I asked about the pipes under the house and they took pictures and explained the situation which involved pipes that were evidently installed by someone other than a professional plumber. I requested that they replace the pipes, which they did. I was pleasantly surprised by what they charged and how efficiently they worked. I also had a minor problem with the ice maker in my freezer which they took care of also. Jose` was one of the main workers and he was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I highly recommend Herk's

She's had different companies come out to check her sewage line after finding roots in the system, every last one of them said she needs to replace the system. And that they need to dig out under the house. After having herk's come by and give his opinion, he said the pipe was already replaced and roots were coming in from the connection. He helped my mom call the city for them to take care of it, which they did. Cleaning out the line of roots and also apply weed and roots killer. He explained everything very well and also let my mom see what he saw on camera and explained it to her so she understands what's really going on. Would recommend herk's to anyone looking for an honest plumber.

Because I called a bit late in the day, same-day service wasn't available--which was completely understandable. However, early this morning, I received a prompt call from Samuel, and he was on top of it right away. Samuel was a complete gentleman and an absolute professional from start to finish. He patiently answered every single one of my questions and did an outstanding job with the actual work, which included: Fixing the leak quickly and efficiently. Replacing the old pipes to ensure everything was secure. Installing a brand-new water heater seamlessly. What started out as a highly stressful situation was made completely easy and hassle-free thanks to his care and expertise. I cannot thank your team enough for the peace of mind. Samuel really did a spectacular job, and I will absolutely be referring your services to all of my friends and family! Thank you again!

I called Edgar after 5pm that same day, and he answered. He even tried reaching out to his guys to see if someone could come out that night. Although that wasn't possible (which was completely understandable given the timing), he made it a priority to come out the very next day with one of his employees. We live in an older home with less than ideal plumbing, and Edgar quickly identified the issues. He offered helpful suggestions on what could be improved, but never once tried to push additional work. We truly appreciated his honesty and approach. He simply wanted to make us aware of what he noticed. We also asked him about a few other plumbing concerns, and he was more than willing to share his knowledge and guidance. Edgar is not only kind and professional, but also very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. Highly recommend!

We were told a technician would be arriving to fix our plumbing issues between 8 to 10:30 am this morning. Guess what? No one showed up and there was no updates--unprofessional. I still gave them a chance by calling them to ask if they were still coming and waiting. At about 2 pm today a technician did arrive and then he said he'd have to go buy supplies--which is weird because why wasn't there shared notes between technicians regarding what was needed for the job--highly inefficient. So the technician left to the store after never actually working on our issue and never came back. We then got a call saying that they'd need to reschedule to Monday or Tuesday because the technician wasn't prepared. This doesn't work for us and we already communicated to the previous technician that Monday/Tuesday didn't work for us because we work full time. And regardless at this point, this business has proved itself to be inefficient and unreliable. I called the business to communicate again that Monday/Tuesday didn't work. I was told that I'd get called by a supervisor and they'd try to get someone out today. That was hours ago and there has been no communication since. Seems like the supervisors must not have a stand up character. The least they could do is call and apologize for the inconvenience. So in summary, Roto-Rooter is unprofessional and unreliable. Don't waste your time.

At the end of March 2026, I submitted a project in Yelp asking for help to unclog my toilet. I…read moreinitially attempted to use my automatic snake to free up the debris that was clogging the toilet but the snake was stuck and I couldn't pull it out, and so I got help using Yelp to find me a licensed contractor. The plumber was able to pull out the snake but it doing so the at the end of the snake it had a bunch of fiber glass insulation maybe the size of a golf ball. As he continued to do his work, he then called me a 2nd time to show me what he pulled out of the drain, which was a softball size of Wall insulation. We were both puzzled as to how insulation was in the plumbing. At first he said that maybe the installation was not done correctly and may have been done in a way where the venting just went into the attic and the snake ended up pulling insulation from the attic. But I then by checked and went into the attic and noticed that the venting went all the way through the roof as per code, and so the plumber mentioned then that someone must of flushed this material down the toilet. This didn't make sense because there's no logical reason why my daughter or my wife would have access to insulation on the 2nd floor of my house to even put down the toilet. I questioned him again and he said that there was no other way except that the insulation was put there intentionally and thus clogged the toilet. I asked him also if he had a camera to inspect, but he said he forgot it. So after "unclogging" the toilet he then did some tests like draining water down the toilet and verified that it was draining properly. I asked if everything is working order and that he fixed the problem, and he responded that he did. I paid him the $325 for the service and he left. Fast forward to today, we heard a bang from something falling and to later find out that my wedding Portrait has fallen off the wall. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the drywall was wet and moist. Btw, this area of the wall hides the drain pipe from the 2nd floor bathroom and upon further investigation, I saw that the iron drain pipe was disconnected from the rubber grommet that connects to the pvc 45 degree elbow drain. So all this time my bathroom drain was not going down the iron pipe but instead falling down like a waterfall down to the first floor behind the interior walls. I spoke to the plumber and he refuses to take responsibility and says the he did the job and unclogged the toilet. He insisted that it was my problem and that he did was he was hired to do. I explained to him that yes he unclogged the toilet but in doing so he inadvertently jarred the drain pipe off the rubber grommet that connected it to the main PVC pipe, and also it now makes sense that the metal snake caught the insulation from the wall rather than insulation which he suggested was in the drain pipe by someone placing it down the drain. He's arguing that it was my doing that I got the metal snake caught in the first place and so the fact that he removed it, he felt he did his job. Below are the pictures of what happens when a plumber doesn't have the right tools(camera) to ensure all the plumbing he worked on is working and in order before leaving a job.
