I went to this place before it became hunter-M. We went to it when it was called Seoul. I took my 7 year old son here and we had a fun time. The reason I gave two stars is because the employee who had the same name as the other guy but worked the mid shift was a complete A-hole. It took me like 25 minutes to log into a game because nothing was updated. I asked him to credit my account ( which normally they do out of courtesy with games not being updated ) he refused. I spoke to him after adding more money that we were just going to go home and he refused to cut off or add more time. He actually gave me a huge attitude like I was asking him to slap his own momma. At one point I was trying to buy an energy drink and he went missing for a solid 10 minutes. Also I was mid game and there's only one warning before your entire game shuts off. I'm a semi-pro Starcraft II player and I'm happy with the experience. Most esports games are already pre loaded, the internet is fast, and the PCs are quite nice. My machine had an RTX 3090. The keyboards are kind of rubbish membrane boards but that's to be expected. Bring your keyboard. The staff is friendly, and they are open 24/7. If you have a tournament to play or you just want to hang out with friends or kill some time at any hour, give it a try! It's not super expensive and there's Korean snacks, energy drinks, and packaged ramen + a microwave so you can decide whether it's worth it for you compared to gaming at your home setup. read more

My husband and I just went here last night! We don't live close, so it was kinda an event for us. We've been to one other e-sports lounge before, so we only had that experience to compare it to. Hunter-M was clean, had a nice amount of amenities, and overall a nice experience! Main downside was that the aisles are a little close together, so it wasn't hard for our playing to be disrupted by other players shouting in their respective games (even with headphones on). Great gaming lounge for the price and its open 24/7 which is great! I went here to mess around for an hour a few times and each time I wasn't disappointed. The computers can handle everything I've tried playing and no complaints about the system at all. The only issue I've had (and the reason why I rated it 4 instead of 5) is the condition of some of the devices. Some of the keyboards weren't reading inputs and there were other small technical difficulties that I encountered during my visit. One of the worst retail experiences of my life. Decided to give this place a chance with a couple friends to relive our LAN days. Paid for 2 hours, and after 45 minutes we finally got call of duty to open. After one game, myself and my friends all had our accounts shadow banned by Activision. The only way this would happen is due to exploits being used by this establishment. To date 3 days later my account remains banned on my home console and I'm still unable to play. 500 hours and hundreds of dollars down the drain due to this terrible establishment. Highly highly recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible. You WILL have your account banned. Worst part was even with our accounts being banned, and not playing a single complete game, the manager Nick wouldn't even consider a refund. Avoid this place at all costs. Computers are clean and setups are easy to get into. I found that the staff and people here and generally pretty friendly and willing to help with any issues. My only grievance is that by default "enhance pointer precision" is enabled on the devices which accelerates the mouse based on how fast it's moving. It's a windows setting that is almost always turned off for those who play games and it took me a few painful experiences to realize why the mouse felt so funny. Ambience is clean with multiple PCs with games preloaded (Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, etc.) Snack area is well stocked with items readily available. I have relatively mixed feelings about this place. Pros: 24 hours and a nice supply of snacks/drinks (though no Diet Coke.. lol. But there is a CVS, boba, and coffee shop all within walking distance so you can stock up on what they don't have). Chairs are very comfortable, and the temperature is managed well. Front office staff are generally helpful and kind. Cons: the main reason I came was to play the Witcher III. I couldn't get steam to install it. I did a lot of trouble shooting on my own, and then their tech support person did as well and basically couldn't figure out how to fix it. So the whole reason I came- I couldn't play. I ended up playing other things instead but honestly "top of the line" computers should be able to install and play it. Additionally, the owner removed the water fountain they used to have to encourage people to spend $1 on water bottles for purchase instead of refilling. I get needing to make more money, but that's harmful for the environment, and I'll just bring a gallon of water on my own next time (lol). Most people are going to be spending $ on Monster and other beverages. So it seems unnecessary. Finally, they allow people to smoke e-cigs in doors. I'm not entirely sure that's legal first of all. And when the guy next to me started smoking the front desk just offered to move me. Which I accepted as I don't want to sit next to someone smoking but it seems like if you're going to allow that, reserve an area for people who are smoking. Overall there are not many places like this in the area and if you're looking to LAN til 3am, go for it. There's KBBQ and a korean bakery in the same parking lot. read more

This place used to be a different pc cafe and its changed a whole bunch. It looks super clean and crisp, everything is brand new, chairs are rx racer, their products are corsair and the rigs are all aesthetically pleasing. Very comforting compared to the previous establishment. My favorite thing is that the smell of cigarettes is no longer in the place so it's so much more comforting. Definitely would recommend coming by and checking it out. It's completely renovated. read more

Seoul PC moved and re-opened as Hunter-M eSports. Mr. Kim has improved the atmosphere of the location giving it that competitive e-Sports feel to it. The monitors here run at 144 hz and a few select BenQ monitors run up to 244 hz. I usually come here for competitive PVP because let's face it the equipment they're working with here is better than the average at home rig in the local DMV area (incoming 'ahems and excuse me's). I really like coming to this location because it's also near so many cool stores including a great tea store to the right. Can't wait to see this place grow. read more

Initially the process was a little tricky to understand on how to get guest hours and membership but the staff were extremely helpful and able to quickly resolve any confusion. This is a great place if you want to experience lag free gaming on top notch equipment like the 27in 240hz monitors. The ping is always the lowest and any game I play, mainly apex legends and valorant. My one little pet peeve would mainly be that it is a little small the seating areas so sometimes you can hear the more "vocal" players. But other than that aspect, it is a private gaming setting that offers you great gaming equipment and a handy selection of snacks and drinks to purchase. I honestly that been to a gaming center in the states, even though I grew up on them. I found this place while on work travel for two weeks in the general DMV area, and this place has made it so much better not having access to my usual gaming rig. $10 to become a member, which drives down the cost per hour from $4 to $2.5 or so, and they have good hour packages that give you free hours I'd you're buying several at once. They have drinks and snacks for purchase, the drinks are ok but the snacks come in a wide variety, with the usual suspects as well as some light frozen food like hot pockets and the like. The computers are pretty legit, most have 1060 6GB cards and a few have 1080tis. All have a racing type chair and Corsair headphones that are awesome. You have the option to login and download whatever game you own, or ask them for a guest account to play games you don't own. I love this place! 6 hours of gaming for $10.. Other local gaming centers charge roughly $5 per hour.. During the day it can ger pretty slow but in the evenings there is usually a pretty good crowd of people. The staff is also really friendly which always a plus. read more

I was a new visitor when I first arrived. The place was clean and didn't leak of any smoke. They are taking social distancing seriously so you can't sit adjacent from people. They have cute delicious korean snacks to choose from. Unfortunately, They don't serve alcohol. It's not like Korea pc gaming area's where they have alcohol. It's 5$ per hour, not bad. I hope they keep the price. If you sign up for a membership it's 4$ per hour. They are open 24 hours as well. During our visit, my computer system shut off, but they were able to resolve it immediately. The staff working there said that happens rarely. 4 stars nice place. Hello, this is towards the 2 recent visits that changed my perspective of HunterM from November of 2023 to December 2023, this is for the night visits that have made our time less enjoyable due to a lack of understanding for the consumers and as of recent a new member of this community regrettably so. To start off this is a business, and as a business you need to have employees that are capable of knowing that there are times when the computers are incredibly slow and laggy and that should be addressed to the owner of the establishment if not already to have a understanding of the situation and have things work accordingly and smoothly which is NOT what this place promised, they mention high graphics card and all this awesome technology and fail to even start a game of call of duty without updating then still crashing and freezing for 30 minutes to an hour and if this is the case, there needs to be a maintenance check or close down certain computers but I can assure you it is NOT BATTLENETS fault because my small Laptop can run this game easily on highest graphics everyday, every time and even the employees can vouch for us as the screen physically freezes, regardless of this fact there is an inconsistency to this business when it does happen which does happen most of the time and recently there is no compensation for such an incredibly obvious malfunctions of the products that we pay for with our hard earned money and expect to work, therefore when this had happened we had asked for our time back not because we felt like it but because there is an objectively good reason and a cause and affect to why we could not properly use the product efficiently and it is incredibly close minded for an employee or it's owner to assess a situation like this, only to give 10 minutes back maximum, IF this is how they were trained and that is policy, I APOLOGIZE but it's still delusional to think "oh these desktops are crap but lets move them to another one without knowing and hope that the next one doesn't do the same just for that one to crash as well expecting different results and waste more time" and then pretend that it's NORMAL TO LOSE ALL THAT TIME , on top of that the one time they would change their mind from 10 minutes max to 5 more minutes was when we are at the end of our time and are about to leave which is a punch in the face and is CONFUSING, and INCONSISTENT and to have to consistently look over our shoulders to display the inconvenience only to have people who lack experience in the industry, the difference is huge compare to what we had went through not too long ago, if there is a unfair and legitimate reason that is entirely not the members fault, why is it so hard to give justice to where it is due. If the owner says it is policy then again I APOLOGIZE but that In itself is a flaw but because we have had employees in the past that has had no problems having the common decency to compensate for all the lost Time, if not then we should have at least been given an explanation or a policy book that states this evidence and if so who do we take it to and or show our case. I still empathize for the night shift workers and their effort to still provide service and they are still nice People but even that is questionable because when we were deciding to buy the membership and not bothering anybody they told us we couldn't discuss it inside which would have only taken a few more minutes in my opinion that was extremely unnecessary and uncalled for considering we are only there once a month and mind you at 3 AM where there is little to no traffic and are hardly loitering and did end up buying the membership, in general these are EASY PROBLEMS to fix but unfortunately is still a major concern for the reputation of this community and its future. This is in no way a bias review as I came with 2 people who experienced it and are my witness and I'm sure many more unsatisfied people, this is an honest and crucial one that I am more than happy to change because this place is still a good place to Go to for social events and I'd still highly recommend it to anyone to try it, God bless and have a good holiday :) read more

Staff was pretty helpful in getting my cousin and I started. If you don't have an account for a specific game that requires a login, just let them know and they can use a standard one that they already have ready. They got snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Pricing per hour for the PCs are a good deal. They also have a one time payment for membership (10$) and you get discounted rates per hour. This is great if you come here often and would definitely add up. The environment is laid back and relaxed. Chairs are comfy, the only grip I have is the monitors were big and felt some eye strain for being so close. Would have been better if they could be pushed back a little bit, but that's probably personal preference. The other issue I had of the ventilation was poor... Toward the entrance where we sat it got so got, but toward the back it was a bit cooler. It's be good if they could turn up the A/C or overall just better ventilation considering how many PCs there are. read more

the pc room here reminds you of the ones in korea; they run 1060-1080tis with steelseries qcks (the gold standard for competitive pc gaming) along with prettyy rgb corsair mice and headsets and monitors that come in 240hz 144hz and 60. avoid 60 and ask them for the 144hz/240hz. its 5 bucks an hr 4 if u pay a 10 dollar membership fee. the drink pricings also pretty good its competitive with 7/11 pricing; real cool i definitely recommend checking it out whether youre with friends or youre having some sort of nostalgia regarding korea read more

Let me just start by saying that this place made me more angry than when the old man threw off the Emperor's groove. If you are planning to play League, then you will have a good time. If you plan on playing anything else besides that or probably CS then you will have the complete opposite. Login, open Battlenet client, try to play Overwatch, receive "graphics card error" message, logout. Repeated this step 3 times with other computers and finally decided to just wait and install the whole game. That did not work either. Can't get a simple $4 of 2 hour gametime refund, which I spent 40 minutes of wasted time trying to play the game. However, I did get the body odor of multiple gamers on my shirt from chair hoping. How dare you even have your place brand the name with the pride and seoul of South Korea. I can find a better PC Gameroom in the village outskirts of Seoul that my grandmother from my father's side can operate while still being known as the procurer of the best kimchi in all the lands. Also, change your damn sign in the front. It said grand opening since like March 2015, I remember because I took my girlfriend there with me. But we aren't together now... but thats not the point! Update your computers and be consistent. Just be glad it wasn't raid night for me, otherwise I'd pop all my cooldowns, have a 1% chance to have a 6 buff Roll the Bones, Marked for Death, and stunlock you guys harder than an undergeared Alliance player with a popped trinket in the battlegrounds. read more
