It has the flavors of guacamole but more of a texture similar to a chunky salsa. I could have used a little (lot) more. It's yummy and a good foil for the blackening spices. The rice is served dry. If you don't care for bare rice, ask for a gravy or a different sauce when ordering. All in all, an excellent dish! So, when you come here, do look for UNICORNS! They are delicious! -

The first time, my husband had the smash burger and fries and my son had the same thing but the children's portion. Both raved about their meal. I had the mushroom steak burger bowl, it was delicious sitting atop white rice with brown gravy and green beans. The next time, both husband and son ordered the same thing and I switched it up to try the meatloaf stacker, wow! Once again, the meal was delicious and paired it with the corn casserole. I can't rave about this place enough. We ended the meal with homemade strawberry cake, another winner!! The service is wonderful, everyone is attentive and wants to make sure you're taken care of. Waters refilled, which is a rarity these days and food was served prompt. Although small, Birdies is mighty with flavor, service and cute decor! Unfortunately the wedding cake was so disappointing it was pre-sliced and wrapped in the case, it was very cold and heavy, the filling was very thin but made the layers soggy like it had been made a few days earlier and sat and it had very little icing - this was so disappointing especially after going out of our way to get here and fighting the St. Augustine traffic. My husband and I have never ever had to fight for money back for a meal that could't be eaten. They were rude, non-compasionate, argumentive.
