We called after being referred by a neighbor who had their system cleaned by this company. My husband and son saw mold in our Mitsubishi splits and were very concerned. Also, the A/C in our bedroom made a noise I found annoying the installer said it was normal and after we paid for his wife to clean our system, the flapping noise persisted. I called and spoke with Sam, the owner about the price to clean the 4 splits & 2 compressors. It was higher than competitors but sounded like it was more thorough so we agreed on it and a time and date. Micah and his younger brother, Cash were prompt and very professional. The promptly looked at the compressors and had a quick look at the inside units and then started cleaning the compressors very thoroughly. Micah then proceeded to clean each split, and happily explained everything he was doing along the way. He asked if we wanted to dispose of the water and junk from cleaning the splits in the toilet but we requested they pour it in the dirt in the yard instead. Micah and Cash were very neat and thorough. The units have never been cleaner (or colder). We were very pleased with their great work and how cheery and professional they were. We highly recommend this company and will use them for our future needs and maybe will clean every 6 months instead of just once/year. I give this company a 5 star rating because they were prompt, courteous, friendly, and efficient! The employees arrived on time and were very friendly. They explained how their machine worked and how it used cleaning solution to clean the ACs. They also gave an estimate on how long it might take. They went to each room and made sure each AC unit was cleaned thoroughly by re-checking their work. They showed us what was removed from the AC units which looked like black liquid but probably contained dirt, dust, pollen, dander, mold, fungi, chemical pollutants, viruses, bacteria, etc. I would say it took about 30 minutes to thoroughly clean each AC unit. Compared to about 10 other companies that I called where they have to take apart the AC unit. After taking it apart they just wipe down the coils NOT the blower wheel, this taking 2-3 hours per unit. Ideally, air conditioning cleaning should be performed 1-2x a year so I'm happy I finally cleaned my ACs, it's been way too long. This machine they used cleaned the ACs so good it looked brand new as when we first bought them. For a little bit more you get what you pay for and your peace of mind and health is priceless. I called around for estimates and didn't get good responses. I saw the HydroKleen808 TV commercial and then looked them up. I called to get an estimate. i called to inquire about cost to clean a mitsubishi 24k split unit after seeing their ads on TV. I was quoted between $1800-2500 per unit. I initially thought they were joking with this price & asked again. Nope that what they charge per unit. I paid $2500 for this mitsubishi split unit including installation when i purchased it originally. Why would i pay almost the cost of an entire new AC unit just to get my clean. I contacted Hydrokleen for the cleaning of a single split AC unit. They communicated well and were professional. They appeared to be knowledgeable and opened up my system and showed me all the gunk that had accumulated on the fan and filters. Hydrokleen's system is a pressure washer that sprays a mix of water and cleaning solution into your AC unit to clean out all the gunk. They temporarily attach a bag beneath your AC unit to collect the water. They also clean the outside unit. The reason for the 2-star review is their price. They quoted me over $2k for a single unit because they said my unit was especially dirty. This was ridiculously high because I paid less than $5k for the entire system. My system is supposed to be cleaned annually, so it would be cheaper to replace the entire system than use Hydrokleen for two years. I wish they had told me a ballpark over the phone, so we wouldn't have wasted each other's time. After contacting Hydrokleen, I shopped around a bit and found another company for $150. To be clear, I didn't use HydroKleen, so I can't speak to the quality of their service. I just recommend that you shop around. The HydroKleen person made a big deal out of the gunk in my system, but I think this is mostly just a sales pitch to get you to pay an exorbitantly high price. They also talk a lot about their special equipment, but the company I ended up using had very similar equipment and they cleaned out all of the gunk that Hydrokleen had pointed out for less than 10% of what HydroKleen quoted. read more

Nice guy and great work but the one star is for the amount I was charged, and how upsetting it was to be convinced by him telling me he's not about the money. Read on if you like to know my full experience with HydroKleen808. I called HydroKleen808 because 1) I needed my AC units cleaned and 2) two of my indoor units (I have a multi zone split system) was not cooling. He said he can to have a look and let me know if it looks repairable before planing any cleaning . A couple of days later Sam was at my door with all his equipment. I showed him all the indoor units that are working and not working. Three of the indoor units link to one condenser and two of does units are the ones that's not working. After analyzing the units and calling his tech guy he was 100% sure the problem is the expansion valve in the condenser and that it was an easy fix. He still needs his tech guy to come have a look but he was %100 sure. During the time that he was analyzing the units he was telling me many things such as how the older AC are more durable and the new models don't last as long, how it will cost $20K~$30K to replace the AC's, how other companies cannot clean the units like they did, how other companies was losing business because of him. At this point it was pretty convincing to me that cleaning my AC's and replacing the expansion valve (easy fix) was the way to go. I should have waited since his tech guy had to swing by a couple of days later but after hearing everything Sam had to say I didn't think there was a reason to delay the cleaning. I was thinking to have him clean all, even the units not working, but decided wait with the ones not working. This is were I actually get to see what I'm paying for . . . He started with the indoor wall mount units by all the housing off. A bag for capturing water and draining it to a bucket is attached to the bottom of the units. He shoots water through the coils to clean all the built up dirt out. The water that goes through the coils drain down to the bag and in to the bucket below. The out door condensers was even easer, just shoot water through the coils. He had to put a bag under to capture the water but he did not have to remove any parts from the condenser. Total bill after 15% discount: 2 x AC Clean level 3 = $4,999 2 AC Condenser clean Level 3 = $1,999 Total with tax and all $6,230 If I clean all units I would have paid over $10 . . . This is where after math kicks and reality kicks in. A couple of day later his tech guy comes by to see what can be done with the condenser. He spends around 15 minutes analyzing the condenser then tells me this model is discontinued and they probably won't be able to find the part, and that's it's best to replace the system. It was a slap in the face since I just spent $3K to have this unit cleaned based on Sam's input "easy fix", I feel like this is something he could have said over the phone. The tech guy said he will let Sam know so I will hear from him. Same called to let me know he heard it was best to replace the units. He said if I have his guys replace the units I can deduct the cleaning cost from the cost of the new units. I asked him to give me a quote. A little later I received a quote of just over $20K to install new units but it was just one sum of $21K. I requested a breakdown of the cost but they did not have time to give me a break down. I decided to ask other companies before moving forward and found out it was going to cost me only around $10K to replace all the units in my place. Looking back now I see how this is just an over priced service, he did a great job in cleaning but definitely not worth the price. I basically paid the price of a full new multi zone AC unit to have my old one cleaned. You can buy all the needed equipment to clean your own AC's for few hundred dollars and find YouTube videos that show you how to deep clean. Even if it took a whole day to clean your AC you end up saving thousands in the end. I'm not going to tell you not to use Hydorcleen808, it's your choice, but knowing what I know now I will never pay to have my AC cleaned again. read more

Our AC unit was never cleaned from the day we got it (~2 years). We called Sam to setup an appointment to clean our AC unit. I'm glad we called HydroKleen808 because it was NASTY. There was debris build-up on the filters and the coils were covered in mold and grease. What a difference it made after HydroKleen808 came in to do the dirty work. None of us would have known how to clean the AC unit without having them come in. The service was fast -- almost 2 hours -- for a deep clean. They cleaned the indoor unit and outdoor power unit. After they washed down the AC unit coils and filters, they sprayed it with antibacterial solution. As a business owner myself I take a lot of pride in the work I do and Sam and his team operate in the same manner as I would my own. From the beginning, I was contacted promptly, scheduled a time that would accommodate my schedule and was given an estimate. We have 3 split a/c units in our home. We noticed that some items sitting under one of our units in the master bedroom was blowing out water and black debris after it was supposedly "cleaned". We saw the commercial for this company Hydroklean and liked what they had to say so we called them for a quote. They not only cleaned our units but they provided education on our units and why just cleaning the filters or vaccumming was not enough. We had no idea how bad our units were.
