Very good Pad Thai - will be back for sure. Friendly and prompt service. Have only taken to-go so can't speak of ambiance. Thank you!

Came here with my family (we love Thai food). Their food did not disappoint. Everything that we ate…read moretasted really good. Lots of authentic flavor and good portions. The servers were really nice & prompt. The restaurant was clean & decorated well. It's not a very large place but I like it that way, more cozy. We will definitely come back soon.

Found this quaint little Thai restaurant while rolling through Maplewood. Tucked away in a strip…read moremall, there's plenty of parking. Ambiance: Small, clean, no frills Thai restaurant that gets busy with takeout orders. There were tables and booths for seating. It took a few minutes to get seated, as the main server was sitting at the back table, eating. When she finished, she got me seated. The goods: I rate Thai restaurants on Kao Soi or Pad Thai. I chose Kao Soi with chicken and shrimp and the fresh spring rolls. Both were just okay. The food came out VERY QUICKLY, like 5-7 minutes. The spring rolls were filled with lettuce. Very little noodles or meat. There was tons of cilantro. The sauce was decent. The Kao Soi was not very flavorful. It was mostly coconut milk as the broth. Not much curry. The chicken was tender, the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. I washed it down with a Pepsi. At $27 total, I think I prefer Lotus in the Loring neighborhood, better quality, more flavor and cheaper. Can't say I'd visit again. If so, I'd try the pad Thai.

With two locations that are both consistently amazing, I've never had a single subpar experience. The restaurants are clean, simple and have great service. One thing I really appreciate is how clearly they label gluten-free and vegetarian options. The menu is packed with choices for different dietary restrictions. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and full of bold, authentic flavor. My go-to favorites are the pad thai, green curry, drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, yellow curry, and the spring rolls, they truly never miss. If you're new to Thai food, you can't go wrong starting with the pad thai and fried rice. If you like a little spice and depth of flavor, definitely add a curry to the mix. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing), and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. I can't recommend Coconut Thai enough!

I got veggie pad thai and chicken green curry. Both medium spice. Definitely "Minnesota medium spice". The flavors of both dishes were a bit bland, like the flavoring was muted or diluted too much. Don't think I'll try this place again, unfortunately. I was really hoping to find great Thai food here.
