Amazing amazing amazing!!! I had a birthday party at Hyde Beach and it was a BLAST! We had the largest cabana available, in the back of the last pool. Multiple bottles of magnum rose and champagne were ordered, as well as pitchers of strawberry mojitos. Our group, after a long night out the night before, also ordered a ton of food. The menu is by Chef Jose Andres and it all hit the spot: -Fresh fruit platter -Watermelon and tomato platter -Cuban sandwich sliders (FAV) -SLS burger -Sushi! Spicy tuna, salmon roll, rainbow roll -Crispy chicken salad We ordered multiple orders of all of the above. Miami Basic. Swung by here for "brunch" which is basically just Sunday Funday at the pool. We made a reservation ahead of time but the door guy said he didn't even check it and let us in...oh the games you play. I expected at least a little doucheyness but was surprised to find none! Our server was delightful and the door guys were chill. We ordered a pitcher of mojitos which were delicious but not even remotely strong. As expected, the drink prices were steeeeeeeeep ($18/glass, $80/pitcher, $200/vase). The pool was gorgeous and there was at least one bachelorette party there stirring things up. Be very careful with this place! I booked a table and the promoter, Dejo, told me what I was getting and sent photos of where we would be. When I showed up with 6 people, they gave us a bench (that would maybe fit 3 people) in the way back. Finally after a big hassle they moved us inside which wasn't great because we were in South Beach and wanted to be in the sun! The waitress was super nice, but never came back!! We ordered so many items that never came! Service was horrible!! Plus, they don't care because it's 20% included. They also charge a $100 resort fee...on top of the thousand dollar minimums.... The worst part of all was the women bathroom had poop overflowing out of the drains on the floor. Everyone was walking through it and spreading feces through the club and into the pool! No way this is sanitary or safe! Women were barefoot in the restroom!! Music stopped 1 or 2 times and I don't think the DJ knows what he's doing. Super small venue too...took elsewhere!! read more

This place is pretty. There are cabanas surrounding the pool and the DJ for the Saturday pool party was excellent. The drink prices were a bit outrageous, but I guess it's been a while since I've partied in my hometown. $18 is pretty expensive and they automatically add on gratuity. The vibe was awesome and it was not crowded, which is my style of pool partying. When the pool and the people in it look questionable, I tend not to like it. We had a ton of fun here, until it all came to an end because security guards targeted my friend in the bathroom and kicked her out. There were drunk people EVERYWHERE ...making out in the pool, pouring vodka all over, falling over, tripping over their own feet, but noooo, my friend clearly was out of her mind and needed to be physically removed from the pool party. This place is overpriced and not my style. I've been to WAAAAY better pool parties in Vegas or even Atlantic City for that matter. Pool was tiny and so overcrowded, it was disgusting. DJ wasn't all that impressive either. All in all we had a good time, but that means nothing because we could have had a good time sitting by ourselves on the sidewalk doing nothing. Place is okay. The girl servers in this establishment are not that pleasant even though 20% gratuity is always included. No one tries to make you feel welcomed or goes out of their way to be nice. They are in their own world, minding their own business, and we should be lucky to be there, that is the feeling I get in this place. Sat by the pool and ordered some food. First thing they said we each have to spend $50 in order to sit by the pool because we are not hotel guest, this was not done in a nice curtegeous manner. Came here the other night for Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano. What a great show! Hyde was amazing. The bartenders were friendly (drinks were a little pricey but expected in South Beach--$18 for Tito's and tonic). The ambience outside was amazing--the pool was half covered and a dance floor was installed. Crowd was great--very lively. There was plenty of room to dance and get right in front of the stage. I've seen bad service in Miami but this is definitely the worst I've ever seen. Our waitress "brinkley" was only taking care of 3 tables and couldn't get it together. We were a group of 5 and our order was relatively simple no modifications no mixed drinks etc. We received 2/5 orders about 30 mins after ordering then 20 mins later the 3rd then 30 mins later the 4th and finally an hr later they brought the 5th (a salad). The place wasn't packed and the waitress rarely showed up. She "highly recommended" everything on the menu and the manager only checked on us before the waitress even approached us and then we didn't see him again. Food taste was very basic portions were normal but everything was significantly overpriced for what we received. read more

My wife and I wanted to try it here since it's like any hard to get into South Beach club and we like a challenge. We saw a few people get the "Smell Ya Later," hand from the doorman but he was nice to us and we rolled right in. This is a visually stunning outdoor club with a lot going on. Overall, we had a pleasant visit here but DO be wary of the South Beach scam. One of the girls in our group was in touch with a promoter beforehand who said he could get us in without charge to sit at the "promoter's table". However, when we arrived at the door, they claimed not to know who this was, then let us know that the only tables they were doing were for bottle service only at a $1k minimum (plus tax and tip). In the end, we went for bottle service, but the 'table' was more like a small bench/ couch that could fit three people maybe. It was nice having our own area though, and there was at least enough room for 12 girls to stand around as we were coming and going. The table was kind of near the edge so I thought we would have a problem with foot traffic running into our area, but that wasn't an issue at all. We ended up getting two bottles with our table. The girl serving us was super fun and bubbly; she made our stay that much more pleasant! Too bad I can't remember her name... but, she always made sure to come around fairly often to see if we needed anything. The pool was OK in size and it never got too packed. Ordering from the cabana/ pool-side bar was a breeze. Decent music which kept us entertained and light-spirited, although nothing TOO energetic. read more

I purchased tickets for $100 dollars each and they did not let me, along with many other ticket holders into the event. They simply asked for a ransom price of $3000 for a table, so you can enter. I wound up paying $3000 and the party sucked. I don't even know why people come here. I also saw the manager, who was drunk, get into a fist fight with a paying customer. You have to be willing to spend money. We got a table for a $500 minimum spend. So it came with a bottle of grey goose for $450 and then we bought some food. With a group of 5 ladies we spent between $125-$170 a person depending on what was ordered.....we asked for a table up front closer to the pool and the group of guys they put in front of us spent the same amount we spent but......we made the best of it. Went here for a pool party with several friends about a year ago. It was okay. Nothing special really. You have to look your best and they basically judge you on your looks for your entrance fee lol. Most of time girls get in for free but at a point girls were being charged 150 and boys 200 each...pool was okay but way to many people to get in as expected. There is a beauty to the pretentiousness of Miami: leagues of twenty-somethings acting like they're adults. Maybe they have a job...maybe they don't. Rent is paid by daddy and the credit cards are linked to mom's account. Hyde fits so well in to that scene...but Hyde's magic "salt-air margarita" saves it from the likes of the fedora-sporting males and females who make my life miserable. And if that drink weren't enough to salvage Hyde, there's a list of drinks that can. The decor is unlike anything I've seen on Miami Beach. Very reminiscent of California-decor, but ironically nothing like Hyde in Los Angeles. Light, retro-mod, and airy...like the Brady Bunch's Malibu beach house circa 2012. I was one in a group of five and at midnight on a Saturday we had no problems grabbing a table and camping out for an hour or so. Light wood, plants, and an ocean breeze make a pleasant watering hole. People complain about the prices, but you get what you pay for. End of story. Downside? They closed at 2AM...so, yeah. mmm I'm wavering between whether I want to say I hate Hyde Beach or that I loathe it. Either way, it sucks. It is really easy to think you like it here, but in actuality there is zero fun to be had, it is just a packed room of pretentious south beach assholes sniffing each other's asses. As a girl, it is somewhat easy to get in without paying a cover, so that's a plus... however, free cover means having to let a grubby promoter rub on your ass and fighting for couch space in a sectioned off area where you are force fed vodka-crans like a caged [sexy] beast. The staff here is also extremely rude. The guys out front are actually pretty nice, but once you get past the ropes, everyone treats you like you just kicked a puppy or something. Bar staff naturally acts like they are doing you a favor and the security here is on par with the douches at LIV. I sat down on a reserved couch for one minute to fix my shoe and literally the second my bum hit the seat, security is in my face screaming at me to "get up!" Dancing? none. Maybe a handful of dudes bobbing their head to the music and a few girls grinding each other, but Hyde Beach is really not the dancing atmosphere, it is more a place to get dolled up and then just let yourself be seen. Yes, the SLS is beautiful and decorated all funky and the outside is super chic, but once you get past the photo op with the gigantic rubber ducky, Hyde Beach blows. read more

I had higher expectations of this place based on stories from friends and the reviews. The VIBE: 4 Stars - Door guys were actually very friendly, which is abnormal for clubby places. The setup and decor is pretty legit, although if you don't reserve a daybed/cabana, be prepared to stand a lot or not be by the pool itself. The music was very good, DJ knew what he was doing and wasn't anyone famous. Just a very solid playlist and the crowd liked it. NOTE: Be prepared for the lame "Champagne Entrances" every time someone wastes 1K to spray... The SERVICE: 1.5 Stars - Yikes. These people need a reality check. I get that most of them have probably been doing this awhile but they are either very jaded and sad people or so robotic-fake it hurts the vibe. Need a lot of improvement here. The DRINKS: 1 Star - $12 for a CAN beer, $11 for a Bottle of Water. Seriously. The Bottom Line - Overall....meh. Unless you have a rich friend who wants to dump a few grand on a cabana, look for other fun beach spots with (slightly) less expensive drinks and better servers. Hyde Beach is currently my favorite spot for a night out on the town in South Beach. The club is located at the back of the SLS property, just past the pool. They have both indoor and outdoor areas, with the only bar spanning the far wall inside. Tables line both sides of the indoor area, but there's a good amount of seating outside for the masses. Just watch out - when it rains (which happens frequently), everyone crowds under the small overhang, so you're bound to get wet, whether you're just coming in, or trying to maneuver to the restroom. Drink prices are typical South Beach - expect to spend $18-20 for a drink, with tax and gratuity automatically added on. Of course, they offer bottle service and all the fan-fare that comes along with it (scantily clad servers, sparklers, shouting). Not sure on prices, but I'd expect Hyde Beach is comparable to other establishments around town. The music selection is usually awesome, and perfect for dancing. They have a mini-dance floor near the DJ booth in the far corner of the club, but we usually just create our own dance party wherever we can carve out enough space. The doors are always open to the outside, so it can get quite warm inside Hyde Beach. There are a few a/c vents to stand under to try and catch a bit of cool air, but you're better off just stepping outside and sidling up to one of the many fans they have going. read more

This review is for the pool bar. I'm giving it some stars, because it was a fun, chill scene in a pretty atmosphere at night. However, it was here where I encountered the rudest bar tender. It started off good, as the bar tender quickly gave us cocktail menus. My friend and I both ordered the margarita off the menu. The bar tender came back with small salt rimmed glasses and proceeded to charge us $22 each. We were confused, because the menu said $16. He said the $16 one was smaller. 1. These glasses could not get any smaller. 2. I think the bar tender was pocketing $12 to himself 3. I definitely will not be returning. Went Saturday 8/13/16 general admission. No tickets as I could not see a way to purchase ahead a time but oh well. We were four dudes on a bachelor party (aged in early 30s) so I knew there would be a battle of some kind to gain admission. Had to wait 20 minutes or so while the doorman I was speaking with proposed a 500 min spend for the four of us plus a little something for him (think 20-25 a head). We accepted, went in and posted up in the pool by the bar on the right. We stuck to pitchers of their cocktails which were pretty good and Kenny the bartender was great. Vibe and people were decent but not as fun as Marquee in Vegas which was my other major pool party experience. The music was the downside of the experience as it was 90% remixed top 40. Personally if I'm paying this kind of money for a pool party I'd like to hear cutting edge house music. The crowd never got Vegas energized and remained the same even keel the whole time. Great escape from Manhattan back to my old stomping grounds, and I am happy to see the SLS up and running on Collins strip of beachfront glam. The thing about Miami is, you have to deal with a bunch of Miami-ans, which can be a great thing if they are your friends but are also generally a bunch of douchey, try-hard glam crowd. Which was what we were looking for, and it was fun. Perfect for a drink out and meeting good looking people, I was in-town for work. 4 drinks at the bar set me back $77, which is higher than most places in NYC except the nicer clubs like PHD or those at the Standard. I had a great time regardless, great for dancing. I love that you can smoke in Miami, just out the open doors next to the pool. Tons of soft cabanas to be lounged upon, or great for a PDA moment. The Hyde, and the SLS in general, is pretty fantastic. I will be back... soon. read more
