This is the most undiscovered, most super-dope BBQ in the Bay Area. Every week, I get an email about what Quinn from I Bring Da Smoke is cooking that weekend. I've ordered from ibringdasmoke 4 out of 5 times already in the last few months, and every time it's been great & today is no exception. 2 Dozens of the Smoked Wings, one with Alabama White Sauce and the other with Smoked Pear Bourbon Habanero Sauce!!! Both sauce were great and very tasty. I usually don't like smoked wings because everyone I have had they were dried, but not this one it was perfect!!! I moved to the area about two years ago and originally found this spot through Yelp. I finally signed up for the mailing list a few weeks ago and got my first email offering brisket. I ordered one pound and it came with their homemade BBQ sauce. The brisket was really good and the sauce was honestly amazing. It had a nice kick without overpowering the meat. The second week was ribs, which I skipped because I wasn't really in a BBQ mood at the time, but now I kind of regret it. This week was pulled pork sandwiches and smoked poblano bacon mac and cheese, so I decided to order again. I'm not usually a pulled pork person, but I do love a good sandwich. This was probably the best pulled pork sandwich I've had. I loved that the pork had a lot of crispy edges, almost like brisket. The pickled slaw inside the sandwich worked really well and the side of pickled red onions took it to another level. The mac and cheese was just okay for me. It sounded great on paper, but the flavor was a bit bland. Even with the smoked bacon, I was hoping for more salt and a stronger cheese flavor. A sharper cheese would have really helped. I did like the bacon and poblanos, I just wanted more of that cheesy mouthfeel. Overall, the food has been delicious and I'll definitely be ordering again. Delicious. Ordering and pickup was easy and straightforward. Got the burnt ends pork belly and jalapeño poppers. Both had a great smoked taste and were the best of their kind i've had. The poppers were cooked perfectly and had a slight bite and mostly yielded. Burnt ends were crispy outside and soft and moist inside. Tried the brisket another time and got unlucky and received all cuts from the nonfatty end. Pretty dry as expected unfortunately. But the pear habanero sauce was bomb. read more

Ibringdasmoke has done it again: Smoked Bacon Wrapped Cheese stuffed Jalapeño Poppers. I have eaten just about ever version of somebody's idea of a Popper, including previous offerings from Quinn. This time has done it. He has achieved the sublime, capturing the umami essence of plenty smoke with the sweet taste of prime bacon and melded cheese and perfect Jalapeño into a distinct and wonderful lunch. Today a dozen made for a sublime Sunday brunch. All that I needed for a comfortable food coma with dividing gustatory rumination. Perfection. Over used many times. One of the best decisions I ever made was to sign up for the alerts for ibringdasmoke! I had forgotten about it until I got an email alert at 4:30 PM on Monday and I placed my order for the smoked brisket as that was all that was on offer this round. I was up late going through emails and placed and paid for my order on line at 11:00 PM the day after I got the alert and the next morning got the message that they had sold out! And now I know why! I was given a 30 min time slot to pick up my order (keeps things manageable) and believe me, I was right there at the start (OK 3 minutes early; don't judge) and from the smell I knew I was at the right house! We ordered the pound and it came with their signature smoky pear bourbon habanero sauce. I am a spice wimp, and would call this mild BUT also SO GOOD; I would eat it with a spoon. The meat was tender, succulent with some nice ribbons of fat that were just right; like a layer cake. The FLAVOR was phenomenal. Look, this just makes me danged proud to be a San Leandran. I'm a little reluctant to post this review as I would rather keep this our little secret. At $30/lb., this was not standard weekday fare. It's a treat. Then you simply go online and place your order. I ordered the Trinity. It came with 3 meats and 2 sides. I got the ribs, pulled pork and brisket, with a double side of smoked poblano bacon mac. I also ordered a side of jalapeño poppers. Everything was absolutely delicious! And i mean everything. Plus, the portions were large. Enough to feed 2 people. I will absolutely order again!! Now, although everything was spot on, the stand out item to me was the sauce. The meat does not come sauced, and It tastes perfectly amazing on it's own. However it comes with a little container of sauce, that I wasn't going to try because the meat didn't need it, but ended up trying it just because. It was sweet and spicy. ibringdasmoke is the real deal if you want true barbecue with all the smoke and flavor that slow-roasted with lots of real smoke promises, but is so rarely achieved with consistency. This was our first foray following our completed vaccinations out from the house after a year. What a blessing this has become. My wife and I had the three-way meat, with two sides, smoked bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos with cheese, banana pudding, and Shortbread Pistachio cookies. The meat came with two sides, Poblano Bacon Mac and Cheese and esquites, with a unique barbecue sauce and pickled onions. Neither of us could pick one over the other and we agree this is just outstanding barbecue. Brisket. Crusty, delicate, roasted in its own juices. Crust melted with a huge flavor rush. Cut it with a spoon if you wanted to do so. Perfect amount of fat to make it dissolve to deliciousness with each bite. Slices were thick and just right. This is a memorable brisket. Not rushed. Quality in every respect. If you do nothing else, this to me is the go-to item for understanding all the goodness that Quinn brings to his passion. Pulled Pork. Generous portion. Smoky delicious. Would make a great sandwich if you wanted to do so. Great texture. Not torn to shreds. Wonderful. My wife thought this was the best. I thought it was terrific as well. Ribs. Very meaty. Great smoke lines. Tender. Outstanding flavor. I expected this to be number one, but I had the Pulled Pork First, followed by the Brisket, and then the Ribs. I would rate them if there is any point in doing so in that order. When considered within the Three-Meats this was merely Fantastic. With the supplied sauce, this went over the top for me. I can honestly say that any of the three are to be eaten with gusto and zeal. Pickled Onions. I want to be able to get a quart of these the next time. So good. I want to have a bite of onions with each bite of meat. The flavor and texture were seamless and riveting and made my whole mouth in major wowee. Barbecue Sauce. And clearly, Quinn has put a lot of time and thought into this. Understated excellence, just what a sauce should be I n 2021. Smoky Poblano-bacon macaroni and cheese. What a side dish! Completely unexpected. Such a pleasure to find that the side is as good as the meat. Loved it. I want to be able to get a larger portion the next time. Esquites. Corn and Cheese Mexico City-style I guess. I loved the texture and the taste. I thought it added to the variety of tastes in the barbecue and enhanced everything. Smoked bacon-wrapped cheese-stuffed jalapenos. Quinn calls these poppers. OK by me. He can call them anything he wants. If the idea of plump smoked slow-cooked barbecued jalapenos causes you to have your taste buds doing 10's before the judges then you got it. That is what these are. I do not care if you call them poppers or anything else. They are fabulous. Do not miss these. Bourbon-infused banana pudding. I just had to have this and was surprised. So good and so surprising. Not expected to be as good as it was. Perfect along with the cookies. Shortbread pistachio swirls cookies. The pudding in a bowl with the cookies is the perfect topper to an outstanding meal. We were having some family over and really didn't want to cook, so we ordered The Big Trinity (ribs, brisket and pulled pork, I keep accidentally calling it The Holy Trinity which would work as well) along with some sides - kale, mac and cheese, and bacon-wrapped poppers. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and even though it was a ton of food, we went through it quickly because no one could stop eating! A couple of weeks ago I tried ibringdasmoke for the first time. I had bbq ribs, brisket, pablano mac&cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was so tender you could pull it apart with your fingers and the meat on the ribs came right off the bone. The mac&cheese was creamily delicious and the coleslaw was super delicious too. I want to point out that while I am pleased with ibringdasmoke, I have no relationship with the business except as a customer who knows great barbecue and this is it. Oh my. Burnt Ends! Right Amount of Sauce. What a surprise, and oh so wonderful. I did not share them with my wife. She is completely invested in the pulled port and happy as if she had good sense. Moist, properly shredded. Lots of flavors. Oh, so good. Your brisket is perfect. I cannot describe it beyond it has no faults. So tender. Cut it with a plastic spoon. Smoke line intact and flavor through and through. It just gets better. Your Poppers were exceptionally good before and this time they are out of this world. Aroma, Flavor, Fragrance, Heat, Savory, and Tender. I was satisfied the last time and now it is up another notch. Two different pickled onions. One is nice and typical. You have offered it before. The other one is new to me, a pleasant surprise. Piquant. Sharp, Sour, Acidic, Long Finish. Everything a pickle ought to be. Your Ribs are perfect. They were great last time, and this time is better. Your consistency is remarkable. Do not lose it. You are special. Your Poblano Bacon Mac and Cheese is mellow, full-flavored, and adds to the richness of the food. No complaints from me. Yes they bring the smoke!! JOIN THEIR EMAIL LIST! My first bite of brisket was yumyumyummy smokey. The smokey flavor on bbq is my favorite. It makes me so happy. Is that weird?.. It's a tier of flavor you can't often find around here. I ordered .5lb brisket and .5lb of pulled pork, plus 16oz of the mac and cheese to share with my spouse. My eyes were much bigger than my stomach cause I thought no way will this be enough, especially cause it was just so good. We ate and ate and got so freaking full. Couldn't even finish the plate. We enjoyed our meal and we're excited to try more from Quin and enjoy that smokey flavor again. There was nothing dry about these meats, the flavor was perfection and the mac and cheese has the balance of flavors I always dreamed of finding somewhere.
