If I could give this company a negative rating, I would. First of all, our floor installation was delayed by over a month. Then the installer came out (the third-party installer was great), removed our carpet and send pictures to corporate. HOM solutions decided that the project was too much for them to handle because the floor required leveling and cancelled the job! We are left with ripped out carpet and nails/tacks sticking out... basically the house is not usable! I will be reporting them to the BBB. It looks like this company had lots of negative reviews awhile ago, but I had a great experience with them. Home depot made errors (they were supposed to send plumber to remove toilet, failed, they sent baseboard I didn't need/want, trying to get refund etc). Hire your own installer for flooring, do not use hom solutions (they are the default installer when working with Home Depot). Two whole weeks of phone tag, never picking up their phone. We get the product. The crew comes, they were great, and pulls up the carpet. There's linoleum under the carpet. There are concerns for asbestos under the linoleum which is fair. I have an environmental scientist take a look and he says the linoleum is thin enough, he would recommend just putting flooring over it. The company says no it's curled up (it's not, it's totally flat) and they won't go over it. It's not worth the time, money, effort to test and pull up the linoleum. So I guess I'll do it myself. Do not use hom solutions. They do not have skills to troubleshoot basic problems. read more

First off, the work quality was excellent and the installer was nice and professional. This review is for the company/corporate, which overloaded the installer with too many jobs the day of my install, resulting in him arriving 3 hours past the window they gave me (with no notice or heads up), and the installer working at my house until 1230am. As a result I was exhausted the next day as I normally go to bed at 930pm. He also wasn't able to haul away the entire old carpet, which was left outside as it had been involved in a flood but had fully dried before it snowed that day. Had they hauled the carpet during the install window, they would have been able to cut and haul it away without any problem. I requested they return to get the rest of the old carpet and they declined. I then requested a $100 store credit which was also declined. Not sure I would use them again given this experience. read more

The only mishap I really had with HOM is that I did not receive the text message the day before to confirm my installation and provide me with my install window. I called HOM at 9am and Angie returned my call within the hour to let me know that my install window was between 12pm-2pm appologized for me not receiving the text message and said she would escalate with their IT department. Jorge called me at 1:30pm to let me know he would arrive in 25 minutes, and he did. He and his helper were fantastic, very careful with my furniture. I live in a smaller place but they were very creative on how to get furniture from one room to the other. While I was waiting I went down the rabbit hole of 1 star reviews so I was nervous. But I can tell you I can not be any happier! Thank you Home Depot and HOM for delivering a stress free experience, I am very satisfied! read more

I had old tile floor removed and new vinyl plank installed in my hallway, office and kitchen. The installation team was really good. They were quick and did a beautiful job. The lead installer convinced me to not replace a section of floor in my laundry room since he felt that vinyl would create problems, which resulted in me saving a few dollars on my new floor and avoiding a future problem. I was actually surprised at how fast they were, and the quality of the installation work was great. I am glad I got the installation team I got...since that can make all the difference between a great or terrible experience. I am only giving 4 stars now because when I had the rest of my condo floors replaced by HOM 4 years ago I had to "fire" the first crew they sent because they seemed to not know what they were doing. We had no idea when we bought carpet and flooring from Home Depot that we were stuck with this unprofessional middleman company. You pay in full and are stuck with them with no chance to back out. You are at their mercy to get on the schedule. All they would say is that's the customers responsibility. Numerous phone calls to them and they were always rude! They require an asbestosis test, with no help on how to hire a company for this. Ridiculous, the house is less than 20 years old. They want to upcharge you for everything . We purchased new carpet through Home Depot and HOM Solutions contracts with them to install in our area. Overall, everything went fabulously and we're considering them for additional flooring projects. It's 2021 and there are lots of supply shortages, but HOM Solutions gave me a direct number to my service support person and she was great - even calling on a Saturday to confirm dates! When install day came, the installing crew called early to let us know they'd be here shortly and were polite, friendly, clean, and extremely skilled and hard workers. Before they started they checked they brought the right carpet. They removed all of the existing carpet and laid new carpet from about 9:30a-3p, not stopping for lunch. They did a WONDERFUL job and vacuumed and swept up behind themselves. They went above and beyond in letting my 4yo daughter watch the process and chatted with her. Also a customer service rep from HOM solutions stopped by to ensure everything was going well and make sure the installers had everything they needed. The carpet looks and feels fantastic! Purchased the carpet from Home-depot because the free installation and that's where the nightmare occurred. 2 customer representative tried argue with me while it's completely their fault, funny. 1. The installation done poorly with all the seems and bumps, initially they told us it's normal until I escalated the issue. They sent a quality guy and confirmed all the carpet will need to be replaced. Ya, no apology no compensation just simply wasting my time. 2. They damaged my stairs and said it's normal at the begining too. 3. We were paired up with them through Home Depot to do a floor remodel. When they arrived, they said they would not do the job because there was water damage and mold. This was not the case at all in our bathroom as the only water on the floor was due to us removing the toilet before they arrived, and after checking the wood, there is NO mold. Because of what we were told to do, partly by Home Depot, and what this company said when they arrived, we are left with a bathroom that is non-functional. Walked out on a flooring installation job because they "didn't want to damage the piping to radiator by touching it with a trowel." -- If their sub was going to damage a copper pipe with a trowel, I guess I should be concerned about what they were going to do to my walls with that trowel... I wish I had read and paid attention to these bad reviews when booking carpet installation through Home Depot. The installers not only arrived hours later than the scheduled installation window, they incurred damage to my home and refused to accept responsibility, like other reviewers have already noted. During the job, they tripped the breaker for one of the rooms they were working in. They reset the breaker multiple times while working (I could tell because my Internet router was plugged into that circuit), but at some point the breaker became stuck in a permanently tripped state. To make matters worse, the crew could not answer any of my questions due to a severe language barrier (I don't speak Spanish). I believe any chance of determining exactly how they damaged my system disappeared when the crew left my house. I also believe any company that respects it's customers would attempt to make it right. However, they brusquely denied my claim outright, blaming my home's electrical system and denying any culpability. Any company that sets a foot in customers' homes needs to prioritize and respect the property of the customer, going out of the way to compensate damages. This company appears to be the opposite -- believing that there will be no consequences for damages caused either directly or indirectly. They did not resolve my issue, and said manager is also ignoring my calls, despite being promised a gift card by another representative. So, not only was the contract unfulfilled and not only am I missing a $200 Bluetooth speaker, I was also promised something that was never given to me. Horrifically disgusting business practices to ignore your customers after they have complaints and concerns regarding a multiple thousand dollar installation and how it was handled/completed. There's a reason why this company has less than 2 stars on EVERY platform you check: Yelp, Google, Better Business Bureau, etc. I find it incredible that Home Depot continues to contract with this company, despite the clear issues they cause. Installers did not remove all old carpeting as contracted/promised. Many spots near doorframes or stairs where staples are sticking out and will stab you in the feet if you aren't careful. My $200 Bluetooth speaker went missing the same day the installers were here and cannot be found. Installers drank beverages from my fridge without permission. I have sent numerous emails and called the representative handling my order, and I am not receiving responses. A short version of my experience: The whole process took 2.5 months We went to Home Depot selected floors scheduled the measure, so far so good. Got the email the estimate was ready, it was incorrect. A handful of calls and another trip to Home Depot, we got the correct quote. Bought the floors June 27, they arrived July 3. HOM SOLUTIONS contacted me to set up the install, it took 13 phone calls and numerous emails to get scheduled The installers couldn't schedule us til Aug 2. Fine, whatever, I'm home and super flexible. They say they move furniture, but they will send and email with what they will move and how to set it up. Fine. We don't have much for them to move except a chair, couch, area rug, and small bookcase. Aug 2 came the installer no showed no called. The company was impossible to deal with. They lied and lied said they were sending someone out, again, no show. FINALLY someone showed up at my house at 5pm opened ALL the product boxes, said he had no intention of doing the work and left. HOM SOLUTIONS was no help and said they could reschedule me for Aug 31st another trip to Home Depot, and they were able to talk to HOM Solutions, and scheduled another installer came out the following week. Again no call no show They sent yet another person, who showed up said it was a Two person job, which was in the notes from the first guy, he left to get help. He came back with two people, great! Except now they demo'd my floors said they couldn't complete the job and left. ** there's a lot more to this story ** but I will tell you this I STILL do not have floors installed. It's September 7. HOM solutions is now refusing to do the work, because I complained, and won't even schedule me until the end of October. The manager of HOM Solutions told me to find someone else to do the job. Going on 7 weeks since payment and no carpet... the first time my job was postponed, it was Home Depot's fault for measuring wrong. The second time, hom solutions called two hours before the job to tell us they didn't have any installers available- WTF. I can't just keep taking days off and clearing 3 bedrooms worth of stuff out just to hope they actually come. Thankfully I was able to cancel the job and get a refund. I hired Weaver Carpets in Lakewood, they came out within an hour of calling and gave me a quote for the same price and same carpet with a lead time of only one week!! And they have all 5 star reviews!! Judging from over 100 1-star reviews for Hom Solutions I doubt I'm about to let them touch any project in my house. Reading their reviews just makes a homeowner feel sick! Maybe it's better that they didn't do the job at all then to have wall damage, ugly seams, or other horror stories... Updated in response to the comment from Hom Solutions: no, this project was not impacted by your Covid protocols. The installer called out for the day with an emergency is what they told me, and with no concern whatsoever. I was told a manager by the name of Christina would be in contact with me, and she never called. And it's also inaccurate that the other company has one review in two years- a simple search on Yelp shows over 50 5-star reviews plus their actual response time and professionalism while they were at my house, versus the professionalism I've experienced with several people at hom solutions, is a night and day difference. Installer arrived right on time and we verified the product(carpet) was correct and they explained how the install would go. Went right to work and finished up promptly. Wish I could give zero stars. Worst customer experience experience of my life. They have a policy of not answering phones. You can call a million times and never get through. They will call you back whenever they want; and it WON"T be in a timely manner. You will spend hours on the phone the days go install because the company hasn't clearly explained to the installer what to do and no one has any idea what is going on. They say it is routine to cut your carpet outside - in my case in a parking lot that is EXTREMELY dirty, tons of leaves, dog piss and puddles. They don't have plastic or tarp they just want to unroll your carpet right on the ground and cut. I got to spend another hour trying to explain that's unacceptable and I had to go buy plastic to lay down. Then they damage your walls when ripping out your old carpet. Apparently (according to the warranty department) if your wall has ever been painted then that paint sticks to the old carpet and rips off the paint and drywall- even if you paid $$$ to a professional painting company that took measures to protect your carpet, that's their story and they stick to it. They have no responsibility for it and will not repair it. They also won't warn you this will happen. Literally the worst experience form the very start to the bitter end. I will NEVER use them again or let anyone I know use them. Hopefully they are out of business very soon. Home Depot needs to do better and use a reputable company for their flooring install. We ended up needing our carpet completely reinstalled (due to a product defect from Home Depot, no fault of Hom Solutions). Throughout both installations the communication was fantastic (thanks specifically to Paige!). So here's my review from Google: --------- I will not be using Home Depot again because of lengthy delays and poor communication and lack of customer service by HomSolutions. Three people were from this organization were involved in scheduling and working with two different installers. Their was a delay because HomSolutions would not accept results of an asbestos test from a vendor list they provided to Home Depot. Months later, when we were finally scheduled, installer #1 walked off the job due to subfloor issues in one section of the install area--understandable. We asked if the stairway and foyer could at least be installed. The customer side HomSolutions representative worked with Home Depot to make this happen. The installer side coordinator rejected the solution. Installer #2 installed the stair treads, but not the foyer. Customer side representative contacted me to resolve this....blatant omission. Thought we were set. Then the installer side coordinator rejected the continuation of the project saying that they "abandoned" the install of the foyer based on the pictures from the first installer. Pictures that had nothing to do with the foyer. Leaving the job incomplete while installer #2 was on site and ready to proceed with the solution customer side representative worked out. The customer side representative tried. So the company gets one star. Installer side coordinator and her "management team" gets minus five stars for failing to move the project forward with the installer on site who was ready to do the job. Not Home Depot's fault. Sorry Home Depot, you have just lost a long term customer that has spent tens of thousands of dollars in home projects at your store. Listen to your customers, and drop HomSolutions. I engaged with Hom Solutions as an install partner for my Home Depot flooring installation and was terribly disappointed. The installers were at least honest and notified me of a subfloor issue that prevented them from continuing with the installation. The installers were not, however, good about Covid requirements - the two of them entered my home WITHOUT masks on, never mentioned any sanitizing protocols, despite my having spent 5-10 minutes covering Covid protocols with the scheduler. After a spittle-filled run-through of my home, the installers kicked it over to the scheduler to sort out next steps. The scheduler was impossible to reach; I called the location and her extension ~25 times the next day and never got through to a person. They were also unable to be reached by Home Depot. This gave me ZERO confidence in them doing the installation after I complete subfloor fixes, so I have cancelled my order entirely. Working with this company through Home Depot it has been been plagued with issues in order to install a backsplash. This company can't handle the high demand. 6 phone calls to make the initial appointment. Unable to leave a voicemail of the person in charge of my account because it was full the times I tried to contact her. Had to wait more than a month to get the service that was paid in advance. No communication about buying the materials. I was the one who had to find out I needed to do it. To many "If this or that...then we will charge you more" after I already made the expense at Home Depot. Making me distrust the capabilities of the installers when one of the team came to take measurements and witness the state of the kitchen. The day comes of the installation to be canceled. (Today) The lady in charge of my account did not communicate with the installer about the status of my materials? And the installation had to be moved for tomorrow. Pure frustration since the beginning. Ok! The installer came His name is Luis. He mentioned that the person in charge of my account was new at the job. He came on time both days and the job he did it was fantastic. The backsplash was installed with no problems. It looks beautiful. He was very professional. Very poor experience with HOM Solutions(HS). We wanted carpet installed in a rental property. An install was scheduled. Exiting tenants were reimbursed rent for the days they moved out early. We rearranged 4 days of our schedule to be at the install. We prepared the house for the install, and prepared to do the work required after the install. New tenants scheduled their move-in around the carpet install date. The evening before the install, Erica called and rudely informed me that the install for the next morning was cancelled. I noted all the people involved, their time, their plans and she had not a care. We reluctantly scheduled a 9AM sharp arrival for Sat/3 days later, given Erica's "take it or leave it". Tenants and ourselves rescheduled our lives, again. We would no longer be in town, so a tenant offered to be there for the install. Erica said she would give the installer the tenants info so they could call on their way to install. The installer called me, at 9:20AM, and said he was 30 minutes out. He arrived shortly after 10(an hr later than Erica adamantly ensured). The tenant had to call another tenant to come wait for the late installer, as he had to go to work. The installer did not put the closet shelving back properly. The tenant pointed out and asked the installer to clean the white scuff marks made by the doors the installer drug across the laminate flooring. The installer acknowledged the marks, but did NOT clean off. The tenant did. The installer did not leave large remnant pieces of carpet, as requested. I called HS(Cindy 2x, Erica 2x and the installer 2x) when the installer was late and when the problems arose. Not one of my calls was returned, until Tues/3 days later. My husband spent 7hours the day after the carpet installation (returned to FC, installed the closet shelving properly, and trimmed 10 doors that Erica ensured HS/even herself would do). When Erica returned my calls, 3 days after the install issues, she was rude, unapologetic, accused me of lying instead of admitting that HS was grossly incompetent in their internal communications, and unwilling to acknowledge any wrong doing. Zero on customer service. No apology, no carpet remnants, nothing. Taryn, FC HOM Solutions reginal manager called me 4 days after the install, was slightly sympathetic, didn't take responsibility for HS's gross incompetence, and left us yet again feeling unheard, disrespected, and thoroughly dissatisfied. In the end, we paid a lot of money, spent a lot of time doing what HS said they would do, rescheduled multiple times all because of HS's problems, and experienced way too much grief! This is the worst service experience I have had in years. I have been trying to contact the Service Lead in the past 2 weeks but have always got an automatic reply on the phone listed. I have also scheduled to receive a phone call from the same Service Lead but was never called (even though it was confirmed through e-mail). It has been 2 weeks now that I have been trying to establish a communication with this company but have failed to do so. Because of this all my other projects were delayed. First off, I would have given a five if my experience was only with the installers, Santiago and Mike on the laminate and Adrian on the carpet. They knew what they were doing and went right to work. I don't think any of them stopped for lunch. Adrian stayed until late in the evening (with our permission of course) to complete the job. We were very impressed with these three installers. The work was done extremely well and items agreed upon were back in place, the floor clean and every bit of debris cleaned up and hauled away. Hom Solutions replaced three levels of carpeting in our cabin in Telluride, Colorado. This was NOT an easy job, because the spaces are tight and stairs are always a challenge. The installers were professional, caring, kind and very skilled. They clearly cared about doing a good job -- and the results show that they succeeded. They were contracted by Home Depot to install my 2 security doors. I'll make this as brief as I can: -managed to install one door and deadbolt successfully. But failed to properly file/grind the hole the deadbolt slides into, making it very hard to lock and unlock the door -installed door number two, but claimed the deadbolt for that door was defective so he couldn't install it. I took the deadbolt back to the locksmith, and it was perfectly fine. The guy installing it was the one with the issue. -installer managed to lose/take one of two very important screws for the deadbolt. I can't find a suitable replacement from the hardware store, and I have to order it from the lock manufacturer- who does not sell to individuals. So that's been fun. -left screws scattered across my driveway -installed the door handle with the screws facing the outside of the home Never use these people. DO NOT WORK WITH HOM SOLUTIONS We purchased carpet 12/29/2020 First set of installers came out on 01/19/2021 started the job and said they would be back First Installers came back out again that week but had to leave before finishing the job and said they would be back out on 01/26/2021 @ 8am to finish the job, they texted my husband around 10am saying they wouldn't be able to make it. HOM Solutions sent out a 2nd set of installers on 01/26/2021 to finish the job, these installers advised us the carpet had to be completely torn up and redone because it was so poorly done. We had the carpet reordered to have it reinstalled. The 2nd installers were supposed to come on 02/22/2021 to reinstall, no one showed up and no one called me, I reach out to HOM Solutions and Home Depot. They said the installers had a fever so they would have to come back out on 03/01/2021 - again no one showed up and no one called me. After reaching HOM Solutions I was told the installers had car troubles. On 03/01/2021 I called Home Depot and said I wanted to call the whole thing off, I was tired of taking apart furniture and moving everything out of their way. The next day the installers and HOM Solutions called me multiple times and begged to come out and do the job so I said fine but I really wanted it to be the last time and get it completed. The installers came out 03/02/2021 and did one room and left and said they would return tomorrow 03/03/2021 the installers came for a few minutes and left without saying one word to me that they were leaving. I called HOM Solutions over and over again and I texted the installer asking where they went and when they were coming back. The installer texted me back almost an hour later saying "I'm just finishing a job to give you time to move personal items, clothing, boxes, children's toys ect. Home depot doesn't pay me to move personal items. I need both rooms cleared of personal items please is that okay with you?" They should have told me the night before what was in their way OR BEFORE THEY LEFT. HOM Solutions then called me and said "they had another job to do that's why they left" then HOM Solutions emailed me saying the installers truck was in the shop so they would not be coming back on 03/03/2021 but would be back 03/04/2021 to finish. (on this day 03/03/2021 I also confirmed with them they would be doing the loft in one of our bedrooms and they said of course no problem) 03/04/2021 the installers showed up to finish the job, AGAIN they left without saying one single word to me, they did NOT do the loft in the bedroom, they left all the old carpet on our deck and garbage from their tools. They also left my back door wide open and didn't put furniture back that could have gone back in its place. 03/04/2021 I reached out to HOM Solutions Regional Service Manager who did not seem to care that his installers left without completing the job or saying one word to me, I was blamed for having my "personal items" in the way. I told him the installers had multiple opportunities to let me know what they could and could not move. He had no excuse as to why his installers left the carpet and trash on my back deck. HOM Solutions trying to blame me for the complete lack of professionalism and communication has to be the biggest slap in the face here. I looked up HOM Solutions on BBB and they have TONS of instances like mine. read more

Do not do business with HOM Solutions !!! They did a botch flooring install in two of my bathrooms and laundry room. Their installer glued down a click laminate flooring which caused the floor to buckle throughout and also voided the warranty of the product. He even glued and nailed wood baseboards to my tile tub and glued and nailed a wooden quarter round on the base of my shower. Also, he put glue on my kitchen hardwood floor when he glued the transition stick in the laundry room. As evident of the pictures, you can see the poor workmanship that you will receive from this company. Also, they have no integrity, will not compensate you for damages, and will run away from their responsibilities by ghosting you. Worst craftsmanship and customer service EVER!!! read more

The WORST experience EVER regarding home improvement company. I cannot believe Home Depot would recommend this company for installs. The first installer they sent swindled us out of $100.00 stating that "if we pay him cash we would not need to go through Home Depot to address the issue, it would only delay the install." The language the installer used was totally offensive and our seven year old son could hear everything that he was yelling while installing the floor. The workmanship was horrible (massive gaps on 1/4 round, flooring was uneven, and left nails, staples, and debris all over our garage and interior. HŌM Solutions, Inc. promises the world and they refuse to return calls. It took 5 months from start to finish (warranty work included), and when I tried to get our $100.00 back (after being promised once the warranty work was completed) they have not returned one call. 4/13/22: Left voicemail asking for a call back (No call back) 4/14/22: I called back again, spoke with the same customer service rep and she said she would call me back on 4/18/22 (No Call Back). 4/25/22: Left another voicemail asking for a call back (No call back) 5/5/22: Left another voicemail asking for a call back How does this company continue to do this and stay in business? In fact, Home Depot never gave us an opportunity to choose an installer, they just assign a company that has had a history of negative reviews. And, if you go to the HŌM Solutions, Inc. website they post 11 positive reviews, where are all the other reviews found on Yelp? I sure hope people do their homework before letting this company, or its employees into their homes. read more
