Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I'll be using them for as long as they give great service!

AC died in the middle of the night. They came out the next morning and said my unit was too old…read morerepair (just over 20 years old), while ripping out something from the power box and seemingly breaking a component in there. They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! These Super Heat guys are neighborhood super heroes…read more We were in a jam with our AC unit shutting down during one of the terrible heat waves earlier this summer. I called everywhere, and the demand was too great for most places. However, Bob picked up right away, and while he was on the move he scheduled an appointment with us the next day. Jessy and Carlos showed up to the appointment, and they were total pros. Immediately pinpointed the issue, and cleaned both our AC units on top of the repair to prevent any further issues. They were also friendly and cool the entire time, despite crazy temperatures and it being the end of no doubt a long day for them. Jessy offered some advice on another HVAC question I had, and Carlos even helped my neighbor out with a stuck door--what a guy. Businesses like Super Heat make our neighborhood great. Whether you're in Pilsen or anywhere else in the city, give them a call.

It took multiple "tinkerings" to resolve the problem. What I really appreciated was that as soon as I called, Marvin adjusted his next day's schedule and came out to my home and worked several hours, not leaving until he had thoroughly tested and verified that the problem was resolved. No vague promises of "I will see when I can get to it", he arrived the next morning and stayed until the problem was resolved. After tons of back and forth calls and texts between us and multiple achedulers, service managers, the sales guy, etc., we thought we were getting somewhere when we were told that it would be replaced, as it states they would on their website, but then we started getting the run around again. Great job at keeping your word, fellows. Class act family run business. They knocked some money off but the unit is still not working properly. Tons of service calls and still not working. Their own service guys are even telling us we should have it replaced as they don't know how to fix it. Maybe I'll change this review if Robbie himself gets a hold of me and replaces this piece of garbage, as I'm getting nowhere with the people I have spoken with about 100 times. Unfortunately, they were unable to make that work. After spending considerable time trying, we ultimately agreed to a compromise of using separate thermostats for the radiant heat and the AC. Although this wasn't the solution we originally wanted, we accepted it and paid the invoice in full. Initially, Jordan gave us the impression that he was knowledgeable, trustworthy, and would stand behind the company's work. I genuinely thought we had found an HVAC company we could rely on for years to come. Because the installation was completed outside of the cooling season, we couldn't fully test the air conditioning until the weather became warm enough to use it. When we finally turned on the AC, neither unit worked properly. Jordan came out and discovered that one Ecobee thermostat had been miswired. He corrected the wiring, and that unit began working. However, he could not determine why the second unit was not working. Before leaving, he told us he would return within a day or two to continue troubleshooting. It has now been more than a week. We have called the company's call center multiple times, and every time we are told our message will be forwarded and someone will call us back. Despite our repeated attempts, we have never received a callback or been able to schedule the promised follow-up visit. We even asked to speak with a manager or another owner, but were told that information could not be provided. What disappoints me most is not that there were installation issues--those can happen on any project. It's what happened afterward. Once the final payment was made, it became nearly impossible to get anyone to respond or honor the follow-up that was promised. A warranty only has value if a company responds when customers need service. I truly wanted this company to be our long-term HVAC contractor. Instead, based on my experience, I was left with an unresolved HVAC issue, repeated unanswered service requests, and the feeling that the level of customer support changed after payment was received. I hope they improve their communication and follow-through, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

My dad had his HVAC serviced less than 2 weeks ago for the winter and Bret didn't realize that a pressure switch needed to be replaced. We don't know what was actually done for service. So instead we had to pay a different HVAC technician to come and fix it on one of the coldest days this winter. We called multiple times and left many messages with no follow up. We understand it's busy and we need their help because we aren't hvac technicians ourselves - but this isn't how to treat customers. They wouldn't appreciate their friends and family being serviced this way, so why should we?
