At least I knew it wasn't microwaved and ready in under 5 minutes. Plus, the texture was not microwaved tough. I had the banana and caramel waffle with scrambled eggs. The waffle came topped with a heaping of bananas and a caramel drizzle, but underneath that the waffle had been drizzled with a glaze that reminded me of cinnamon role glaze. A friend had mixed berry waffle that didn't require syrup because of the cinnamon role glaze. My niece had the moon cakes that were topped with what looked like chocolate and Nutella. I get the hype. I do. Whenever I get back to Rochester, The Waffle Factory will definitely be an option for breakfast.

First, this place is in a strip mall and may not be easy to spot; second it's small, and despite their efforts to jazz up the interior with themed seating areas, it has a very take-out sort of vibe; and third, there are other things on the menu that I'm guessing they offer because of their proximity to RIT, but take my word for it - stick with the Turkish items and you will not be disappointed! Our order included the 'sucuklu yumurta', which is basically eggs with Turkish sausages served in it's own metal pan, plus the bagel plate, and I had the 'tray' (the name of which I cannot remember) which came with hard boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, tea, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and a roll. It was almost exactly the breakfast we had every morning in Turkey, except the fruit we had there was fresh and here it was a kind of preserve. The portions may seem a little small, but prices are very good, and I would definitely recommend getting more things than you think you need just so you can try more and ensure you will leave satisfied. The service here is always friendly and fast. I barely waited at all for my drink or the waffle. And it is the perfect little spot to sit and work or catch up with friends. There are two entrances so it could be a little misdirection, but it's not hard to find out where you need to order as it is an open concept kitchen. If it's busy enough, when I went the line was down to the entrance, you'll have plenty of time to look at the menu, then get to the register so you can order. There's a decent amount of seating, but if you plan on eating breakfast inside, get there around 8 AM to 9:30 AM or expect to be in a long line, moves fast though! The workers on the inside are pretty cool. I didn't get a whole lot of face time with them as it's not set up like a server to table situation but you do get the customer service experience enough to know that they are pretty good at what they do. Can't end this review without mentioning that the banana foster French toast was my absolute favorite. I finished that whole plate within five minutes and I do not eat fast. I kept going up to them they kept saying it's not ready yet... A family came in after me and ended up getting their food first. But all of a sudden when I went up for the last time about to get a refund my food appeared on the table. They had my pickup order on some grey gate table thing. If they lost track of it that's all they had to say. The only person who apologized was a young man, whose name I wish I had. Since they close at 4pm and the food came at 3:30 I just felt rushed I didn't have a great experience at all.
