Great little Ice Cream spot. Prices are in well range with others which surprised me. They also have some very unique flavors that sets them apart from others in the area. I got hard chocolate ice cream and a scoop of the sea salt caramel which was outta this world. My reason for taking a star is the service. It was very very slow with only two people ahead of me. And they girl wasnt friendly at all.

We went to Frost and Foundry last night and had an excellent experience! What a great local…read morebusiness! Michael the owner served us and was super pleasant, generous and patient with us. He's created a great space inside and out. Take the walk down Park Ave and enjoy the treats! I only give 5 stars because six isn't an option!

The inside…read moreis beautiful, with some indoor seating, and there are plenty of outdoor tables and Adirondack chairs for those warmer days. It's a family owned business run by a husband-and-wife team. When we visited, we met the husband, who was there with an employee he seemed to be training both very friendly and welcoming. We actually found out about this place through Instagram and a local news feature, so naturally, we had to check it out. It's tucked away toward the quieter end of Park Avenue, which makes it feel even more like a hidden gem. We stopped by on a warm October weekend. I initially thought all the ice cream was house-made but turns out it's Perry's. Not a deal-breaker, but a little "meh" moment. That said, they were actually making some fresh ice cream during our visit, and the owner even brought us a sample and it was delicious! I ordered a banana split, which was made just as expected. Since it was the employee's first time making one, I didn't fuss though part of me was hoping for a few more bells and whistles (maybe I'm just spoiled by Margie's Candies back in Chicago). It could've been prettier, but it still hit the spot. Overall, the ice cream was tasty, prices were fair, and the vibe was lovely. I do wonder how they'll do during the colder months maybe a collaboration with a local small-batch ice cream maker would be fun? Street parking available. Give them a whirl 4.5 outta 5!

Pittsford Farms Dairy - It's the best egg nog I've had in the region. By far.

This is such a cute place! I had heard so much about their ice-creams so I had been wanting to…read morecheck it out. I got a double scoop with pistachio biscotti and cherry vanilla bean. Both flavors were incredible: super creamy and rich. My friend got chocolate almond fudge, and that was just as good. We also grabbed some baked treats to go (brownie, whoopie pie, and muffins), and everything tasted amazing. Other than sweet treats, they also have coffees and teas on their menu, and a bunch of different dairy products. It feels cozy, local, and authentic - like everything is fresh or straight from the farm. It's actually part of a long-standing local farm operation, which makes the experience feel even more genuine. I also loved that they support other local businesses and sell products from them, it adds to that community feel. Overall, this place is more than just an ice cream stop, it's a whole experience. Definitely coming back.

Abbott's Frozen Custard

Abbott's Frozen Custard

Ab Hurts are like Butthurts but worse, because having a sore arse is something we all get used to…read morefrom time to time (some more than others, like me when I dated this one ex boyfriend), whereas Ab Hurts are like... my f***ing tummy hurts so f***ing much I can't even f***ing eat. OK well I can eat but you know what I mean. Ow. Thankfully Ab Hurts are in no way associated with this, one of the best frozen custard places not just in Rochester, but in the whole world. What to get: Vanilla Frozen Custard What else: My mother's phone number' If they were a Beatles-themed store, they'd be Fab4bots. I came to this particular Abbott's just yesterday, and thought I'd branch out and order something different. I got the "Chocolate Almond Custard." Mistake! I forgot that I don't really like Almonds. It does add a nice "salted" taste to it though, but the texture was a little, well, nutty for me. It reminded me of Salted Caramel though, which was good. If they sold knives, they'd be Stabbotts. And the service was excellent! The one girl was in a bad mood (who took my money) because I was buying ice cream at 8.59pm when they close at 9pm (I didn't realize this!), and the lady behind me was making a food order. However the server girl was soooooooo nice and gave me a ridiculously enormous portion when I just asked for a baby size. Yay! If they manufactured electronic good-looking sports wives, they'd be Wagbots. This lobby, by the way, is not the nicest lobby to hang out in. A lot of the other Bill Grays and Abbott's have much nicer lobbies. But the vanilla custard is still the absolute bomb. If they sold blocks of concrete, they'd be Slabbotts. I'm going to borrow the rest of my jokes from the other Abbott's review, since I've now been to so many Abbott's that I'm running out of Abbott's jokes. There's something very special about Abbott's. I love frozen custard, but all custards are not created equal. I get so maniacally enthusiastic about this stuff that I usually end up in Police Custardy. If the people here were all overweight, it would be Flabbotts. And as I've said before, You'll find Abbott's inside Bill Gray's. It's a separate business that shares a space, much like Taco Bell/KFC do in many places. The employees inside work for both. If people were often abducted here, it'd be Nabbotts. It's one of my "best 5 custards I've ever had." I think I like custard more than ice cream, more than fro yo, less than real gelato, but that's beside the point. Focusing specifically on custard, which is sort of like soft-serve-but-creamier, the best in the country are Leon's in Milwaukee, followed by Nielsen's in Vienna, VA just outside DC, and then Abbott's in 3rd. After that, I think Cleveland has the next-best, and then there are a lot that are more or less tied. If Scientists worked here, it'd be Labbotts. There are many BG/Abbott's in Rochester, and a couple in Buffalo. In my experience they have all been fantastic. If it was full of Canadians and beer, it'd be Labbatts. I'm also glad to note that having visited Rochester and several new Abbott's, I do not like it any less than I did years ago. In fact I f***ing love it. If it were full of narks, snitches, rats and informants, it'd be Blabbotts. Anyway, it's still fantastic, creamy, sinfully delicious custard that is better than the next-best version (Don's) in the area. Come and give it a try and see for yourself what all the Rochesteritonianisticalishy fuss is Abbott. And if it kept changing its windows, it'd be ALT+TABbotts.
