I mentioned that my city unfortunately does not allow salt and i would have to go with no salt filtration. Before i can go into further details, he quickly cut me off and said sorry MAN i don't carry that sorry MAN. I wanted to ask about installation if i get my own unit but i felt i was getting brushed off it and he seems to be in the rush to get of the line with me. He suggested returning the next day with his supervisor. Meanwhile, the pipe continued to leak throughout the night. The following day, I received a call from the supervisor, who reviewed the nighttime photos and concluded that the pipe was beyond repair. He quoted $4,800 for a full back-flow replacement. I declined the estimate. Instead, I hired a plumber experienced with back-flow systems. They promptly diagnosed and repaired the leak--for just $180.
