My thighs were much firmer, as well as my arms, and my abs look AWESOME. Not only did I see results, but I looked forward to the sessions. Alan made it fun. Every time was different, and I never got bored. He tailored the sessions to fit my personality, as well as reach the goals we discussed at the beginning. The only reason I discontinued the sessions, is because I quite my corporate job, to start my own business, and I need to save my funds. As soon as I do, I will definitely continue with Alan and Dynamic Fitness Training. :)

I have a lot of weight to lose but knew I couldn't do it alone and needed the motivation and accountability. From the first day I met Alan, I felt at ease and completely comfortable. I could tell that he loves personal training and he cares about his clients and that he was good at what he does. I've just started my second month training with Alan, and he is amazing! He's fun and easy-going and has this incredible ability to motivate. He's also very good at reading me, he knows when I've reached my limit and also knows when to push me harder. I feel better than I have in a long time and I can't imagine a better trainer! I would recommend him to anyone!

My daughter laughs and enjoys every class. Second, she learns a ton! She's grown immensely in the last six months and her skills are impressive. Third, everyone who works there is so easy and great to work with. Shihan sets a great tone for the whole Dojo and I look forward to my daughter continuing to practice here for years to come.

As a direct result of my time there, I eventually moved to Japan for years to continue martial arts training, and have dedicated my life to martial arts, now teaching at my own Dojo in Los Angeles. I can't believe how much I owe to my experience at Shodokan. Thank you for being such a wonderful influence. Thank you for being such a great inspiration. I hope many more people will have the opportunity to be a part of your Dojo.

I feel very lucky to have found this dojo, which has been in operation since 1964. This school…read moreoperates as a nonprofit school and does not pay its instructors; this shows the commitment of teachers and students to the art. New students go through a two month intro class that will allow them to join regular classes with more confidence and a good understanding of the basics of Aikido. The intro class is taught by the school's senior instructor, Sensei Mulligan, who was designated as "Shihan" or Master Teacher from Aikido World Headquarters in 2010. He has trained and inspired many students but what makes the Shodokan a special martial arts school is the energy and sense of humor from Mr. Mulligan and the teachers and students. The school also offers Judo, Karate and other arts, with instructors and students cross training in different arts. Visitors are welcome to come by and sit during class, so if you're interested, come by and check it out! The instruction is great, there are classes morning noon and night to accommodate any schedule and the culture is so positive and supportive. If u are new to BJJ the structured curriculum will guide u in starting the journey. Invictus Training Center and Nate Morrison (and the other coaches) set a gold standard for what a…read moretrue martial arts academy should be. From day one, I was blown away by the culture here. Invictus is built around learning, open-mindedness, and respect for the evolution of the sport. Nate leads by example, constantly encouraging exploration of different styles and techniques rather than forcing a "one-size-fits-all" approach while maintaining a structured class with high percentage moves. The environment strikes the perfect balance: it's competitive enough to push you to improve, but not so much that it leads to injury. As a beginner, I've never once felt out of place. The training partners here are top-tier, technical, tough, but incredibly generous with their knowledge and genuinely invested in helping each other grow. You feel like part of a team from the moment you step on the mats.

I had some limitations due to an injury to and replacement of my hip so, while I was very motivated, I wasn't sure whether I could take full advantage of the program. I was so wrong. Not only did I drop about 40 lbs., I also got to a point of fitness that I never imagined given my limitations. I had been a gym rate before doing mostly spinning and the treadmill and some boot camp classes. It was boring but I did enjoy it. I had never done any real cross training like I did with Bob and once I started, he had me so motivated and driven, I wanted to do everything to my fullest potential. And it was SO fun! He was extremely knowledgeable about how to handle working around injuries and was also able to modify most exercises so that I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. He listened to me and I trusted that he wasn't putting me at risk for any injuries. He was so invested in my success that I didn't want to disappoint him. The studio is neat and organized and the bathroom and shower is clean. I like that there is only 1 other person in the studio. For anyone looking to be healthy, whether for weight management or to optimize your fitness, this is the place to go. We don't have a lot of options in our area and even if we did, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Can't wait to go back now that I've had my surgery!!!

I found One2One BodyScapes in Westford, MA via a Yelp search, and I am so glad that I did! I took…read moreone of their introductory training specials and realized that one-to-one personal training was a great match for me, and that I was ready to make the investment in my own health. In the short time I have been there, almost 1 month, I have already noticed a significant improvement to my fitness and energy level, and I have lost 5 pounds. (Hopefully, just the beginning!) The trainers are highly skilled and excellent. I have worked with Krista, John and Resa, and they all make the workouts fun, yet challenging with a mixture of aerobic and weight conditioning customized for me. The hour flies by! There is no problem switching between trainers based on my schedule. They are very flexible about this. The facilities are excellent and always clean. It's convenient for me to workout, take a shower, and then head to the office - starting my day in a healthy manner and giving me an energy boost for work. I found this is also helping me cope with increased stress levels from my work. I am sure I am not the only one who finds themselves too busy to workout in a "normal" gym environment. Making an appointment to workout with a skilled trainer appeals to me, as it forces me to show up, just as I would for a doctor or dentist appointment. Knowingly myself, this is really the only way I can fit a workout into my busy schedule. Personal training is not an inexpensive option, but how does one put a price on having higher energy for work and family, losing weight, and hopefully living a longer and healthier life? Rather than always giving, sometimes you have to make a choice to invest in yourself. I feel this has been the right choice for me, and I highly recommend BodyScapes to others if you find yourself in need of extra motivation to get to the gym and workout consistently.
