This is a new facility since the last time we ventured to Iowa. Interestingly enough, just around the corner from where we are headed to. It's spacious and clean. The staff is nice although one of the kids behind the counter was eating something. I asked which donut and was told it's something they don't sell there. The staff was very helpful while we picked out our donuts and the transaction went smooth. Donuts are fresh and presentation looks great as well. Very nice!,

Best donuts in the whole region. All flavors were very unique & delicious. The guy who took my order was very cool. The inside is very clean, modern & just great vibes all around. I'll be back regularly.

The fact this place is open 24/7 - I had to give it 5 starts. I've always heard about hurts but never tried them. They're gorgeous and beautiful donut.

....oooh weee........ ...I made fun of my cousin in Rock Island for saying he's craving A glazed donut from Hurts out in Davenport....he kept on and kept on... so I said ok bet, let's go...but im thinking GWT DONUTS...PLURAL.... to maximize my gas on the drive to and fro.... we get there and I see the donuts.... I'm like ohhh okay then... we got a dozen assorted ...I got blueberry and snickerdoodle donuts... there were donut holes on the mix on a side order and an apple fritter.... ...I'm going to wait until getting back before I go in... ev'body is eating and having moments with their donuts... now alla sudden I see people ordering milkshakes with donuts atop them... ...1 person... and then 2 guys ordered 3 ... at THAT point, I knew my mission had changed... I went up and ordered a red velvet white icing milkshake.... uhhhh...um.... yeahhhh... I had a moment with the first sip........... and moments all throughout... ...go get some donuts ... and definitely don't sleep on the milkshakes..whatever your donut choice is..get that as a milkshake.... ....shout out to the crew for their service, recommendations and energy: Alysa, Nate and Tyler....

They have an amazing selection of donuts! They are very reasonably priced, very large, and very tasty and fresh! You can't beat the fact that they are open 24/7. The store is very clean and there is plenty of seating as well. It was so good, that when we got to another city in Iowa, we had to check out the Hurts Donuts there and get some more too!

Second time we have been here and we know our favorites now. We ordered this time around the blueberry streusel (2), snickerdoodle, pb cup, apple pie, and apple cider. Delicious! My top favorites are the blueberry streusel and the maple bacon donut which is a meal in itself, but it's sold separately ($4.50). My wife's favorites include the blueberry streusel and the apple cider.

To be honest, I have rarely met a donut I didn't like... but these are extra amazing! Our friend is from Iowa and when he found out we were headed there he said you absolutely must try Hurts Donuts. I'm so glad he recommended it. We had them twice on our trip! Both times and all flavors we tried were amazing... Walk-up Counter service. Self serve drinks. Fast and friendly.

These donuts are AWESOME! Best glazed donuts around. They're expensive but so, so worth it.

Their donuts are big with fancy decorations but don't taste good. Their coffee is always cold and doesn't taste good. All show no go.

We stopped in to Granite City as it is right next to our hotel. Easy…read more. A hostess will seat you. No greeting arriving (or departing,) other than "just two?". She was efficient and smiled. Our waitress came over in good time and took a drink order which showed up in very good time. I also asked a menu question which she got the answer to right away. As another reviewer stated it is *cold* in there! I keep a sweater in my bag for this purpose but still, I was cold. 86 outside, 66 inside (at a guess of course). They may keep the air cold to cool down that hot open kitchen. Bring a jacket or sweater. Our food came out in good time. Portions were generous. Plenty of cheese on my burger. I can understand how another reviewer mentioned the food is salty. The burger is mixed w/a GC spice blend that does seem heavy on the salt. At first it was fine, but I couldn't finish my burger. After a while the taste just stuck in my throat and was too much. May want to pull back a bit on the amount of spice blend being added. The crinkle fries were really good. Nice and crispy. My dining comlanion got the buffalo chicken wrap. Plenty of meat, spicy sauce and veg in this wrap. Trouble is the wrap barely holds the filling in and as the sauce makes the wrap wet, it inevitably fell apart. It is very tasty though, and he happily ate it with a knife and fork. Maybe a bigger wrap is available? 'Cause that portion size is excellent. Staff do seem to congregate in the kitchen area with the expediter. As the dining room got busier, we naturally saw less of our waitress but she did check in a few times and was sure to keep the water glass full and offer drink refills. The ladies room really needs a visual make over and deep clean. It does have a bit of a swampy smell. A machine by the sink, that I believe is a dehumidifier, had a light on it blinking "empty". So the tank was full of water? If it had been running, that may have helped with the smell but I don't know. It wasn't offensive, just a humid bathroom smell. The beer is good, as one would hope from a brewery. They have a selection from Irish Red to pilsners. The menu says to ask about sours. The interior is comfortable, casual with a mix of booths and tables. A couple of the booth seats are in serious disrepair (torn/split material exposing the foam cushion) and need to be fixed. A bar with high top tables is on the other side of the hostess stand keeping the areas seperate. A glass wall seperates you from both the brewing tanks on one wall and the kitchen on another wall. Restrooms by kitchen. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Those entry doors (two sets) are *heavy!

I almost always get grilled salmon, so I know how good it used to be. This time made us cross the place off of our eating out list. The pretzels we got as an app tasted burnt. The entire salmon meal tasted of salt. So much so it made me wince when i took a bite. The "rice pilaf" is no longer actually rice pilaf and tasted of only salt. The salmon was dry and tasted of salt. Even the asparagus... you guessed it-salt. Seriously, I could eaten a plate full of salt at home for way less than $22

Our order was as simple as simple can be. She didn't check on us at all. The law of the land of being a server is you typically want to wait a couple minutes after serving the food to check on the customers. However she did not do that. She was more concerned about her other tables (all 2 of them). Now with our order we are a little picky when it comes to our food. I got the country music star omelet asked for the gravy on the side and no onions, my husband got the ultimate breakfast with limp bacon and my son got the smothered breakfast burrito (pork carnita). When the food arrived my omelet didnt look like an omelet at all it looked like dirty scrambled eggs with the omelet fillings and my husband's ultimate breakfast with limp bacon looked horrible. About half way through my omelet I bit into an onion my husband's bacon was crispy his sausage was burnt and there were no jalapeños with my son's burrito. The hash browns we got were burnt as well. I honestly don't think that we will be going back to village inn again ever. Would give zero stars if possible!!!!!
