Hy-Ver is my favorite grocery store. If they stocked large bottles of Stevia, I would say they're ideal. :). One can always hope. The parking lot is huge. One can have to park at a distance in prime shopping hours. These are the burdens we must bear. Carts are always plentiful, as are baskets. They have nearly everything we want. Also, the meats and produce seem fresh and delicious. It's a very large store and is well-stocked. Service is great. Even better if the business isn't flooded with customers. Grocery store can only prevent so much of that without losing serious capital. Bad for biz either way. They have regular registers and automated ones. Both work well. This is our preferred Hy-Vee these days. read more

Went in for a vaccination and staff was very helpful and professional (I HATE NEEDLES) long overdue ...had to happen, life is short, just get it done mentality... they made it very quick and easy..I was able to pick what arm I wanted it on...(take deep breaths) great for shopping for my grocery needs and my medical prevention items! I've been to this location many times and have never had any issue with traffic, low stock, or much of anything else. I wanted to leave a review for the staff as I volunteered with the Salvation Army and rang the bell there and a Hyvee employee brought us all hot chocolate as a thank you! This is the closest HyVee to where I live, so I occasionally come here. But their prices are higher than the one on 180th and Pacific, and this store is smaller, so there's less selection. Not a fan. Seriously, if this were my only experience with HyVee, I wouldn't bother seeking them out. Their prices are on a par with Whole Foods, and the only reason to keep selecting HyVee is the fuel rewards. They had only a few things I was actually looking for. Went to the wine and spirits department looking for a pony keg of 1919 root beer, which I was told might be here, and used to get in the wine and spirits department at another store back home. I tried asking the cashier for it, she proceeded to tell me in rude fashion that I was in the wine and spirits section and that they don't have it here. read more

For some reason or another, this Hy-Vee seems to be nicer than all the others I've visited. Like this location is a Mercedes S-class and the one at 50th and Center is a Chevy Cobalt. Maybe the uppity-ness is on purpose--it is nearby several affluent Wet Omaha neighborhoods after all--or maybe it's just due to quality management. Either way, I dig this fancy-ass Hy-Vee. It's great for artisanal pasta samples and Sonoma County wine tastings alike. Plus you can get toilet paper and diapers here no prob as well. The worst part? The parking lot. Good luck not getting run over trying to enter/exit the store. Really good pizza place (Frank's) right next door, too! read more

This Hy-Vee probably is the best one in town. They have a nice little restaurant section where you can sit and eat your doughnut or meal. It's very cute and comfortable. These days I'm more of a grab and go person thanks to Covid. They have a good doughnut section in the mornings and a nice prepared food area. There are also every kind of treat such as cotton candy and fresh popcorn. As for groceries there produce section is really nice. The fruit always looks perfect and there is a nice variety. There is an aisle of specialty foods. Unless, I'm mistaken this is the only Hy-vee with a decent (not great) selection of Jewish foods. The typical matzah, latke mixes and some other things. I recommend checking the dates on the products though. While this Hy-vee is nice, we do the majority of our shopping at other stores. I generally come here for things that Baker's doesn't have and loss leaders. As other people have said Hy-vee charges more for the exact same products. read more

Taylor at the front Customer Service desk was very rude and unprofessional when I went in to ship a package yesterday. Was rude throughout the entire interaction, lied to me multiple times to either try to not have to make a USPS shipping label for me (told me "We are out of labels" even though you print them off and she was able to do so) as well as lying about not being able to put a recipients name or return address on the package. When I told her I knew this all was not true her response was "well I just don't know what to tell you". Extremely rude tone and bad attitude the entire time. If you hate your job and your customers that much maybe you need to go somewhere else. I have already contacted the store management by email about this matter, as well as filed a complaint with the USPS for this location in regards to her behavior. Most every Hy-Vee has a prepared meal section, but in Omaha the Linden Market Hy-Vee beats the others hands down. Their Chicken Alfredo and Meat Spaghetti are almost twice the size you can find elsewhere, but their dinners to chose from put all other Hy-Vee to shame. I actually bypass 3 other Hyvees to come to this Hyvee. Everyone is so nice. We have used their florist for 2 of our daughters weddings and they did wonderful work. When I could not find a few items, they made sure to get them in. I highly recommend this Hyvee, it is better then the Hyvees closer to Elkhorn. read more

I would skip this store if you are looking for responsive customer service. I have made 2 trips into this store to buy Hy Vee brand 2 liter Diet tonic just this week and both times neither was it stocked on the shelf nor was it even in the store warehouse when I complained to the management I was told sorry. My experience is that it is rarely stocked properly on the shelf and more often completely out of stock. I recommend not wasting your time. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. The pharmacy has DISGUSTING customer service. Becca with short black hair "assisted" me, if you could even call it that. She did not greet me, just stood and stared at me till I said I had a pickup. She couldn't find my prescription, all she said was "it's not in the system". Did not offer to look it up another way, just stood and stared at me and looked annoyed. I left, got to my car and called the pharmacy. The manager stated that she had the prescription right there and that "Becca was just having an off day". I don't think that Becca being an absolute BITCH to customers is a one off thing. Hyvee always does a lovely job with customer service but I would NEVER recommend this pharmacy or Becca to anyone. She should learn how to interact with people in a kind, helpful way. Allow me to count the ways I love this Hy-vee. Anything and everything you could possibly need or want is in this store. A dry cleaner, for goodness sakes! Everyone is welcoming and friendly and helpful!! I love their hot prepared section; I could eat from there all the time. There is an all you can eat buffet on Sat from their Chinese counter. There is fresh made sushi and sandwiches. We had breakfast in their restaurant Thanksgiving morning. Well prepared and the staff was still wearing smiles even though they had to work to help people on a Federal Holiday. I did my best to thank them for being there. Fresh flowers, a chef demo, a great meat counter and deli. There is just so much to love at this Hy-vee. read more

When I lived in Omaha, this was my go-to grocery store! Everything here was always very clean and very well-stocked. On top of that, the employees were extremely helpful! Easily one of the best grocery stores in Omaha. What really puts this store at the top of my list, though, is their pharmacy. The pharmacists are absolutely amazing! I had issues with my insurance, and they went above and beyond for me... they actually called and straightened things out with my insurance company for me. They also caught a potential drug interaction that my husband's doctor had missed with some of his medication. Great products, great customer service... if I ever move back to Omaha, I'll be coming back to this store again! read more

I went in to the Linden Market Hy-Vee looking for Midol, a pain reliever commonly used for relief of menstrual cramps. I searched the "pain reliever" aisle hi and low to no avail. I walk over to the feminine hygiene items, nope, not there either. Finally I asked the lady behind the pharmacy counter. She tells me the Midol is with the Family Planning items......?? That's right. I purposely waited a month to post this on Yelp, after answering a survey on my HyVee receipt, to see if I got any response. Evidently, those surveys don't mean anything because I've never gotten a response even though I requested one. So I am now making this public. I thought the pharmacist was very rude and disrespectful to me. I do not have prescription insurance and therefore use the GoodRx Savings Plan. Having used this for some time, I realize it's an inconvenience to the pharmacy staff so I purposely waited until 7PM to pickup my prescription, rather than on my way home from work at 5PM when I know it is very busy for them. I was the only customer at that time. The pharmacist was helping Bryce enter the coupon numbers into the computer and was telling him what a pain GoodRx is. I said I realized that and apologized but explained I had no rx insurance. Bryce, three times said "no problem at all" to me when I, again, said I was sorry to inconvenience them. The pharmacist, on the other hand, displayed to me what I assume people are talking about when they talk negatively about "west Omaha people". She never once assured me that she was happy to help me and she made it quite obvious she was "not" happy to help me! I just moved back to Omaha after living in Puerto Rico for 4 years and experiencing and losing everything in Hurricane Maria. Unfortunately, I probably don't have the resources that many of the people in this part of town have. But I don't think that makes me any less of a person. Your pharmacist made me feel that way. Luckily there are several other HyVee stores in Omaha so I will just be looking for another one to shop at - maybe one a little farther "east"! read more

I used to really enjoy shopping at Hy-Vee and this particular location was considered one of the nicest in the city. That being said, something has happened over the last several months making this almost a dreadful experience. First of all, the products. It is upsetting that a grocery store, especially one that I trust would sell outdated/expired products. But they do! We're so much wiser now after noticing an item was expired after we had purchased it. From coffee creamer to produce and even pickle relish (one of the few locations that sells Clausen) every product has to be double checked. Sometimes every product in the case is past its expiration date. The food bar was another great selling point of this location. Great selection and for the most part fresh high quality food even in the grab and go selection. First of all the portions themselves were made smaller as prices increased. But I can live with that because it's the norm these and the price of convenience. What I find upsetting is stale/contaminated food on the food bars or in the grab and go section. That should not be happening! I feel our stores should have high standards across the board to ensure customers are getting fresh food. Certainly now and then things happen but when it happens on a regular basis it signals a bigger problem. Lastly, and the most upsetting of all is the poor customer service. Despite the fact there are few customers in line/ plenty of open cashiers there has been a lack of attention to details. It seems as though we are inconveniencing the cashier/bagger team and some of our food items have been packed poorly. read more

I requested that the store manger call me regarding a concern and that call was delegated to a "human resource" person who also did not demonstrate competent "customer service". Great store. We went in for breakfast and they were very helpful and the food was great. Kids had doughnuts and cinnamon roles. The eating area is very friendly and it seems that they have a pretty normal group of customers that comes in all the time. They were sitting in groups. I'm a 50 something male. The checker, Judy R., at the Linden Market Hy-Vee in Omaha acted like I was using a fake ID when I was purchasing beer today. She looked really close at me then looked at my wife in a condescending way. She said to me in reference to the ID, "Oh that IS you". VERY RUDE! She even had to scan the bar code on back which I've never had done anywhere else before. If you have to shop at Hy-Vee, I'd recommend the one located at Peony Park. This is the store I will hold all other stores to...I didn't end up buying anything but man I wish I lived closer to it...It had everything from a postal station, to a dry cleaners to a breakfast food station...and all of it looked great especially the Chinese food...the people here were the usual Hy-Vee types, which means very helpful and friendly...maybe it's because it's in what appears to be a more affluent and nice area, but it shows what a supermarket can be when they actually make the effort to be awesome...Excellent job Hy-Vee read more

I happened to be in this area for Oasis Massage and Spa, i try to eat and shop organically and i only needed a couple things so after talking to the nice people at the spa that the Hyvee has a nice organic area i decided to stop in. they were right. first of all this is a gorgeous store. large spacious and well stocked. i ended up carrying home more than the couple things because the organic fresh spinach looked so delicious and started in my spinach salad craving. they had the same brand of dairy i used both in the regular cases and in the huge natural food area as well. was able to get the two things i needed plus others like my favorite brand of organic buttermilk for future breakfast waffles. the staff was nice and friendly and i really like that its so close to my new place. read more

Yay! The construction is nearly over and the store is up and running. Exterior updates make this location look particularly impressive.

Have used this as our primary grocery store for both our family and in-laws household for over a year ... and was excited when they started offering online ordering and delivery. The service is reasonably priced (free delivery over $100 order) and quick. After several months, decided to switch to a different location (156th and Maple) because the order pullers just didn't care enough to get orders right, and consistently did not read the "instructions" or "order comments" or ignored them. When I called to ask about a mistake, I was met with indifference and zero customer service. Additionally, since they don't deliver orders with alcohol (I'm betting it's a state law), we shop in store about every 4-5 weeks. EVERY TIME we find "fresh" products past the sell by dates ... store-made salsa and yogurt in particular. When I recently pointed this out to an assistant MANAGER, I was told "we can't be perfect" ... and then I found 4 more products in a different section also past the sell by date. I know it sounds like I'm just looking for these, but I promise I am not. Nice clean store with a decidedly lax attitude toward customers. read more

If you choose NOT to heed my advice, shave your head before you leave your house, or you'll be pulling your hair out after your experience. Its an absolute nightmare getting in and out of this joint. only one major intersection to get out with a light that takes forever to turn green. But wait there's more...!!! Surprise, a gas station right at the bottle neck. WOW What a relief, so WHEN, not IF you get tied up with a blue hair crossing with a walker for 10 minutes, you can pull in to the gas station for a smoke break and take a leak if you need to. then gas up, because you'll need it to get thru the next red light. by then the frozen food has defrosted, but the good news is, just run up to the hyvee on 156th and maple and plea to exchange it all there for something fresh. the employees have a friendly smile in every aisle, and the prices are reasonable. 2 out of 5 stars. Granted this review is from one isolated incident, but still. Went here to find medicine for an allergic reaction, and I asked a young girl where I could find Benadryl in tablet form. Let me preface by saying, I get it-- it's a grocery store, and the girl was probably no more than 16, but I asked her--and she seemed dumb founded that I actually asked her a question. Then, she stared at me, and said "wait--like whaaaa?" I told her not to worry about it, and I would go someone where else. Other than that, I have been here many times, and had no problems. Oh my goodness! I had the absolute pleasure of working with the floral department at this Hy-Vee, and my experience was nothing less than phenomenal! Autumn and Aaron H. went above and beyond with helping me figure out an arrangement for my Mom's birthday flowers. Aaron had so much patience dealing with all my questions and even priced out 4 different arrangement ideas for me with no complains. I had to call back after discussing the options with my family and when I did call back, Autumn (who is the assistant manager, but should probably be promoted) was the person who actually took down my order. What a total gem she was to work with! This was customer service at it's finest! I normally use a different local florist for my flower needs, but after this experience, I will definitely be calling Autumn and Aaron again!
