I found International Spices & Groceries using a Google search, and after visiting the market yesterday, I was so surprised that no one had reviewed the place on Yelp as of yet. Well, there's a first time for everything... The first thing I noticed about the store is how sparkling clean the floors were. Along with the bright lighting and well-organized shelves stacked with the whole gamut of traditional spices, jams, pita bread, cookies, and teas (to name only a few of the items they had), this place exceeded my expectations. Many international grocers have no desire to spruce up their stores because they know the focused customer base will continue to shop there, especially if there is no nearby competition. However, this place does an excellent job of appealing to the general public, with its ample selection of meats, cheeses, frozen and dried goods. If you plan on visiting the store on Fridays, remember that its closed around noon. I forgot what time exactly, but it is listed on the front door. I parked on the street at a metered spot right in front of the store and did not notice a nearby lot for shoppers.

There new shipment arrives on Mondays and Friday early afternoon typically - so that's when you can expect many shoppers to come by and try to grab the freshest produce. I think this market is really great for Southeast cooking specifically although it also has a great range of Korean ingredients! Does have a good range of ingredients for Chinese cooking. It is a huge market. Fresh produce, dried noodles, frozen foods and cooking ware are all in the very very back! :) Produce is typically pretty fresh and service is always top notch.

The spacious store has the full spectrum of meat products for anyone whether looking to grill for themselves or a large party: a great case of cuts, frozen larger meat sections (e.g. whole ribeyes), a smoked section, and various snacks & entrees. Plus, the prices were very reasonable. I ended up getting some Bacon-wrapped Sirloins, Smoked Hard-boiled Eggs (their specialty--tasted like an aged cheese!), and Meatloaf, which were all so good. I don't know whether it was called Asian Pacific Market at the time. I remember bringing my mom to check the place out when she was visiting. It was run by a couple. I ended up getting a case of ramen noodles because I have always loved eating them growing up. While checking out my old neighbourhood, I swung by to check this market out again. The Chinese restaurant that I never frequented is still in this plaza, across from this store. I believe that this market took over another store and tore down a wall. It's definitely larger than I remember it to be. I parked and walked inside. I loved seeing all ingredients to create your own banh mi. The snacks looked good, from shrimp flavour chips, to roasted seaweed. I was happy. The man cashing folks out asked me if I needed any help. I was browsing and reminiscing. I was good. I ended up getting a box of Choco Pie. Each pie is individually wrapped. Chocolate and banana work nicely together. I ended up bringing half of them back to Canada because my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I found Korean ramen and decided to give it a try. I got the mild flavour, which had a bit of a kick. I loved how chewy the noodles were. Full marks for them. You can only pay with a credit card if your total is at least $10. Thankfully, mine was. My credit card transaction worked nicely. The man was personable and helpful. We wished each other a great night as I happily headed to my car with my purchases. They also had a large selection of frozen including seafood, snacks, food, fruits, and many more which is wonderful as we have many different options and brands to choose from. They also have a lot of seasonings, condiments, and preserved food in many different brands for us costumers to try and if there is a brand we want but they do not currently have the brand, they will go ahead and try there very best to order it just for you. They also have a bunch of different kinds of snacks and drinks also with a large variety of different brands and are open to getting more for costumers. They also have the viral mango ice cream and other flavors on stock always which sells pretty quick but they keep up and should always have some on stock. Their costumers service is top notch as they are all really friendly, like family. They are all really humorous and helpful even with costumers and can really lift a persons day once interacted with.
