I am the roommate who is lucky enough to have all of the utilities under my name, meaning every month I'm running to the bank to deposit my other roommate's shares of their monthly dues so I can pay in one lump check. I bank at Huntington and I frequent the Rookwood location of the bank. I constantly run out of deposit slips at home and I never have enough time to stop and fill one out at the counter before dropping off my checks (somehow I'm always in a hurry) but the employees at this branch don't mind at all when I run up, drop the check, say deposit it, and run out. It takes literally seconds for the employees here to find my account and certify the check and hand me my receipt. Everyone here is friendly and they always have cookies and coffee out in case there is a wait. Huntington is a great bank, I've never had any issue with any of my accounts, and this branch is quick and reliable and convenient. read more

My money got stuck in the atm. Staff gave me the run around. However once I got in touch with Jeff the branch manager not only did he assist me efficiently and quickly but he was very remorseful about my bad experience. Not even 10 minutes later he called back with an update about his conversation with his staff on my behalf. I appreciate a follow up especially one so quickly and efficiently. Thank you Jeff and I hope this review finds you in good spirits. ~Mrs. Hughes read more

I am disappointed with my experience at Huntington. I opened an account online, via an Instagram link, with a promise of a $400 checking bonus after receiving at least $500 per month in direct deposits over 90 days. After I opened the account, I never received any confirmation that the offer code had been applied. I called several Huntington branches to ensure the code had been applied correctly, and finally, one answered. The lady told me there was not a way for them to check if the offer code had been applied, and that I just had to wait and see if the bonus showed up after 90 days. She said a banker would call me back, but I did not receive a call back. I then stopped into my local branch a few days later, and asked a banker if the offer code had been applied correctly. He assured me it was applied correctly and that I would, in fact, receive my bonus offer. After 3 months of successfully depositing $1,000 per month in direct deposits, I never received my $400 bonus offer. I called customer service this time. They tell me an offer code was never applied to my account. So why couldn't any of the branch employees tell me that in the beginning? I then cancel my direct deposit and transfer my remaining funds out of the account. Then, a few days later, I notice my account is overdrawn. I received a $10 monthly service charge due to not having an active direct deposit. I went to another local branch to see if after all the trouble I'd been through with the account, they could waive it for me. I planned on closing the account anyway. The lady working told me she could only reverse the fee if it were an error she made, not a mistake someone else made. So, I ended up paying the fee and closing the account. The entire experience was a waste of my time. I am a banker at 53, and I am appalled at the lack of knowledge the branch representatives have at Huntington. At 53, fee reversals are given graciously, and bankers are trained to look up if offer codes have been applied correctly or not. read more

I had a checking/ savings account and just recently acquired a mortgage with Huntington. I added my daughter to my checking account at some point and allowed her sole access to it. She hadnt had any activity on it for about 3 months, but it didn't go in the negative either, however I decided to send installments to my checking account so that once the mortgage is due I can simply transfer into that account. Well, I setup the transfer on 9/29 the checking acct was open and active showing a 0 balance, then I kept checking it to see when the monies would show up. It said the money would be deposited on 10/2, I go to pull up the huntington account its no longer there, My external account shows the money was taken but Huntington decides to close the account during the very time when a transaction was taking place... What do you call that?? I am not pleased with this institution, I will come back with an update, as for now I dont have a good rating. read more

Terrible! Closed account over a week ago and STILL waiting for my money. I was told my check was mailed last Friday and would be received by Thursday at the latest. How can a bank headquartered in Cincinnati not get a check delivered to a Cincinnati resident in a timely manner. F**king ridiculous! Customer service is a joke! Unless you speak a foreign language you're S.O.L! Branch employees are no help, either! We're moving tomorrow so we won't have access to the mailbox, so now our money will just be floating around somewhere in Cincinnati! Incompetent is a nice word to describe this institution! read more

Huntington-your policies to your standby cash, sucks! I have to have a miniunum balance of $200 per day. Please tell me where do you expect me to get that from? My cost of living haven't gone up, but inlfation, rent, gas, food living has ALL gone up and you expect me to have a minium of $200 a day. If that were the case, I wouldn't need standby cash. I can just use my daily $200 in my account. This is a ridicolous policy that doesn't help anyone it hinders them. Change your policies back to where they were OR just cancel all together standby cash. read more

Says online they're open till 2:00PM on Saturday so I plan my whole day around that and I get their and they close at noon......

I have spent an enormous amount of time trying to close an account after my mother died almost a year ago. They have no record of the death certificate, certified letter or numerous calls I have made. There is no process of follow-up on their part. It might have once been a good bank but I think they have slipped into not caring about their customers. read more

It's a fine little bank that reminds me of the small town bank I used to go to. It has free checking and easy automatic deposits.

Went in today to figure out why $2,000 wasn't deposited into my account. The teller I had was very friendly and helped as much as she could but her boss Connie that came to assist was very rude and disrespectful towards me. She talked down to me and cut me off while I was talking. I have never experienced this before at any other Huntington I've been to and I am absolutely amazed how she acted. The tellers, again, all seemed friendly and helped. Connie ruined my experience, I doubt I'll be returning to this branch. read more

I use the huntington norwood branch most often and unlike the lady above i always have extreme issues with my branch... Maybe I should switch? This branch is the most incompetent i do believe. They go through tellers like nothing. Only one has been there the entire time from september to now and its only april so a little over 6 months and then one has been there about four but the other tellers rotate like it's no ones business and they get my accounts confused even though I tell them exactly how much i want out and out of which account to withdrawl. Hell I should work here I think I would be better at it than most of them are lol :).. Please use this branch at your own risk :) read more

My experience with this bank only leads me to search for another bank. They are not customer oriented, they use the excuse, "It is the BANKS discretion to apply the 24 hour grace period". Two times this year I have had to deal with their "Discretion". I have bank alerts set up, phone and email alerts, so as to avoid any overdraft charges. I have 4 accounts with Huntington, ALL linked and one ALWAYS has funds! An automated payment came out of my account THE DAY BEFORE my check was deposited.....Huntington gave me NO ALERTS NOTICE from their automated system that the account was overdrawn, NO 24 HOUR GRACE either! I ALSO have OVERDRAFT PROTECTION! The bank teller told me that, "It was at THEIR DISCRETION to send the payment back, or pay it", so much for their 24 HOUR GRACE PERIOD!! I explained to the teller that #1, surely I was only "1" person, and I cant change the system but a GOOD bank will live up to its advertisements! And if they are treating customers with the attitude that you are JUST A NUMBER, then that's BAD BANKING!! I also spoke to a higher-up person in Huntington Bank that told me that they can overturn 4 overdrafts a year, this Teller told me that it was 1 and that my turn was already taken earlier in the year! WOW, is all I have to say! I wont be banking here any longer, I will take my money and go to a bank like CHASE, WHERE THEY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!! Also beware that their ALERTS, when they do come, they are WAY LATE! My advise to people would be if you want to have your money taken out from under you, HUNTINGTON would be the bank to go to.......but I'm sure that that's not what THE CUSTOMER wants from a bank!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD BANKING BUSINESS!! read more
