Saw the Mercantile to open on the news a week or two ago and today am seeing it open! It as just as neat of a spot as it looked it looked to be on the news! For just opening they have many restaurant/cafe/drink type places of all varieties, something for everyone! Have not tried any of the places yet but am excited to and review them next! The space is modern looking, very open with bright vibrant colors and different furniture all contemporary in style. The space is all centered around the old Sibley Clock with a shared huge table space underneath written on it "meet me At the clock" a tribute to the old building and clock. There is also some giant, life size games to play (closed now due to covid) such as chess, shuffle board and checkers. I definitely see this being a new hip spot to gather in Rochester.

This is such a cool space! Been here twice and looking forward to coming back during more peak hours. Both times I've came here have been later on at night, so not all of the vendors were open. The space itself is very appealing. Nicely decorated, spaced out tables, a bar area, and an area with games. I imagine this being a great meeting spot with more businesses opening back up. The places I've tried were Cut and Nani's kitchen. Both great, high quality food with pretty extensive options for a cafeteria style type of place. Check this place out for sure! Hope to come back and try the coffee shop soon.

Cut restaurant is in the Mercantile on Main Street. I asked for takeout two salads. I get home and there's cheese shredded all over. I asked for no cheese! Please check your orders before you leave because they don't pay attention. Their salads are all cold, I thought the chicken would be warm and the beans would be warm and the quinoa would be warm. They don't answer their phone and their message machine is full

Many dining/drinking options! Affordable price points!

THIS PLACE IS SO COOL!!!!!!!!! We've only been to Nani's Kitchen so far, but plan to go back to try all of the restaurants. Excited for days when the pandemic doesn't limit indoor gatherings, because the Mercantile on Main has done a GREAT job creating a gathering space with huge games to play, spaces to eat as a group, affordably-priced options, and where there's something for everyone (since all could theoretically eat at separate restaurants, while sitting together to "break bread.") The heritage of Sibley's "Meet Me Under the Clock" has been preserved, and there are many other historic artifacts and touches from the days when Sibley's was THE department store destination. Sleek, cool, yet accessible -- well done Rochester Revival!

The food hall is such a great concept to have available to us in Rochester! I was really sad to see how empty it was on a Friday night and in turn how early the businesses closed. Each business has their own exterior designs which are so beautiful, but the space is tied together with bright colors and the awesome common area. We sampled a bit from a few of the stalls and really enjoyed everything! Looking forward to going back and trying more! Pro Tip: park in the Mortimer Street garage and you can get your parking validated if you make a purchase!

I visited Mercantile on Main about a month ago and was impressed. As this is a new development, I loved the modern and sleek feel. Also, I appreciated how there is a variety of food options, even for the picky and healthy eaters. I got the Indian tacos from Nani's. They were quite delicious, although I wish the fried naan didn't fall apart so easily. I also was sad that one of the restaurants was not yet open, although I am unsure if they are all open now. I look forward to coming back to this location and trying another restaurant!

Brunch at Cut! Who knew? I had stopped on for lunch when I saw a pop up brunch menu. Everything was mad from scratch and delicious! The people there are very helpful with recommendations and they bring your food out to you. Nice open space for social distancing and with other restaurants there is something for everyone. Highly recommend you try it!

What a sweet family owned place, super authentic Chinese eatery, I love how the lady (probably the…read moreowner) only spoke Chinese, to me that means it's a legit place. She gave us a donut and warm soy milk, there's also free peanuts, candy and fruit. The hospitality is outstanding and it's 1000000 stars for that alone. We got chicken and chive fried dumplings, soup dumplings and what we thought was Jajangmyeon but it wasn't and it was just a 'pork and sauce noodle' dish, it didn't have any black bean sauce. I also forgot to ask for sauces and ginger so idk if they even had that but it needed it. Parking is a mess and it's more of a walking town, there's tables and it's a lot like a food court inside.

A whole family sat around a work table, rolling, filling and shaping dumplings. I'm a vegetarian, so I can't speak to the majority of the dishes, which contain meat, but my veggie steamed dumplings are delicious with some spicy oil. Not flimsy and weird-tasting, like when you order "gyoza" from most restaurants. Next time, I'll try the buns and perhaps one of the pancakes. As I waited, I saw it was a destination for students in town, a good sign. The menu is quite extensive for such a simple and small space.
