Poorly used the supplies provided by me, and didn't even use all of it (several rolls of paper and foam packed as cargo but not used); a number of my items arrived damaged, broken or ruined. Furniture heavily scratched and covered in large rub marks, especially wooden dresser. Seemed to just pack things willy-nilly including medical records (put in pod loose, spilled contents everywhere with many pages ruined), fresh produce (slime by the time it arrived) and framed art (randomly packed with other items without protection, leading to broken glass in boxes). Personal computer (valued approx $1000) was packed loose in pod and needs repairs. Frankly, pretty angry and disappointed.

Having never hired movers before and…read moreafter reading many of these negative experiences, I was prepared to say aw hell naw, and just handle everything ourselves. We had a tight timeline we needed to meet in order to be out of our apartment by the end of the month and into our new house. There was no way that I could afford a moving company not showing up on the scheduled day. A coworker recommended Fletcher Parker Moving to us and couldn't have spoken more highly of her own experience, so we gave Mr. Parker a call. He called us back immediately and scheduled a time to come over and give us an estimate for our move. We were very pleased with the price range he gave us considering we were living on the third floor of an older Ghent apartment building and that moving involved going through the midtown tunnel to Portsmouth. We set the date and time the day he gave us the estimate and said that we'd touch base a couple days before to make sure everything was still on track and that our timeline hadn't changed. On schedule, he was in touch with us two days prior and confirmed we were all set. The day of the move, his crew showed up right on time. He had a team of about six people and they wasted no time getting straight to work. We had a large apartment and a LOT of stuff and I was amazed how quickly his team began to empty the apartment. They took the time to cover and protect our furniture and I couldn't believe how they knew the best way to load it all into the truck to ensure they had to make the least number of trips possible, which turned out to be only two. His original estimate on timing was that we should plan on an all day move, however after arriving and starting to get to work around 9am, they were completely done and had everything into our new house by 2:30pm. They set up beds, arranged the heavier items exactly where we wanted them, and were super nice and courteous. The best part, aside from not having a sore back, was that the final price was right on point with his estimate. No hidden costs or trying to add on extra due to this or that. We completed our move without anything damaged and their efficiency allowed me to return to our apartment that afternoon to do my final cleaning vs. having to return the following day. It was great having that extra day to start unpacking in our new house and doing the fun part after four weeks of packing hell.

He had to find and purchase the correct screws and he had to make time in his schedule to accommodate me. I appreciate his professionalism and for resolving the issue. Word to the wise: no matter how stressful the move is, make sure that the screws to the beds are taped/attached to that particular piece of furniture! It will save you from headaches and frustration.

It's hard to find someone for just a one-item transport instead of a house move. They provided a reasonable price and were able to do the job the next day, giving the estimated 2-hour time window. The next day, they called and, as I had requested, gave us 30 minutes advance notice when they were on the way, which was during the time window. For the move, they handled the item carefully and did a great job. (They do larger moves and further distances.) It was great to find someone to handle a small job. I would use them again.

Tetris Moving company has been by far the best moving experience we have had, and we give them five out of five stars. We have worked with Darius (the owner of the company), Anthony (one of the movers), and Michael (also one of the movers). On our first move, Darius himself and Anthony helped us. On our second, Anthony and Michael helped us. To begin with, Darius is awesome to work with. He is easy to communicate with about a potential job, he is responsive, and he is prompt, all of which are really important to people with scheduled moving dates. His pricing and services provided are also unambiguous, which is also important, as well as uncommon among moving companies. He holds his employees to a high standard, and it really shows- the other reviews all say very similar things. Also, anecdotally, I personally watched Darius "one-man" an oak dresser that was the entire reason we hired movers the first time, LOL. It was incredible. On to Anthony- we couldn't figure out how to request him, so we just crossed our fingers that he would get put on our move the second time and he did! Before I even go into all the great stuff about Anthony, I want to share an anecdote that we have told our family probably 30 times. The first time we worked with Anthony, I couldn't maneuver the truck down the aisle in the storage place, because it was very narrow and a car was blocking me. My partner was saying, "just turn it, just turn it!" And I was saying, "I hear you, but I literally cant!" When we finally got it figured out, Anthony, who had been behind me, hopped out of his car and said, "you keep saying 'I can't,' 'I cant-' but you can! You can, because you did!" It was so uplifting and motivational, it was a pretty cool way to start what could have been a miserable day. Anyways, we love working with Anthony. He is so professional and knowledgeable, and honestly a natural leader. Darius, if you read these personally, I just want to say that I used to hire Project Managers, and Anthony is IT. He has IT. He has such a natural way of making sure things get done and get done right. He was loading up the truck today and saying stuff like, "actually, this would be the best way to do this without anything breaking," or, "let's do xyz because that's the standard we want to set." It was pretty cool to see him taking ownership of the company he works for and being both onboard with company policy, and also intentional about communicating and complying with it. Hes also a natural leader, like I mentioned. The way he directed what he wanted done, and how and why, was really impressive, and in my opinion, he would be an asset as a manager of people and projects. This experience was so good for us that not only did we want to work with him twice, but this time I literally gave him carte blanche to tell me anything he wanted verbatim conveyed in a review. All he did was crack up and say, "just tell Darius I was better than him!" Haha! Finally, Michael was professional and knowledgeable as well, and also completely hilarious. Michael was cracking jokes the whole move, and it was cool to see he and Anthonys relationship. They're clearly really close, and work well together, and its just fun to be a part of. Michael had us cracking up the whole time, and his engineering background was really apparent in how efficient he was. It was really nice working with Michael, and we will be requesting him (as well as Anthony, of course) next time. Overall, I have recommended Tetris Moving Company to multiple friends and family in the area, and we will be using only them moving forward. It has been by far the best experience we have had with any moving company, and perhaps most importantly, they *do the entire job.* We were describing a fiasco that our in laws had with a separate moving company to Anthony, where the other moving company only did one trip and then left. Anthony looked genuinely disgusted and was adamant that they should have done the entire job, and that he and Michael were here for the whole move because that's what they were hired to do. I almost never leave reviews and felt very strongly about making sure I shout this from the mountain tops. This is an amazing company and the service they provide is unbeatable, and I genuinely feel that. Perfect rating from us, and I would 100% recommend to any and everyone. Also, they were timely!
