This charming, lovely hotel is located in the first arrondissement, which is closest to the Paris city center. I walked to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Arc de Triumph. If you get tired, just jump on any metro, or get a taxi. The people working at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. They try very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you are able, get the breakfast. It is only €14, and has quite a variety, with something for everyone. The Chatelet Metro station is just steps away from the hotel. You can go anywhere in Paris on the metro, and you could also catch the RER B train back to Charles de Gaulle Airport. I highly recommend that you give Hotel Britannique a try! You will not regret it.

They have an elevator, but remember you're in a building older than a century and in Paris. So it was tiny. The staircase is beautiful.

Love this place! I have been back to Paris since I stayed in 2017 and I regret staying at another hotel. The rooms are small, but you're in Paris and any hotel room size is going to be tiny. You're close to so many shops and restaurants and night life. Book it!!

My boyfriend booked us into this hotel to celebrate our anniversary and what a lovely choice it was. The hotel is situated in a great place, a short walk from the Louvre, Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle. From the river you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Pont des Arts, the Love lock bridge is two bridges away, It's close to the metro and a main train stataion that gets you anywhere. Public transport heaven. one street away from the Seine, across the river from Île de la Cité, restaurants, shopping, theatres, great bakery around the corner, a wonderful gift shop next door and a fab tea shop on the corner. I could go on but I think you get the general idea! Oh they also have a bike rental stand in the same street. Being a tourist in Paris is a real killer on the feet, so I was just so happy with the location of this quaint little hotel plus it ironically reminded me of England LOL. The service during our stay was just wonderful. The staff were friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. They had a nice stash of umbrellas for the guests to use as it rained most of the weekend. You can buy tickets at the front desk for the Louvre, there is a €2 surcharge but totally worth it to avoid the queues. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. They are a little on the small side but that's a norm in Paris. It was more than adequate for our needs. We were on the go constantly so really used it to sleep in :) The beds were so comfortable and you had various lighting options. There were even two sets of bedside lamps to choose from! Lots of power points, safe, lots of coat hangers, kettle, fridge. Internet isfree throughout the hotel. The rooms were a great temperature at night. The black out blinds are also great, I need a set for home! The toilet and shower room was very clean but cramped in the way of getting in and out of it! Still rather have a clean bathroom with a great shower with a constant stream of hot water and a hair dryer than a huge bathroom which is musty or has the wrong water pressure and flucuating temperature, we've all experienced those on our travels. The cleaners are fast we kept popping in and out and the room was miraculously cleaned each time even when we just went around the corner to the bakery! A lovely old English country style lounge, with huge comfy sofas, armchairs and chesterfields. You could charge your phones here. Really can't grumble. Quiet street despite it's location. I was on floor near reception but didn't hear too much noise, probably because we came back late a lot. You do hear the next room occasionally. No one complained when we had the TV on. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Quite sad to leave to be honest :)

Very comfortable and cozy for your stay in Paris. Rooms are compact, average size for Europe, clean and the staff was attentive.

Although I had a rear side room, so no view of the street, I was very happy with it. The windows were able to open to the other building however you could have coffee by the window and the room was incredibly private. The blackout curtains were a game changer too! I slept peacefully each night and although the rooms aren't large, they use every inch of the space and was very well planned out. The breakfast was actually one of my favorite parts about being here. You are able to have breakfast in your room or downstairs in the breakfast room. The breakfast rooms decor was lovely and I looked forward to my breakfast every morning! Highly recommend, the staff is lovely and the hotel is clean and my favorite small hotel I have stayed at thus far in Paris. The location is awesome, there are many places to eat and shop (must go vintage shopping while in the area as well).

We had a double room with a small balcony that faced the street. It was perfect in every way. The employees were so kind and helpful and spoke beautiful English to our sad French (but we tried!). We did 4 days in Paris and 4 days in the Loire Valley, returning to Paris for our last night. After staying here during the first part of our trip, I cancelled our 2nd Paris hotel and rebooked this one for our last night. It was that perfect. We can't wait to return and without question we will stay here again. Many thanks to the staff at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais for making our stay so lovely.

After a lot of researching and back and forth I selected Hotel Diana for my 4 night stay in Paris…read more I booked directly through their website which was super easy. I selected the queen size bed room - my close friend selected the full size bed room. We arrived in the early evening and check in was quick. Fortunately the lift /elevator was working as we had a lot of luggage it all fit as well as myself . The room was small and basic, which I expected being in downtown Paris. The bathroom was simple with a bathtub shower combo. The bed was comfortable and there was a working a/c however it didn't really get the room super cold but kept it comfortable for summer. Fortunately the heat wave was over by the time we arrived. Tne bathroom did get very warm if you were styling your hair or doing your makeup. I would suggest bringing a small portable fan with you if coming in tne summer . The location is the selling point of this hotel. Walking distance to so many cute restaurants and cafes. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and the Sienne River. Felt perfectly safe walking around day or night even solo. Usually there were young men working the front desk. They were always polite however I wish they were able to provide a little more suggestions where to go or how to get around for a first time visitor. Great budget hotel in the 5th.

The room that we had was relatively spacious, with a double bed and some room to move around. The mattress was very comfortable and linens were perfectly clean (no gross bed covering that you typically find in hotels). There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub (a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street (this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It's in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport (station St.Michele) Plus, I haven't even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Heated mirror in the restroom and the HVAC was good. Comfortable bed. Service was friendly - excellent welcome by Floridita (I may have her name wrong) but she gave us a tour of the important areas of the hotel when we arrived and consistently greeted us every day when she saw us. Maid service and turn down services were also friendly as were the bellmen. Only negatives: our room faced the direction of the Louvre and on Friday night there were street performers singing until close to 1am. Wasn't a problem on the other nights. Also, Brasserie du Louvre, the fancy restaurant in the hotel, was a disappointment. Overall though we would stay there again next trip.

Our bedroom was spacious, the bed nice and perfectly made, the bathroom was also beautifully decorated, and comfortable with good products. We stayed a week, the room rates are steep, but for the lovely rooms, amenities and location it receives 3 full marks, the 4th star was the service team at L'officine that single-handedly made me reconsider and ultimately saved them from a lower " grade ". We had an unfortunate incident with the concierge service, whose staff member was not interested in giving us specific instructions. They were dismissive of my husband (who doesn't speak French) when he asked for directions to the bank for foreign exchange. I had to return to the hotel and speak to her directly in French to get results. We were, for the most part, impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff at their bar, as I mentioned above they were the reason I found all their front of the house redeeming qualities I'm not sure if I will stay here or try a different hotel- jury is out. For certain, I'll go back to their lovely bar.
