a variety of bundt cakes
Cassandra M.

I have had nothing but good experiences when shopping at this location. My husband has been bringing me these little treats for awhile now, but I had never been inside until recently. It's the cutest little store in town! The cakes are delicious, and come in so many flavors! Each time I go in I find a new favorite! I am going to have to start wearing disguises because it's getting embarrassing.

Their cakes are the best! I was surprised with a red velvet one for my birthday this year. Made for a good end of my day.

Love the variety of flavors! Haven't found one I didn't like. Shared with my sister so now when she's with me she buys her own!

Not many bakeries here, their Bundt cakes "slap" as the kids say these days. Great cakes, nice people, a lot of great choices.

I always say I wish I could get a sampler with a couple bites of each sandwich/app/entree so I can enjoy it all. And the desserts are AMAZING! The special Tiph bars (my favorite) are so irresistible they've been sold out the last two times I've been there! I live in Iowa City and I try to stop in any time I go to the QC or even driving through on my way to IL. My only complaint is that it's nowhere near I-80! The food, the baked goods, the decor and the vibe are all top notch! I may have to make a trip there this weekend and order one of everything!

My first experience with her? I called to order a smash cake for my baby's first birthday. I sent my budget and a reference photo like any normal parent would (which was the most simple and plain cake that I actually ended up making myself but better) and she laughed -- actually laughed -- and said, "Let me put it like this, you're asking for a BMW cake on a Honda budget." That's what she said to a first time mom and first time customer. I was disgusted. That moment told me everything. She acts like she's doing people a favor by taking their money. The desserts are mediocre, the food is a joke, and her public responses to reviews are even worse...petty, defensive, and dripping with the same arrogance I heard on the phone. Then there's her social media.. full of cringe-worthy videos that make you wonder how someone can be this unaware of their own attitude. And apparently she orders Instacart and doesn't even tip. It's all the same energy: take, brag, and belittle. If she ever treated customers with even a fraction of the respect they deserve, she might actually have a good thing going. But for now, her reputation matches her product.. stale and hard to swallow.

I've always loved ice cream (who doesn't, right)? I discovered the smoothness of frozen custard,…read morewhen I lived in St. Louis, and thought I'd found the best frozen dessert. It was WAY smoother than regular ice cream. Well, move over Ted Drewe's, there's a new "best frozen dessert". My grandson and I have a tradition of getting ice cream when I pick him up on the last day of school. I think this makes the ice cream taste just a little bit better than usual. At N7, you pick your "liquid", ranging from cow's cream to coconut milk or yogurt. Then you choose a flavoring, like my favorite, birthday cake. They also have regular flavors like vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. Then you choose from dozens (30, actually) of "mix-ins", like chocolate chips, sprinkles, fruity pebble's, etc. Then they move your concoction over to a hefty mixer and bubble liquid nitrogen into it while the mixer works. The phase change from gas to solid happens so quickly that ice crystals don't have a chance to form. This makes the mixture smoother than regular ice cream. Those mixers have to be very powerful to be able to mix everything together. There is also a bunch of nitrogen "steam" released and, since nitrogen is heavier than oxygen, the steam cloud hugs the countertop. If you understand about science things like phase change, etc, it could be a learning experience for kids while they wait for their treat to be done. The only things I didn't like about the place is that there was only one employee working when we got there, and it's more expensive than other ice cream places. The reason there was only one employee working is probably because we went around lunchtime, not usually their peak time. The poor woman had to take orders and money, then go make the ice cream treat. There were only a couple of people in front of us when we got there, so it wasn't too long of a wait. But after we got ours, there was a crowd of people, probably 20 or so, waiting in line. Finally, another employee came in to help. We scarfed-down our ice cream so we could give up our table. If you love ice cream, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try N7.

As soon as you walk in you're immediately greeted by cases of enticing homemade candies and chocolates. They offer a variety of chocolate as well as one tray of sugar-free chocolate. Around the corner of the chocolate shop is their old fashioned style ice cream parlor where you can order classic or specialty ice cream sundaes as well as malts, milk shakes, banana splits, and ice cream sodas. They also serve sandwiches for lunch as well. If you're ever in the Davenport area, this is the place to go to!!

Parking was out back so I went in to try some candy's. I did get good service at the candy counter…read morethe girl was attentive and helped me with a smile. As I asked for 2 of a bunch of items. I also picked up an apple as they looked delicious. The cashier was friendly. I then decided I wanted ice cream. That is where it went wrong. I was told I can self seat at the counter. I do. I sat for a long time. A family sat next to me and ate their apples they just purchased and yet still no help. After a while I finally got up and left with never having been spoken to by any staff at all. Needless to say very sad I was. I decided to at least try the chocolate on my way to the car. The chocolate covered toffee was good. The creams. While I keep trying them in many places but have yet to find one I really like. The bon bon. We're ok they were not super but I would buy the. Again. As for the Apple I ate that when I got home from my trip. It was very interesting. I got the peanut one as it's usually my favorite. It tastes like peanut butter I got no Carmel essence. Next time I will try just Carmel as it seems to be one of their specialty. The apple or self was perfect
