Donuts were delicious but way overpriced for cake donuts and they're smaller in thickness than previous years. We don't get donuts a lot but we both distinctly remember that about them. It's like they invested in the remodel and passed the prices on to the customer. We've been going here since 5 points donuts closed in the 80s. There's been name changes here etc but the donuts remained consistent and always better than those well known chains. Service was always excellent and this was good too. The ambiance looked like they were trying to compete with the high dollar shops and that's not why most locals (or ones my age) come here for. We want quality, great prices, and good service, and a clean restaurant. Take back your decorations and give back the quality please. They're still delicious, but $2.00 for a smaller version of a cake donut is absurd. It's 4 days post purchase. Excellent donuts. The Glazed was a 3.5 out of 5 but..... getting into the Chocolate Old Fashioned.....oh my! A very rich and chocolate donut. Looks richer than their cake. Whoa! Loved this place! Was not expecting it to be this awesome. Coffee was piping hot, strong and delicious. Owners were truly lovely! And the donut holes were divine. So so good. It is a tradition to come here prior to the bix for our family. Since last coming and switching owners, they have updated and renovated the interior and exterior to be more modern giving it a whole new feeling - not the old timey place it used to be. The new counter layout made it seem slower and less efficient than the old way. However, the quality of the donuts did not change and were similar to the years past which we appreciated. Found this place on google when trying to get some donuts for the office. It's does have a nice and quiet vibe at least when I was there but to me it's just another typical donut shop. Honestly felt it was Dunkin' Donuts just a nicer version. The service was quick when I got in there which was convenient but just seemed as though they were overpriced. Maybe it's just what I choose which was a dozen mix donuts and had them select but figure if you do that they would give you the best sellers so that they draw you back in. However seemed as if I got just meh donuts. I will give it a second chance just to see if maybe next time is better but not gonna go out my way just to try them again. read more

I quite love this place. Neighborhood donut shops are lost on ever-expanding cities-into-suburbs. The classic donut shop should be right around the corner from wherever you are with hot coffee and a view of the world passing by. Right on Brady and Locust, it's hard not to see most of the Quad Cities going from here to there from this prime location. An article in the QCTimes said the interior would be renovated, but I have always liked the schoolhouse chairs+table arrangement. Whatever they decide to do, I am positive it won't change their donuts. Although not a healthy choice, these ringed morsels of goodness can be a once-in-a-while treat ... or in my case, a feed-lots-of-hungry-teenagers-with-high-metabolism breakfast of champions. Mom of the Day earned. Donuts and More offers a bevy of choices including ye olde favorites (longjohns, filled, glazed, cake, holes, etc.) and a few unique donuts like the Crumb Donut. The owner is so rude to customers and especially employees in front of customers. That kind of thing makes me cringe. The energy drinks are extremely over priced for what you get. I'm giving 3 stars for the quality of the donuts. They are really good! Like everyone says, it's an old school donut shop. I've always been at times when there is still a pretty decent selection. I usually get a dozen regular donuts, but inevitably upgrade a few to "fancy". I'm not sure how they work their pricing, but doing it that way ended up costing more than a straight dozen "fancy" donuts. Again, not sure how that works. Even with the new ownership, don't expect a warm welcome when you walk in. Or when ordering donuts. The women I've seen working are less than friendly. Forget customer service. It makes me wonder if the new owners have ever witnessed the employees interact with customers. It's a huge turn off, and is definitely a factor when we decide where to get donuts. The donuts here are really good. What's nice about this donut shop is that there aren't a million options to overwhelm you. They also are smaller than a Hurts donut so you don't feel so full after eating one. My favorite was the blueberry donut. I'm biased and love all things blueberry! I think the "more" might pertain to their rude employees. It certainly doesn't pertain to the selection of donuts. Went today at 10 am. They had almost no options and what they still had tasted like it was yesterday's batch. Prices are high for what you get. I've been to this donut shop in the past and it was MUCH BETTER before the new owner took over. I would love it if there was another option closer to my house. We could see the old fashioned donuts ourselves, but both times the clerk said they had none. We tried to point to them, but she pointed to every donut but the old fashioned donuts and insisted they had none. I went to Donuts & More today after driving past their business countless times. Their service was incredible. When they heard that it was my first time in, they were helpful recommending their best-sellers and their own personal favorites. I ordered a half dozen, and it was only $5.50. They even threw in an extra donut and 2 donut holes just to be nice. I got a feeling of nostalgia because this kind of service in a no-frills store front is what it should be about! I arrived at 8 am and there were many varieties to choose from. Cherry iced donuts were very good while old fashioned were exceptional (on the sweet side but very flavorful). They didn't have any jelly filled but the person apologized for a shipping mistake and suggested I come back around 10:30 am . I did and they were restocked.
