Totally Awesome!!! I called to order a flower arrangement & to have it delivered. The lady taking my order, Donnette, was so friendly, helpful & did a beautiful job making the arrangement! They were delivered in a very short time & I couldn't be happier with the whole transaction! The flowers were fresh & beautiful! Many thanks to Donnette for making lots of people's day a prettier one!!! Thanks HyVee for having such pleasant Staff! Sincerely, Yvonne Gilbert, MN read more

Don't get the lochness monster sushi roll. It was all rice and some fake crab only tuna in three pieces and it was so minimal it's funny. You have to ask for this one but it's online to order also I believe. read more

So...I am going to say that I'm pretty spoiled where I am, as the grocery stores here tend to have a lot of stuff and are generally laid out pretty well, allowing you to get in, get your shit, and get out again, without having to plod through the entire store. This particular location I had understood was the showpiece location, the newest, the grandest, the largest, the most selection, etc. etc. It may very well be, I don't know, I haven't visited all the locations in the area, but it is definitely somewhat bigger than the Crossroads location, where I usually go when I'm in the area. That Crossroads location I had put up there as being competitive to some of the better stores in my area, which is pretty high praise, as the stores where I am, as mentioned, are generally quite good, but this location...I will be blunt. This location needs to hire someone who actually understands how to lay out a grocery store, instead of creating a maze that artificially keeps people in the store longer. If I wanted to be stuck somewhere artificially for no reason, I'd drive through the toilet that is Iowa. Selection also did not live up to the hype, though that is not Hy-Vee's fault, but rather the person who suggested this granddaddy of them all store could be the answer to my prayers and so on...if it is better than the Crossroads, it is only marginally. read more

Typically love going to Hy-Vee, but it seems the assistants at self check out are clueless and manager on duty today at a West Circle is rude ( short and condescending) . A year ago- in self checkout, a Hy-Vee employee said" oh , let me give you a bag credit for using your own bags. All you have to do is ask for it. It's five cents a bag." Never had problem with it , until today. The credit goes on my fuel saver. Today, I got" it does not work in self- checkout and here is 15cents". The point is it supposed to go on fuel saver. read more

I remember this visit since I haven't had the same great service at other grocery stores... I went to this location to get toilet paper and other grocery items. The shelves of tp & paper towels were empty. A really nice employee who was stocking items down an aisle saw me & asked what I needed. He went back to the storeroom and brought out a big box, promptly filling up the needed items. Well done, young man. I appreciate it! read more

Isles Online is a joke. I decided to wait 2 freak'n hours for a delivery to make a lasagna for my girl...the closest store didn't have all of the ingredients needed, so I ordered from another store with a slightly broader selection usually...too many items not available in reality. If I have to go out after ordering everything online for supposedly available items, why bother? I'm in Rochester, Minnesota. I am not from here. I have been here 5 years now. I'm not impressed with Hy-Vee. I am SUPER disappointed! And so is my girl! Word should spread if you guys don't correct that issue... read more

The grocery store is expansive and selection is good. However, a bit more expensive than other grocery options. I got on here to write a review specifically on Aisles Online. I've used this service a few times and it is never quite the timesaver I hoped it would be. The app to order is great- simple to use. But, as I sit in my car now waiting 20+ minutes realizing I could have just gone in and gotten it done. Note- pick up is on the North side of the building, not out front under the awning. read more

I use to love Hy-Vee but their prices just keep going up . 6 cake donuts for $ 8.99 is insane ! And it's bakery has gone down hill . The old fashion donuts are a joke now . The Apple fritters and ridiculously priced ! We don't buy the bakery anymore . Wonder how much gets thrown out ! Just sad . Miracle Whip is $ 8.00 dollars , seriously OMG ! It's just over $ 5.00 at Walmart! Hy-Vee you probably don't care but you are gonna lose a loyal fan . read more

I just bought a 2 lb block of cheese Colby Jack. It crumbles when you try to shred it. Doesn't have the texture of cheese any longer it's more like a rubbery plastic. Doesn't melt either. read more

OK, first off we get there searching around for jarred roasted red peppers searching for damn 40 minutes. Go find a worker because we can't find it, damn worker doesn't know where it is either so she was not no help at all and then we're walking around searching for other Hy-Vee workers none were found then finally after like an hour and a half found the damn peppers, check out leave not happy and im an angry customer. Very disappointed don't approve maybe hire some more workers so people like me arent walking around forever searching for mother fucking peppers. read more

Their new app for your smart phone is terrible. You can't even tell how many fuel saver points you have accumulated.

Raymond B. on 4/1 was friendly and polite. After he told me my total, I realized I didn't have enough on my debit card and I didn't have another option to cover the remaining balance. I felt so bad about taking extra time as a line had started forming behind me. Raymond was all positivity however and directed me to the customer service desk to void out enough items so that I could finish my transaction with Jo Ann. After a few minutes, Raymond surprised me by coming back up to us, handing Jo Ann his own card and telling her to put the items back in my bags. i am so grateful to him and HY-VEE. i hadn't been having a very good day and he completely turned it around for me. Thank you Ray!! read more

It's just straight up disgusting how often the food they are selling is way past expiration date. Especially fruit and veggies. The shelves in this department are often full of close to rotten or fully rotten items. Hyvee is not a cheap grocery store by all means. They should pay closer attention to the freshness of the product they are selling for these prices. Anything else is disrespectful and potentially harmful to clients. But is this really a surprise from a store whose operation are mostly run by minors who absolutely don't seems to care. I for one had it with this store - and with all other Hyvees in my area, which are equally careless - and will not shop here anymore. I'm just afraid I will catch some illness from the sub standard products they are selling. It's disturbing how they don't care even if you point out things to managers there. read more

I had extremely bad experiences from the bakery. This may, I ordered a two tier birthday cake from Hy-Vee, Crossroads Dr., Rochester, MN for my daughter's birthday party. I ordered 3-4days before the event date. When we went to pick up the cake, they gave a wrong one that did not match to the ordered one in any point. We refused to take that and they told us they will deliver the right one in three hours. They sent us the cake and the cake was completely broken (before we even touched it). We called them and they told that they will call us back in few minutes. They did not call us back. They just ruined our birthday party in all ways. They did not even show a minimum courtesy. P.s. this is not the first time. In October, they delivered wrong cake in the same way. When we asked for the right one, they took 4hrs and after that sent the same wrong one. read more

I actually look forward to food shopping at this particular Hy-Vee store. The employees there are always very friendly and helpful. Most recently I had this store cater a holiday dinner for 40 people at our church. The food and service were great, and the catering manager Hannah was super efficient and friendly. I highly recommend the Café as well. This is a great store! read more

Love their bakery. Laura is extremely talented and made my baby girl's first birthday cake exactly as I wanted it. You also get a free matching smash cake with purchase of a first birthday custom cake. We got matching cupcakes as well. Emailed her a picture from Pinterest and it was perfect! read more

I love hy-vee, its just a great one-stop place for everything I need. Ordered my cherry and french silk pies for Monday. Going to order a prime rib too, their meat is awesome. I picked up a amaryllis as a gift for a co-worker and lots of random groceries for myself. Also I always grab a starbucks while shopping. read more

Like any place of commerce, the staff either facilitate or hinder the quality set in place by their employers. Today, Kyle (assistant Starbucks manager) facilitated the quality set in place by Starbucks. Huge shout out to Kyle for doing a superb job despite his busy and chaotic environment at the time. He took that extra time to make a wonderful latte, instead of pushing out a crappy cup of coffee. The milk was steamed appropriately & the espresso was not burnt or dilute in taste. If I had my druthers, I'd get a coffee only from him each visit. read more

We love coming here. The food is delicious, service is great and the price is right. We have been coming here for breakfast every weekend for at least the last two years. I will never get sick of the Irish Benny. It's amazing. My husband gets the breakfast quesadilla with corned beef which is fantastic. Now we started coming for happy hour as well! Half price appetizers are a great deal. Christine, Heather and Mickalea are amazing and make awesome martinis. Archie, the manager is always friendly and makes sure we have everything we need. The waitresses are always on point and we have gotten to know them over the last few years. We love this place, not only the food but the amazing service! read more

Hy-Vee - Grocery Near Me - Rochester, Minnesota

This is a review of their Marketplace Restaurant. I have been 5 times, but won't be going back anymore. The first few times went with a friend, normal breakfast fare. It was good, though took a long time each time to get food. I went a few weeks back, and ordered a biscuit and gravy with some eggs. When it came, which took a rather long time, and there was only one other table there, I was about to tuck in, when I saw a nice hair of some sort. That was that, I couldn't eat there that day. Still, ever the optimist, I went today. Well, I should say I walked in, waited 4-5 minutes waiting for someone to come seat me, and then walked out. I did walk over near the bar, then looked out the door to the supermarket, came back in...Then walked out. So, that it. Food is OK, people are nice, when they show up, just not run very well and there are a few great places just down the road. Eating there now :-) read more

This is a nice brand new store. Hy-Vee is a full service type grocery chain. I've been to a couple others but this one is the biggest. They even have their own clothing line. There are lots of employees and always someone around to answer questions or find something for you. read more

This place is humongous. I got tired, hungry, lost. Went in there for 2 things, came out with a cart full of goodies. The selection is amazing, the organization-- I'm going to have to get used to it. There's so much that it's a sensory overload. Parking lot is crooked, so a bit annoying getting out. Small price to pay for such an all in one store. read more

I have been going to this location since they opened. They are alway friendly and helpful. Yesterday I went in and ordered a Birthday cake for my son (9" round Super Mario). We went to picked up the cake and found it extended with dark green, maroon, pink, baby blue and yellow. I called to let the manager know what happened that I didn't feel this cake looked good and that my son would not like the pink. He told me that I didn't tell them a color (I was not asked) and they didn't know it was for a boy (I was not asked but did say so when I placed the order) he offered a new one and said they could get it ready in one hour. I went to pick it up it had no detail on it, you could see the take through the frosting, and has a large dent in it. I would call it cheep looking (not what I spent $28 for) it had no pink so I took it. I was out of time and patience. I will not be ordering any food from there again. read more

This place is huge! It has everything you could want from a grocery store. They have food departments that are unbelievable. There is a restaurant inside that is so nice with charging station at every table. The buffet includes all the food stations. There is special parking stations for electric cars for charging, you can find then by looking for the special windmills. read more

Absolutely love this HyVee location! My significant other & I stop in once a week to purchase our meat & we've never been disappointed. Purchased some amazing round eye steaks the other day ($2/piece) and they were excellent! We also purchased wild-rice stuffed chicken breasts, a couple portions of chicken cordon bleu & some of their pre-made twice-baked potatoes. HyVee never disappoints & it leaves my family feeling full & satisfied. Highly recommend! read more

It is my go to store. It is mostly top quality for any food product that you would need. I will continue to go there, but this 1 star review is for anyone that needs a spice. The worst 10' of space in any grocery store in Rochester. Random brands, standard needs not even a choice (such as Garlic Powder, or Lowry's Seasoning Salt, or Fennal Seeds, or...many things you may require in a recipe). Pretty sad for all the high end meat, seafood, and select cheeses that they have to offer. It is weird, but I hope this review helps anyone that wants some changes in their local NW Hy-Vee market. read more

I hired Hy-Vee on West Circle Drive to help with my wedding. They did all of my flowers, my cake and the deli provided food for my wedding party the day of the wedding. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided as they were very friendly and patient with me as I chose what I wanted. The flowers were phenomenal, I couldn't have asked for better. The cake was extremely tasty and many of my guests commented on how good it was. The deli food was also wonderful. I would recommend this Hy-Vee to anyone and will definitely hire them again if the opportunity arises. read more

I asked Cindy at the Floral Department to do the flowers for my wedding and she totally exceeded my expectations. The flowers were amazing! I had one appointment with her to talk about what I wanted and showed her some photos I liked on Pinterest. She was very attentive and started taking notes of all the types of flowers I wanted and in what colors. She then worked hard to find what I wanted within the confines of my budget. The table arrangements were even delivered to the reception venue and on time. When I saw everything put together I was blown away and loved every detail. Thank you so much, Cindy! You made my wedding day more beautiful that I thought possible. read more
