EDIT: I originally gave this hotel two stars but after I left ... Just a by the way, I only used my credit card at this hotel my entire trip. Everywhere else I used debit or cash... And today I found out thousands were attempted to be used off my credit card. This hotel has a bunch of thieves and scammers as staff. Don't stay here. Hotel is two stars worthy but unless you want to be robbed....
I am currently on a 25 day trip around Europe, staying in 3 and 4 star hotels. I (for the most part) pre paid for my hotels through expedia, and expected small rooms with the basic amenities near nice shops/beaches/etc... So far, everywhere has met my expectations and more.... Especially as seeing as I'm paying minimum 130 per night every place but the Windsor is atrocious.
I came under the impression I had pre paid, and upon my confirming, rather than the concierge simply clearing up I hadnt, they were beyond rude. They took my fiancée and I to our room, which was possibly smaller than a walk in closet. We were told it was an extra large suite upon reservation.
When we returned, sweaty from adventuring from our day, we discovered the AC was broken and went to shower. The shower was a hurricane that flooded the entire bathroom. Granted, the bathroom was maybe big enough to squish to pee/squirm into the shower.. But Nontheless, now a flooded little corned of my closet room. I went down for a beverage and it took 35 minutes to be served although I was the only person down there...
In addition, on day two, we came back expecting a cleaned room (as it's a hotel and people usually come make beds, straighten towels... Etc..) ... I guess you can say our bed was made? Our towels were still drenched on the flooded bathroom floor and the room may actually have looked worse than we left it because our "flower" had pelted and leaves were everywhere.
Needless to say, for 165 a night, I will not be returning. The only reason it has two stars was because it is really close to the ocean and the train! read more
