Wish I never came here. I should have got a second opinion. Just wanted to make sure my eyes were ok, it had been awhile since I had my eyes checked. Nothing was wrong with my eyes nor did I wear glasses. So I was told I should wear glasses. I had went back stating that the glasses made my eyes worse, because I can no longer see my phone (text etc). I should have just stopped wearing them. But I didnt do my research. Once you start wearing glasses your eyes get dependent on them. I feel like I was a sucker. To go from having fine vision to needing to wear glasses. Just beware!!!!!! They want your life long business of now needing glasses every year. Which is also not the case. I felt taken advantage of!!! BTW I was told it was ok to wear my reading glasses all the time. Metal shavings hit my eye after working on one of my classic cars. After a couple of days hoping they would fall out I couldn't take the pain anymore. I called the office and explained the situation. I think I've been a patient going on 15yrs or close to it. I've never had a bad experience. Doc is very informative, no question goes unanswered and no options not explored. I saw a recent post from a new patient regarding the office's safety protocols. Please do not let that deter you from visiting. On my recent visit, my temp was taken & hands sanitized, this after having been met at the door to ensure I had a mask on. Doc wiped down all equipment in my presence. When checking out frames, the staff stayed on my case about not putting any frames that I touched back on the shelf. They came behind me and sanitized each one. They have an awesome frame selection to choose from. From basic to fashionable and contemporary they have you covered. I've been rockin wit Doc for a minute. He and the staff are awesome. Oh Yelp keeps bugging me to review this place because I visited it a few years ago,ok. Because I live very close to the place and I was too lazy to drive to my regular Doctor I gave him a chance. First off the place is extremely dark ( I found out why later) and everyone is in a rush even though no costumers except me were there. So I get the exam and order my glasses. I get them and test them out but it's so dark in there that they seemed ok so I rushed out and went to work. My mistake. I basically bought reading glasses that wasn't 100% correct for my right eye.I went back the next day and of course sale final. My L. Can't complain,my fault thinking any business in Antioch is going to be good. But an L for good ol Garret too. Because he made his few dollars on the front end and lost ( from me anyways) at least a thousand more. read more

My family has been going to Dr. Louie for years, so when my 9 year old daughters screw came out of her glasses one morning before school I called Dr. Louie's office to see if they could put a new screw in. The lady that works there broke my child's glasses and never bothered to tell me. It wasn't until I left and pulled the glasses back out that I learned that Dr.Louie's staff had broken my child's glasses. I immediately called the office and spoke with the women that broke the glasses, she simply said sorry and left it at that. So I called back and spoke with the doctor today and explained what happened, to which he responded " old glasses often break like that". Her glasses are less than a year old, I have the receipt of when I bought them in August. He told me to call Kaiser no see about a warranty. THIS ISN'T KAISER'S ISSUE. Needless to say I am extremely upset. Dr. Louie and his staff did not take any accountability or try and make this right. Now I'm out the cost of a new pair of glasses that only needed a simple screw. I understand that things happen, but the dishonesty of the staff and their unwillingness to make it right was extremely upsetting, as a result I will be taking my business elsewhere. I would use extreme caution when doing business with Dr. Louie or his staff as they have proven that they are not trustworthy. read more

Made a appointment 2 weeks ago for my annual eye exam. Took a few minutes to find the right day and time. I put the date and time in my phone as I spoke with the staff. Confirmed date and before hanging up. Showed up on the date and time. "We don't show you having any appointment". Pretty much wasted my entire morning for nothing. Didn't have to wait long time to be seen by the doctor, once I saw him he was very thorough, patient and polite, came back a week later and got fitted for my glasses and they were ready within a few days later, I would definitely recommend this optometrist read more

While this office seemingly has covid protections in place, they do not. Several times I asked for the machines to be sanitized before use. As a new patient, it was a VERY troubling experience. The office gave no instructions on what we needed to bring with us, and led to my husband and I having to make a separate trip back to the office just for a simple prescription. Unlike every other eye doctor I've seen, this one cannot give you a new prescription without knowing your current prescription. Also, don't expect to get a contact prescription without wearing contacts to the office (even if they then tell you to take them out). Such simple things ended up being game changers and the attitudes from staff did not help. The doctor himself was somewhat nice but again, condescending. "Well, who goes to the eye doctor without a copy of their previous prescription"? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I'm sure if you're an existing patient, things are much better but for new folks to the area, steer clear. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I've lived in the area for 3 years but reluctant to switch my eye doctor. I've been seeing my old eye doctor since I was a teenager but moved an hour away. Great optometrist. Was having trouble because my gas permeable lenses had scratched up my dry eyes a bit, and my eyes needed to be retested, allowed to reshape. He does very thorough exams of your eye and cornea. Great job, spends plenty of time with you, explains everything. read more
