I haven't ever had our account information stolen so many times in my life. At least twice a year we have to cancel bank cards because someone hacks into our account. We have gotten text messages asking if we authorized transactions and we reply "no" if we don't then they still push the transaction through. Then when I've tried to use our card to buy stuff online from Kohls it blocks it for fraud but someone can buy 200$ worth of stuff on play station and no one bats an eye. Seriously considering switching to another, more secure, bank. read more

I have banked here since my parents opened an account when I was a kid. I wanted to stay with Sharefax an adult and have regretted that choice since. I am highly disappointed, I really wanted to like SCU. Customer service is ridiculous. Expect an automated recording for everything and online banking is a migraine lurking around the corner. I traveled last year and made the decision to call SCU to inform them of my direct route and new job in a different state. They were delightful and reassured me that I use my card the entire way. They made a note in my account that I would be traveling and notified the credit card department. In the middle of no-where Texas with an almost empty tank and a few bucks in my pocket, my card was froze. Thank God for Walmart and family. I spent the next six hours arguing with a department that could not unfreeze or figure out what went wrong, but reassured me that my account did have a note on it saying that I would be traveling. Since that incident, I have not shared my location and have had no issues with frozen accounts. This brings to question the safety of my account (which, fortunately, I have not had issues with). Getting ahold of a real person will take you all day, just hope that you're not in Texas and that you have good cellular service (because you will be on the phone all day). The loan offices are typically friendly as well as the staff parked in the front of the building. But do not expect quick and simple anything, unless it has a high interest rate. Moral of the story, I am switching my accounts to Chase banking. read more

Lowest Rates, good loans, no investment in customer service. The online system is not user friendly and if you call you usually wait on hold and get transferred around without an answer. They outsource overflow calls to 3rd party vendors who don't have any way to look up your account information by Name/SSN/Ph# etc. I know this because the agent explained this as the reason they couldn't help. You have to know you account number by heart as it is not printed on statements (XXX123). DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH SHAREFAX- They will literally screw you over in any way possible. You will not get any help from anybody for anything. I have not had 1 good experience over the last year. They don't care about anything you have to say, they just read off their guidelines and could care less what you have to say. They even charge a $35.00 fee just if you apply for a loan. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME. The customer service reps are nice, but the guidelines they have to follow are a joke. DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO NEVER DEAL WITH SHAREFAX. read more
