I am going to update this review as Dr Rex Barrett reached out to me as he told his staff to reach out to let us know the location was closing unfortunately I never received a call from the staff which is disappointing and the blame of the staff for not doing their job. The fact that Dr Barrett reached out with explanation shows a lot of dignity and respect so I'm updating this review as I was so happy while this location in Brentwood was open. You are required to sign "forms" that you're not allowed to see, if you're lucky you'll be seen roughly 15-30 minutes after your scheduled time and signing the secret forms will take longer than your actual visit. But while you wait you can listen to GSD's collection calls. Hey Ann - you owe GSD $30 and they need that NOW. I listened to the collection calls for at least 6 people. You'll learn more about their cancellation & no show policy than you will your actual care. *Shout out to the medical assistant that was incredibly kind & professional, and seemed to care more in general than the actual doctor who googled a photo to show me, then told me if my concern bothered me, I could follow up. I thought I WAS there to address the concern but clearly he was much too busy for that. My husband had a great experience at the Pleasant Hill location but this was all around an awful time.

I am not a time-waster and I intended to pay cash for anything my insurance didn't cover. So what's the problem?? While I was trying to locate something hidden on my scalp for him to examine he was irritated because my fingers were in his way. (Sigh.) He then told me it would fall off by itself. But that was over 1.5 years ago and it has NOT fallen off. After my visit his office emailed a request for feedback. I responded with my dissatisfaction and I never heard anything further. But all in all, if I hadn't read up about this Procedure on-line, I wouldn't have a clue about what they were doing. None of the nurses spoke. I do understand it's different under these masks now days. But when one said, "You'll be here for about an hour now", Why? For what? Can I sit up? Can I stand? I had to ask all those questions quickly before the nurse left the room. Someone's head did pop in about half way through to ask if I was ok. I think more communication as to what was happening would ease up a stressful time. After I was ok, and able to go, there was no communication regarding the stiches. Just that I was to leave the pressure bandage on for 3 days. It just seemed a bit cold to me, the time in the little room, the procedure. I don't look for "warm and fuzzy" under these masks, but maybe more explanation would sure help.
