IB Pet opened up in the old Sun Diego space at Flower Hill last week. High-quality pet food company appears to have very good pricing. Convenient to Whole Foods shoppers who might need to grab a sack of dog or cat food without having to make an additional stop.

Dirty Dogs' self-wash is an absolute lifesaver! Washing my golden retriever in my apartment is…read moreback-breaking and takes forever with our low water pressure, so Dirty Dogs truly feels heaven-sent. The setup makes everything so much easier and faster, and way less messy. After reading other reviews, I started bringing extra towels, brushes, and my own shampoo since my pup has such a thick coat, and that's worked out perfectly. One time I went by myself, and the staff kindly helped me lift my dog into the bath, which I really appreciated. They're always friendly and willing to help. I also love that they have demo products you can try, and they smell amazing! Overall, such a convenient, thoughtful setup that makes bath time so much less stressful. Highly recommend for anyone with a big, fluffy dog!

The Good: great people, great grooming and baths and "CAGE FREE"…read more. The Bad: April 1st they began charging $25 per dog for a "cageless service fee". The problem is they don't have any cages in the grooming area. And if you bring 2 dogs in together then it $50 before you do anything!! You don't have a choice to do cageless or caged. One of the great things about Dirty Dogs is that it is cage free. So find another way to increase prices more legitimately, and until then I will have to think twice about coming in again or as often. A friend of mine said that he cut back on the amount that he tips to make up for this charge. That's not fair to the groomers. But it's his way of letting you know that he doesn't approve of this frivolous fee either.

Love Dexter's Deli and have only good things to say about it! First of all I had never heard of it…read morebut being a new pet parent I am sure glad I found it. It's such a great SD store that has a boutique feel and carries such a variety of products and many items I never knew existed. The staff were super friendly and love that my dog enjoyed all the treats they gave him. Both of the employees I spoke with were super knowledgeable and really had a passion for dogs. I ended up buying some flower essence and another other calming item, which I didn't know had existed and was happy I was introduced to them by the staff. I will say that I am most impressed and pleased that they fully support rescues and adoptions and we received a "share the love" gift that included some great items like a bag of food that was so generous. Not to mention that it's a woman-owned small business. I'll definitely be back and am looking forward to checking out the other locations!

She also surprised us by leaving a bag of extra treats in with our order, which was such a thoughtful touch. She was beyond kind and accommodating. You can tell they truly care about their customers and their pets. Exceptional service like this is rare. Highly recommend supporting this amazing local dog food store!

I spent days researching online and was ready to order everything, but I'm so glad I decided to come in person instead. I walked out of Mary's literally smiling like I just had my first kiss and blushing because I looked so good in my new riding outfit. I ended up spending about $1,000 on a pair of boots, two pairs of pants, and a top, and every single item was top-tier in quality. The fit, the feel, everything was just right. I cannot thank Jennifer enough. She helped me for nearly two hours, patiently guiding me through trying on at least five pairs of boots and almost ten outfits. She was so kind, so patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything fit perfectly. She didn't rush me and even switched out boots just to double-check the fit. I've truly never experienced service like that in any industry. I hugged her multiple times because I was that grateful. She made me feel confident and taken care of in a way I'll never forget. Sizing varies so much between brands. I wear a large in sports bras but ended up in an extra small top from one brand, so coming in person is a must. If you're new to riding or coming back like me, skip the online guessing and come here. The options are endless, the service is next level, and the experience is unforgettable. Five stars all the way. I'll only be shopping here from now on. Thank you again, and major love to Jennifer. She's the absolute best.

I have a Great Pyr and Anatolian Shepherd and we love Dirty Dogs self wash AND grooming!…read more I usually come here just for the self wash with my Anatolian, because he's short hair and I figured why not save a few bucks and do it myself. He's a big boy and also a big scaredy cat. He doesn't like the height of the tubs unfortunately but we had a staff member assist with picking him up and loading him into the tub...which was very kind!! Overall self wash is a decent enough price but I believe they have deals on certain days. Now on to the grooming... Had to use their grooming services last min because my usual groomer was completely booked! Dirty Dogs staff was extremely accommodating and communicative during the book process after I booked online. We happen to get Miss Megan and WE LOVE HER!! She was so great with my hairy girl and really took the time to get all the mats out!! She did really incredible work and I HIGHLY recommend going to her but all the groomers there are wonderful!

I've been a loyal customer of Dirty Dogs for years, and absolutely love our groomer Denise (she's…read morethe reason I am giving this business some stars and not just one) but it's honestly disappointing to see the direction things are going. One of the reasons I originally chose this place was because of their branding around organic, thoughtful, and customer-friendly grooming care. It felt like they genuinely prioritized the well-being of the dogs and the experience for owners. That's why the new $25 "cage-free" charge doesn't sit right with me. This change was implemented April 1,2026. Not kenneling dogs after grooming shouldn't be treated like some kind of premium add-on--it should be part of standard, humane care. I would think that most customers aren't leaving their dogs there for half a day so this fee feels unnecessary and out of touch with how people actually use the service. It comes across less like an improvement in care and more like a way to tack on an extra charge under the guise of something that should already be included. For a brand that markets itself as being about quality and ethical grooming, this change feels inconsistent and, frankly, a bit disappointing. I really hope they reconsider this policy because it takes away from what made this place stand out in the first place.
