Customer service here used to be great but based on my experience yesterday, the quality of service…read morehas significantly declined. I scheduled a full set with Mary 2 and a pedicure for yesterday. I've booked with Mary 2 several times in the past because she has generally done a good job with my preferred nail shape and designs. However, this appointment was a very different experience. I requested a cow-print french tip design. After she completed the first nail, I asked her to take a look because the design didn't resemble the picture I showed her. The reference picture was up the entire time she was doing the design. She told me to wait until she applied the 2nd coat, which I did. After the 2nd coat, the design still did not match the reference photo. When I brought it up, she got frustrated and told me it's the exact same design. It was not. Then she said it's because the length I chose was too short. Also false. I understand that not every technician can execute every design and I would've appreciated an honest acknowledgment if the requested design was outside of her capabilities. Instead, my concerns were dismissed, and she became defensive and confrontational. We agreed that she would remove the design and allow me to choose an alternative. I decided on just the french tip without the cow-print spots this time. During the remainder of the service, she remained visibly frustrated and roughly pushed and pulled my hands when it was time to place them under the UV lamp. This was unprofessional and made the remainder of the appointment uncomfortable. An hour and a half after my appointment time, we were finally done. When Mary 2 asked whether I still wanted the pedicure, I declined. When I was checking out, the manager asked whether I no longer had time for the pedicure. I explained that my experience with Mary 2 had been frustrating and uncomfortable and that I no longer wished to continue with additional services. The manager simply responded "oh, ok" without asking any follow-up questions or attempting to address the concerns I had raised. Overall, this experience reflected poorly on both the technician's professionalism and the salon's approach to customer service. The issue wasn't just that the design didn't match the reference photo. Instead, it was how my concerns were handled and the manner in which I was treated afterward. There are too many nail salons in this area to deal with a business where concerns about service quality and professionalism are handled this way.
