This is a great place for reasonably priced sushi. We got this platter to go which easily filled our family. You have to do chef selection but it was all pretty straightforward rolls and included some of our favorite. Will be an easy Sunday night meal option for us again!

This sushi spot is a real find! The rolls are delicious, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The staff is super friendly. Definitely check this place out if you're craving good sushi without breaking the bank. It was a cozy little spot, perfect for a quiet moment. We had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice. Not a lot of seating, but just enough. Glad we found it! The sushi's from left to right are hot girl, rainbow, secret lover.

    Pick 3 - 2x salmon avocado and 1x salmon

I'm so glad this place moved in. Easy to navigate the website and order online. I honestly had pretty low expectations given the name and strip mall storefront, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Sometimes cheaper or smaller sushi joints cram so much rice into the sushi it's hard to find the fish... iLike Sushi does not skimp on your fish to rice ratio (unlike some of the higher end places in Madison). I much prefer this to some of the fancier sushi places nearby and will continue to go back. Reasonable prices, nice staff, and an easy pickup counter. I wasn't able to pay online so you still have to wait in line if there is one, but it wasn't crazy busy at dinner time when I went. I will definitely be coming here again, especially since their menu has a "pick 3" sushi option - affordable yet delicious.

Wonderful Shrimp Tempura - not overcooked at all

I stopped in for luncj, got some sashimi and some shrimp tempura. I usually avoid Shrimp items in and around Madison simply because it is not a great fish town and the results are usually quite rubbery. here I was pleasantly surprised. The Sashimi was good, firm, chilled and I had no complaints. The tempura was a good coating, was not rubbery at all and tasted great. I wont hesitate to come back! Steamed pork dumplings - get them!

Website is really easy to place a to go order, you pay when you get there. It was ready exactly when they said it would be. The steamed pork dumplings were definitely a highlight. Soo good! Salad was really big. Scallion pancakes were very different than the Chinese variety we are used to - really fluffy and flaky...think Japanese croissant! Sushi was good, not particularly special (I'd probably give it a 3.5 if Yelp would let me, but rounded up to 4 thanks to the great prices. Two rolls for $9.95! Most expensive special roll is $13.50. We got the Dancing Tuna. Tuna was really pretty and seemed very fresh. The staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be back.

LOVE them. The staff are all really nice and the prices are worth it! The food is good for the price and it all tastes very fresh. There is not much seating but the decor is cute. I recommend being ok with doing takeout in case there isn't a table

She was very careful about our allergy concerns and made sure to take care of us (my daughter has a severe fish allergy and needed her ramen free of fish cake & sauce). The Thai boba tea was delicious, too. I discovered that I prefer Thai ice tea better without boba, but I really enjoyed it in this form, as well. I enjoyed the clean and comfortable atmosphere. I was thankful for the interior photograph left by a previous Yelper because the Yelp reviews I read didn't mention that the place had a dine-in an option. The dining space want just accommodating, but lovely, as well.

So, we went to Zen Ramen. First off, this establishment is nice and clean. The one staff person there, was extremely gracious and friendly. We were promptly greeted and sat at a table. I ordered the gyoza, for an appetizer. The gyoza was cooked to perfection, with a very subtle very soft crunch on the outside, and very tender ground pork inside. The gyoza plus the sauce were delicious. I ordered the classic tonkotsu ramen, and my husband ordered the seafood ramen, with red pepper chili oil, which they served on the side. He poured the whole amount in! He likes the heat. He loved his dish immensely. We both ordered our dishes with Udon noodles. My tonkotsu ramen, well, I wish it had more substance to it. The pork was overcooked and dry, but did have a nice soy taste to the outside of the pork. The broth was delicious, but it felt like the Udon noodles were a filler, and excessive. The marinated eggs were delicious. I didn't see any sesame seed in my dish. I felt like I ate more noodles than anything else in the dish. Basically, my husband dish had a lot more in it, then I had. It's all about choice. The one staff member serving was very friendly, and we will go back again. Beware, you will be full after eating here.

Living on the West Coast we have multiple options so this was a nice and unexpected surprise when we popped in for lunch on the way back from the airport. We opted for a shoyou Ramen as well as a tonkatsu Ramen. Both were rich and flavorful and had plenty of toppings. It came with an egg, although we ordered additional eggs on the side. I saw a vegetarian one go by and that also looked phenomenal. It was a really large portion and we took some of it home. Service was friendly. Parking was on the street. I'm not sure if there is a private lot. Cool vibes reasonably priced menu overall.

I went on a weekday lunch, so there was no wait--only one other customer when I arrived. I ordered the pork belly tonkotsu ramen because I prefer a creamy, richer broth. I almost went for the spicy crab, but since it included ground pork, I switched. My food came out in about ten minutes, which wasn't too bad. The broth was flavorful and rich, though I wish it had been served a little hotter. Portion size was generous, and I especially appreciated the bamboo shoots and perfectly soft-boiled egg. Overall, I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The quality was good, though prices are on the higher side at about $15 per bowl. They do offer a loyalty program (buy 10, get the 11th free), which is a nice perk. Street parking is terrible and I ended up using the parking garage across the restaurant.

Pistachio one was my favorite. There were many Asian ice creams. Propitious mango was a good one. There were a lot of small food places in the food hall. I tried food from a lot of different places. The food hall had a lot of seats, and was neatly maintained. It was never crowded. Kawasaki is close to the entry of Global Market. So the first time I was there, I went straight to this place. I had a Chicken katsu rice bowl. It was one of the best food I had in the food hall. Display had some very delicious and cute cakes. Next time I should try some of that. Taiwan Street has nice pho and bubble tea. I went for a pistachio milk shake, without bubbles. It was good. But I think I should have really went for a pho. They have a lots of sweets in display. I went for a peach swiss roll and a sesame ball. Both were good. From Dumpling House, I went for a chicken and mushroom dumpling and chinese chive pie. Both were good . It came steaming hot. I think I should have gone for some of their more favorite items like chive and pork dumpling. From Nice Flavor Stir Fry , I went for a sauteed sliced lamb with cumin. Generally this is a really flavorful dish which you cannot go wrong with. But it wasn't as good as I expected. Flavors were off, and the quality fo meat was not as good as I expected. Stir fry chicken mei fun was my favorite item from Bowl Bowl Rice. It came hot and was flavorful. I also had a tea leaf flavor egg. It was just $1. But it came with egg shell. I had to peel it. Egg was slightly less flavorful than I expected. Mochi donut is the main item in Glazed. There were some food items as well, but I didn't find takers for that. I went for 3 donuts - Oreo, honey dew and churro. The flavors were all interesting. May be oreo was my favorite. Donut texture was more chewy. From S&B Hmong Kitchen, I went for a fried rice from this place. It was flavorful. Cilantro and scallion on top gave a nice flavor kick. From Poké Mì, I went for a drunken noodles as my entree. It was not as good as I expected. Flavors were off. May be I should have gone for bahn mi. I haven't seen sugar cane juice anywhere else in Madison. So went for one. I thought it was just ok.

It might have been that it was a particularly cold day and it just hit, but it worked. The pan fried dumplings were okay. The dough was a little thick and there wasn't any soup in them. The neighborhood is nice and Sake Sushi is located in a small plaza, however I almost missed it since it is located on the side of the plaza and was not visible from the street. Inside I found an interesting mix of decor, it seems like a traditional Asian restaurant with white linen tableclothes and also some very modern touches including neon strip lighting along the ceiling and a variety of light fixtures. Overall a bit of a mishmash that would be better if they picked one style and stayed with it. I got there in the late afternoon so the place was empty at first, I was seated and given the menu which allows you to fill out what you want. The menu is fairly similar to other AYCE sushi places I have been at. Of note is that at dinner you can order up to 15 pieces of sashimi without an extra charge. I ordered a nice selection of sashimi, some sushi, a couple of different maki rolls, the salmon skin salad and the seafood soup. Interestingly the sashimi and sushi came out first, then the maki rolls, then the soup and salad. The sashimi was very good, fresh with nice sized pieces; the nigiri sushi had a nice portion of seafood to rice. I was a bit disappointed with the seafood soup, just a bit under seasoned and too much bean sprouts. The salmon skin salad was excellent with nicely roasted smoked salmon skin mixed with a bit of eel sauce, delicious, crunchy and one of my favorites that you don't see everywhere. I also enjoyed the scallops sashimi, large fresh raw scallops with a nice delicate flavor and texture. The maki rolls were good as well, nicely sized with plenty of filling. I did really enjoy the Super Lobster Roll with shrimp tempura, cucumbers, avocado then topped with lobster salad; the lobster salad was a nice treat, although I think it was made with lagostino lobsters it was still tasty. I also liked their version of spider roll, the soft shell crab was crispy and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal at Sake Sushi, dinner was $30 for all you can eat. The sushi and sashimi were very good, of course not quite the same quality as the best sushi bars but pretty close. Service was good and there are plenty of choices, including noodle dishes, fried rice, hibachi and tempura. The decor is a bit of a miss, but nothing that will keep you from enjoying your meal. Well worth a try if you are hungry and feel like some sushi and Japanese food.
