Their ribs are super good! Brisket is nice too but a bit too salty for me. They were able to accommodate for an early pickup for a party tray! And super friendly! All the guests loved the ribs! Definitely worth it! read more

So owner Chris reached out & apologized for the bad cuts. He said let him know when I was coming again and he would do the meal over. I let him know I was coming and he brought fresh brisket out (not the whole meal as offered) however its the gesture and explanation that counts. It was grand opening weekend when I went and employees were not up to speed on serving...etc I ordered more chicken BBQ lumpia anyway because it is FIYAAAA! They have a return customer in me but it will be for the BBQ chicken Lumpia...go check them out! read more

We ordered ribs, chicken & pulled pork for a family party. There was a little confusion at first but Chris amended it & we didn't even have to ask. Adam delivered our order. He was efficient & incredibly nice & friendly. My brothers are big barbecue fans & take great pride in their abilities to barbecue. They LOVED it. We will be recommending Sacred Pig to everyone. Also, thank you for the extra tray of chicken. read more

Okay, I rarely do updates to my reviews (so quickly) but Sacred Pig Barbecue deserves 5 stars for those ribs! Super delicious and tender with the right amount of seasoning. Their barbecue sauce is a great complement to their St Louis-style ribs. This was my 2nd visit and ordered a slab of ribs in addition to trying the pork belly. O...M..G...it was like meat candy! Sweet, tangy, smoky, melt-in-your mouth with a layer of fat and skin. Note: the skin isn't crispy but you get the chewy and tender with this flavorful item. I don't eat a lot of white rice but if I had a container, I would've sat in the parking lot and ate away! Located at the very back of Bay Hill Food Liquors so grab some barbecue and a slushy, beverage on your way out. Sister and I are repeat customers and will eventually try their chicken! Delicious with friendly service...support this small business! read more

Literally just burning gas looking for a place to eat, before I noticed this East Bay eats sign. I go in and sift through the menus of DIFFERENT kitchens. Yes different kitchens. I come upon Sacred Pig, a BBQ spot. Low and behold the food was good. I ordered a 3 meat combo, chicken, ribs, and pork belly. Sides were mac&cheese, and potatoe salad. The ribs were in my opinion cooked perfectly. The pork belly delicious. The potato salad was a hit. An what can I say about that yard bird, off the grill so yum yum. Definitely made it into my top 5 BBQ spots. Now I have to buy an energy drink because I'm losing this 1v2 against Itis, and Sandman. read more

I cannot express enough how happy we were with the food and service provided by Chris and his staff. Chris catered our 200 employee xmas lunch and no one left hungry or dissatisfied. Besides the delicious food and on point service, Chris is very easy to deal with and detail oriented. I honestly didn't have to worry as he took care of everything. The weather was crazy but they were still on time with our fresh BBQ. They have a great system and I couldn't be more grateful . Thank you for making our event a success. read more

Sacred Pig Barbecue - Ribs, chicken and Mac and cheese - Caterers Near Me - Hayward, California

I threw a surprise party for my husband on Memorial Day! I was concerned about finding a place that could help me on the holiday but Chris was totally in for it. He was beyond helpful and super communicative. All that is great but the biggest advantage was the food!!! The guests raved about the food. My only regret is not getting more ribs. Chris was so kind that when I called stressed about not ordering enough he assured me I had plenty and talked me out of ordering more. Alex who came out to set up was also amazing. He took the directions from my friend who was tasked with the set up in the small window we had while hubby was away. The food made the party. Will definitely be ordering again. Nothing but brace reviews from me!! read more

Online order for pickup at 6 pm . I'm pretty sure I didn't take pictures b/c my phone died & I always take pictures . A bit disappointing b/c the sausages looked like they were sitting under heat lamp & looked like shriveled weinies ! Everything was cold the beans the brisket & ribs . One rib was literally the one & only hot one & the rest were ice cold . I think that if everything was hot possibly it would have tasted better. P/U was at 6 wasn't ready till after 6 pm,should've been hot but it was cold. Disappointing for $70 worth of food . A friend recommended this place I'm sure maybe it was an off day but we may try it again ! This is a venue of different varieties of foods & it is a ghost kitchen setup. I love the use of the ghost kitchen set ups but either they need to get an area where it has more places to sit or set up tables in the outside area . The outside needs to get cleaned up definitely NOTa very inviting area. It needs some upkeep & not the best area b/c you have homeless ( some are minding their own business & then you have the vocal ones who are a bit scary) running around in the general area. We will try it again but probably just the ribs . Mom's Homemade Bread is our favorite!!! Love read more

* Ribs 5/5 * Chicken 5/5 * Hot Links 4/5 * Pork 4/5 The pork and hot links are good - they are worth trying out. The ribs are perfect tbh. They aren't over spiced and are super tender. I was really surprised by the chicken, especially. They have an amazing flavor and so moist (I thought they would be dry but they are definitely not). I would recommend trying everything - I have yet to be disappointed. The sides are okay but idc too much when the meats are that good. Make sure to pick up their sauce. that stuff is gas. Sometimes I've had to wait for the meat to finish cooking and be prepped so call ahead if you are just trying to stop by. read more

The St. Louis ribs are incredibly moist and tender with a nice bark, plenty of dry rub, not drowning in barbecue sauce. Just how I like it. The most difficult thing to find are ribs that are that moist with good bark, even some of the best barbecue joints in SF have a tough time finding that balance. That's the beauty of Sacred Pig. The menu also includes habanero chicken, salt pepper garlic drumsticks, pulled pork, hot links, mom's potato salad, slaw, and beans. My favorite are the ribs and potato salad (mom sure knows how to make potato salad). Get there on time or the food will sell out! read more

Great catering experience with Chris. I reached on short notice to place an order for Easter Sunday and he was incredibly accommodating. Communication and delivery went seamlessly and the food was delicious! We had a part of 15-20 people and there was plenty of food for all to have their fill. I will definitely work with Chris for future events. read more

LISTEN!!! I went out on a limb here from word of mouth from a friend of a friend. I was NOT left hanging! I didn't just buy a plate, I had my first gathering in my new home catered by Sacred Pig. First my husband who is not a fan of BBQ ate 5 ribs in his first sitting. My mother who is a cook from a family of cooks was triggered by the baked beans because my grandmother used to actually bake beans like this, not a can of doctored porkN beans like Californians do. I can't tell it all here, but that was Saturday and I just ate the last of the chicken thighs I hid in my refrigerator THANK YOU!!! read more

I'd gotten a couple of things when they were in the market location, and tried a couple of times unsuccessfully since they weren't open. I don't remember what I got the first time, but the second time was last year in June. I remember because I took leftovers to have for lunch on my roadtrip. That was pork belly. I seem to recall it being in larger pieces than now, and it seemed chewier. I don't remember the sauce. I braved having pork belly again last night for the first SC order at this new location, and it was yummy! Soft, smaller pieces, and with plenty of sauce (from the description I wasn't sure if it would have that). I'd intended to save half for the next day, but it was so good that I couldn't stop, even though I wasn't that hungry to begin with. I selected slaw for my side, as something to contrast with the meat. It was fresh and light. I'm looking forward to when they get wings going (though I thought I saw something early-on that didn't have habanero). And thank you for minimizing plastic! read more

On April 15th the Sacred pig bbq catered my wedding and the whole experience was one of the best experiences we ever had. Customer service was on point, food on point, the whole general feel of everything was great. We had set up this catering event about 1 year in advance once we locked the venue once we had the menu in place which was for 300 people we had smoked chicken, tri tip, and hot links, and sides maaaaaaannnn the food was bomb but those links! Straight fire that shit shhhhammmmckin! So much flavor in the sauce they used. Not one guest had one thing negative to say about the food, everyone loved it. I can't say thank you enough to your staff and hope to see y'all in Hayward soon enough. read more

Tried this place on Sunday,I had the hot link hoagie with there special BBQ sauce.I ordered through the East Bay eats kiosk which was fast and efficient but was terribly disappointed when I received my order. The hoagie bread was so small and flimsy and came apart when I tried to pick it up.The BBQ sauce tasted off old and stale, the links were average. It cost me $16.99 plus tax for this nasty sandwich.I really had high hopes for this place from the reviews I had read.I won't be back, overpriced and overrated read more

Sacred Pig is the best bbq I've had in the Bay! Coming from a bbq family I couldn't recommend this enough!

Ran to Yelp to write a review because Sacred Pig - where have you been all my life?! Ordered the family platter - ribs, chicken, pork belly and brisket. Cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans and rice. Meats smoked to perfection, sauces tangy and sweet with just the right level of spice. Potato salad was layered in flavor, coleslaw fresh and light. Will be telling all of my friends about this. New go-to for BBQ in the East Bay! read more

We had Sacred Pig cater our baby shower. Ordering was super easy and the food was delivered hot and on time. Everything was so good and our guests loved it! I would highly recommend using Sacred Pig for your event! read more

This place has amazing ribs. Moist, super meaty, and fall off the bone good. Their potato salad is also very good. My husband went in late on a Saturday and they were sold out. On Sunday he went by and thought they weren't there, but I called the number and Chris said they were inside the store today. He let us order some ribs on the phone so we didn't miss out the second day. Can't say enough...absolutely delicious and excellent customer service. Vic was greeted by April, who was very sweet also. Will definitely be our rib go-to place. Look forward to them opening their restaurant at Bay Hills. read more

Sacred Pig Barbecue - Food being prepared! - Caterers Near Me - Hayward, California

We ordered from Sacred Pig for a resident event in our community. Our residents are raving about the food, especially their chicken and mac & cheese. They're asking where we got the food from. We'll definitely have them back. Service and food is exceptional. Kudos to Chris and his team! They didn't disappoint. Highly recommended! read more

I tried this place yesterday. I ordered the ribs and was not impressed, I received 4 small well done bones with a cup of coleslaw for $28 I think I'll stick with Canyon BBQ in Castro Valley. Much better ribs, sauce and 2 side with bread for $21. I did like the concept of many types of food in one place. It appears to be a distribution system and the food is brought in from neighboring restaurants. I may try some of the other restaurant options in the future but you're probably better off going directly to the restaurant that's delivering to them. read more

I just had the most delicious barbecue ribs from the Sacred Pig in Hayward. The meat was smoked to perfection and was so tender that it fell off the bone. 10 out of 10 delicious bbq. The quality of the food is unmatched and service is exceptional. Whether you're craving some good tri-tip, mac n cheese or chicken everything we had was delicious. They are now doing delivery on east bay east. Can't wait to get their food through delivery. read more

Just left this spot. The food was amazing. The staff was cool as heck. Definitely recommend this spot if you want some good BBQ. Make sure you get the chicken and potato salad. Can't wait til they start doing delivery read more

The food (or at least the chicken) was good. I wasn't able to try the ribs as they were out. It is best to order ahead of time in order to get what you want. Also: their prices on their website aren't correct; it lists a whole chicken with 2 sides costing $26. Yet I was told by Chris that the pricing was incorrect and that sides were extra. We used some of the barbecue sauce in the beans as they were a little dry. Potato salad was pretty good. They were out of the mac & cheese, so pay attention to the bit about ordering ahead of time. read more

The bomb hot links brisket ribs lip smackin an the bbq sauce Aaaaa++++++ must try friendly an nice owners

First let me say I have competed in KCBS BBQ competitions and I'm also a KCBS judge, This BBQ operation works out of a convenience food market in Hayward. When I arrived I saw a very large Lang BBQ pit outside the store with a thin blue type smoke coming out of the smoke stack. That told me this pitmaster knew how operate his BBQ pit. I bought two , 2 meat combo plates ( ribs and chicken) with bbq beans and potato salad, and One Rib plate with the same two sides. BBQ should be about two things, Meat and Smoke, the meat should be moist and tender with just enough smoke to flavor and not overpower the taste of the meat. The ribs at this place are some of the best tasting ribs I've tasted, and could compete successfully with the professional teams on the KCBS circuit. My wife enjoyed the ribs better than mine. We will surely return E.Hill read more

Excellent barbecue. I am please with the variety, quality and quantity of each serving and do believe that it is well worth the price. It has worked very well for me to call ahead and place my order, with a pickup time. Never disappointed and highly recommend to friends, family, and neighbors. Lastly, I am very happy to see that Sacred Pig can also accommodate large catering orders. read more

This place serves AMAZING bbq!! We had a company event for 160 people . The beef brisket & pork belly were so tender , moist and flavorful. Chicken thighs were smokey. Mac & cheese and Mom's potato salad all homemade . Chris and his team arrived early in the morning with their smoker - can't get any fresher bbq than that !! Chris & his team are passionate about serving high quality , tasty food. Thumbs up for large parties or just stopping by with friends for some authentic bbq. read more

I meet Chris a couple months ago for my birthday party. I was told how good his food was yet, I was a little skeptical. I thought he would be a ' traditional bbq cooker". Well , Chris surprised all of us. Especially, with his Carnitas. I have great Mexican cooks in my family but Chris's carnitas were the best we tasted. There was not one complaint at the party. Chris's chicken was amazing as well. His food presentation was also outstanding . I was impressed & so we're my guest. He had everything we needed & then some. His food was amazingly delicious & he has such a great professional personality. I had him over once after that party & have him booked again in April for another one . I have faith in his upcoming adventure in his business & will always use him for future parties. Good luck !!! Sophia read more

Man, where do I start! Sacred pig just catered my cousins wedding and it was FIRE The Ribs, the habanero chicken, the potato salad wow, and the sauce!!!! Walked in and only one person ahead already taken care of. 2 dudes behind the counter prepping (probably call ahead orders) no one acknowledged me for a while, a different customer came in after me and got his order taken right away with another employee. No one even looked at me. Only one of the dudes said he would be right me with. Waited probably 10-12 minutes of standing directly in front of the counter and no one helped me, but other customers were helped after I came in, customer service was a joke so I left. read more
