10+ years later and I would not change a word in my original review. Older and wiser, Dr. Linder still excels as an eye care professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Linder since I moved to Antioch in 2016, and in all these years I have…read morenever had a single bad experience. She has seen me through every stage and change in my vision and every eye issue I've had along the way. When I first started seeing her, I was nearsighted. Over time I also became farsighted and eventually needed bifocals, and she managed that whole transition with care and attention. Later, I developed a detached vitreous, and she guided me through that with calm, thorough care and reassurance. I also have idiopathic intracranial hypertension (increased intracranial pressure), which means that sometimes I need to be seen urgently. Every single time that has happened, she has made time for me. That alone says a lot about the kind of doctor she is. Her office itself is great -- it's always very clean and well kept, there is plenty of parking, and the staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. You never feel stressed walking in there, and you never feel like you're just another number. I'm a nursing instructor, and at a recent visit, I told Dr. Linder that I was feeling intimidated about teaching the anatomy of the eye because, honestly, it's a complex topic if you're not in that specialty. Without hesitation, she offered to meet with me, look over my PowerPoint, and help me fact-check it. What really amazed me is that she did this on her own time, on one of her days off, and with incredible patience. She would make an excellent teacher. The way she explains things and the analogies she uses make complicated concepts actually make sense. I walked away from that meeting not only feeling more confident about my lecture, but genuinely more interested in the eye itself, which is not something I ever thought I'd say. As a nurse, I pay attention to certain things in healthcare providers. Dr. Linder clearly loves her specialty and isn't just going through the motions or counting down to retirement. She's fully present and engaged in her work. She takes the time to explain what's going on, discuss prevention, and make sure you understand what's happening with your own body. She also genuinely cares about her patients as people, not just diagnoses. She's also very down to earth. She's not stiff or overly "buttoned up." She's easy to talk to, warm, and approachable, and she makes it easy to ask questions without feeling rushed or dismissed. I can honestly say Dr. Linder is the kind of physician you hope to find and keep for life. I'm incredibly grateful for her care and truly blown away by her dedication to both her patients and her field. I recommend her without hesitation.

But no worries, I had an appointment so I was safe ... right ?.... Walked up to window to check in , asked for I.d and insurance card since I was a new patient. Then gave me a clipboard to fill out and come back up to window to pay my co payment. Since I had a hunch something was not right about this place , especially it being in Antioch ... rightttt before I was about to pay , I said -- "I notice there's a lot of people here, but I have an appointment, so you know how long the wait is?" The lady responds "we are quite busy , maybe around an hour or more " Ok.. so there's no point and doesn't matter that I have an appointment? I just walked out. Of course I didn't think to check reviews beforehand , as it's a medical clinic , and I was referred here by sutter health, so I just rolled with it. This review won't matter , because it looks like many complaints about the same thing , so clearly they don't care. I guess what can I expect for an Antioch dump spot. Don't be fooled by the fact that it looks decently nice inside. - What a waste of time , gas & miles. What if I had come here on my lunch break or something ?

Turns out my prescription expired before the new date, therefore, I couldn't purchase more contact lenses. I asked CEC if they could at least spot me some samples because I was out of contacts. They flat out refused. I've been a client for years but they would not even consider accomodating my request for some lenses or a sooner appointment. They were actually downright rude on the phone and didn't really care. Bad!!!

Dr. Winston Ong is the best in the business and the only eye doctor that perfectly fits my prescription every time, even with my chronic astigmatism in both eyes. I also have Dr Ong do an annual full evaluation of my eye health and inform me of any short term and long term risks I have. He has the best and latest state of the art equipment to accurately diagnose any conditions I have, especially as I age. I also have to compliment his efficient and knowledgeable office staff that completes a great customer experience. First, there is the office manager Jamie that runs the business as she would her own and happily fixes any issues you might have. Then there is Hannah the Technician, who assists Dr Ong with testing your eye health. Hannah is very experienced and knowledgable to answer technical questions you may have. Finally, there is Alyssa the Optician, who assists you for glasses with the perfect fit, frame, lense options and cost. I highly recommend Vision Optix on Balfour Road in Brentwood for a true one stop shopping experience!
