I am new to area and did a Google search for computer repair and selected these guys based upon their reviews. I had a 27" iMac with no video display and pretty much knew what the problem was (I used to work for Apple). I figured the video card or processor was fried and would require replacement. However, I decided to see what they came back with after the diagnostic. Two days later (exactly when they said they would have a diagnosis), the tech confirmed that the video card was the root of the problem. He then offered a several alternatives, including replacing the card with a new one (most expensive), a re-furb'd card (slightly less expensive) or he could try reseating the graphic processor chip and reflow the solder to repair damaged connectors (much less expensive). I was frankly surprised they even proposed the last option, as this takes some specialized equipment and advanced technical ability. However, I decided to give it a shot, and my Mac is now working perfectly. While I was fully prepared to pay several hundred dollars for a new card, I was extremely impressed with the fact that they offered a much cheaper alternative without any prompting. first off i am a writer so it is horrifying when a computer crashes , so let me say i cannot thank the gentlemen at i 5 computers enough!!!!, (back to the point) like most reviews of i 5 computers i was super impressed by the workers and the customer service how ever that is just the tip of the ice burg not only are the people mighty helpful but the work they put in is just as excellent as the customers service and this is my third time coming to this repair shop and as you can see i am always satisfied every time, tho this is my first review i originally found out about this place from a friend who was bragging about how he knew the best computer repair shop when my hp crashed. he was telling the truth they cut me a deal and i wish i had enough to tip or something when i had no other way they helped! i feel as if they really care about their business and take pride in their work i would recommend to anyone in fact if i had two more hands id give them four thumbs up!! but i dont so 5 stars all the way read more

I was a first time customer to this place a little hard to find but well worth it. I had some problems with my laptop that has HUGE sentimental value. so I wanted it to be fixed. I kinda knew what was wrong so I knew these guys would not take advantage of me. Well it the total cost to fix came out to over 200 bucks. I said for that I can just buy one of your refurbished laptops that you have there in the shop Bob took time to tell me all about 6 different models to choose from. I ended up with a Dell 1 treabyte hard drive 4 gigs of ram a 15.6in screen ,windows 10, a dvd/rw drive a blue ray player and 2 years of eSET virus protection ( 85 dollar value ) and a few other bells and whistles. All for 180.00 and he said being that my old HP laptop that has a busted DC jack. Bob the worker manager waived the 45 diagnostic fee. So if n are ever in Vancouver, Wasington go see BOB and or DARREN at I-5 COMPUTERS INC next to kinkos they now their stuff and excel in customer servic. read more

I have had both my daughter & my computer repaired @ I-5 as well as purchasing one of their refurbished laptops that was on display in the lobby. Their prices are very reasonable as well as desirable, since they also compare prices from outside vendors & will match their lowest price (like Walmart does, yippee)! You really can live better, as Walmart says, with I-5's prices, because we all know that we are empty these days without our computers that we rely on as if it was food & water! The customer service also goes hand-in-hand with their prices, Ms. Wendy @ the front desk is super nice as well as the owner is very professional, knowledgeable, friends, & gets the job done right the 1st time as well as in a speedy timely manner, I would refer their business to all of my friends as well as give every staff a raise in pay if I had the finances to do so ... I enjoy "salty" political memes & save them to my desktop. I was reluctant to have a pro Antifa computer technician in Portland seek revenge for my memes and engage in arson, home invasion, or worse. The District Attorney, Mike Schmidt, in Portland Oregon opposes the United States Constitution, selectively enforces laws & approves of Antifa violent criminal behavior. I found I-5 Computers by looking up who was closest and had the best reviews....and I was not disappointed!! Darren jumped right into both of my pc's at 4:30 pm on Saturday, which I just noticed their hours are 10-4, so he started on my issues after hours and worked for over 2 hours. One of my pc's wasn't worth fixing and the other one had been wiped clean so needed a tune up and operating system loaded, but instead of charging me for all of that, he used my hard drive off my dead computer and charged me less than the usual for working late! Saved me a ton of money and got my system back up and running!! I would HIGHLY recommend coming to I-5 Computers!! I know I will be back....have a laptop that needs a tune up!! Great customer service - and great service overall !!! - when they take your order they make you feel like "you're in good hands" - well,...I mean your computer is in for a good treat. I also felt I've learned a lot from this experience after I was explained the difference between SSDs (Solid State Drives) and HDDs (regular, traditional hard drives) - and was walked through the advantages and disadvantage of both in order to help me decide which one would be a better choice to replace the bad Hard Drive for my laptop. My laptop runs great now - faster than ever! I was very pleased with their service. I will tell everyone I know to bring their computers for repair here. I was scammed by an online company that wanted to fix my computer for 500 dollars, I said I can't afford that, so they said, we can do it for 175.00 and with anti virus for one year. Needless to say i was upset. So I took it to I-5 computers. When I walked in Darren stepped up to help me. He said it wasn't a major problem, and explained to me how these scammers work. I-5 Computers is everything you'd expect from a small business. The technicians are reasonable, fair-minded professionals who I'm happy to have in my neighborhood. When I took my laptop in for repairs, a misunderstanding occurred and they ended up fixing more than I anticipated; however, they did what few businesses do - they accepted responsibility and only asked me to compensate them for what I originally asked for. It felt like we were starting a solid working relationship - and I'll surely need this as my computer keeps doing its best to exit this world. Darren was soooo friendly and took time to answer my questions and clearly explained to this 72 year lady so that I understood. He stayed past closing time and didn't charge me a penny. I dropped off my tablet at this outfit. It would boot up for a few seconds, then die. Diagnosis: bad motherboard. They repaired it for $420 by replacing the motherboard. It worked well for 2 weeks, then the same thing happened. I returned it to get repaired under warranty. They replaced it with another motherboard......and charged me another $420. Insane. I had to argue them to give me a discount. For that money, I could have received a new tablet. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. RIP OFF. read more

I bought my laptop from I 5 computers a couple of years ago. When it decided to just stop working I thought I had lost all my work and picture that were on the computer.
