I was informed that the drain plug had not been properly sealed, causing an oil leak. After the snow melted from my driveway, I discovered large oil stains on my newly paved surface. This was discovered after my last visit to Tracy VW. There was no apology for the technician's oversight, and I was told the issue "sometimes happens." As a result, I was left dealing with the inconvenience of taking a day off work to address the problem, along with damage to my property. I bring my vehicle to a dealership expecting a level of care that avoids preventable mistakes. During the same visit, I was also told that my rear rotors were severely rusted and had worn down the brake pads--despite the fact that I had driven only about 1,000 miles since the annual service. This had not previously been communicated as urgent, which raised concerns for me about the consistency of their inspections. My primary concern is the damage to my property, along with the lack of accountability and communication surrounding the drain plug issue. The response felt dismissive, and there was no apology offered. For these reasons, I will be taking my business elsewhere and am sharing this experience to inform other customers. This past July 4th I was the victim of a hit and run on Rt 28 in Yarmouth Ma. Luckily there was a witness who got the license plate number and the name on the truck that hit me.
