Just had to call the guys, Matt and Alan out again to add extra heads due to some landscaping changes. They also adjusted everything to make sure my now mature landscaping is not blocking the heads. They had to move a few over out of the way of shrubs etc. Very courteous crew came out. quickly assessed our needs and had everything completed in a very timely manner. I've yet to ever have an issue with any of their original work. Always helpful, top quality products and I'm always dealing with the same guys. Kudos to a job well done. Bummed out that they did not show up as scheduled. Took time off work to go over sprinkler repair needs. This was the second attempted appointment made. I hired Hunter Sprinklers to repair two leaking valves. The repairman came to my home and said that both valves were repaired and inspected for leaks. Before he left, I remembered I had a broken head and he did not have a problem repairing it. He then left after he received payment. Immediately after he left, I went and inspected the valves myself. One of the valves seemed to still be leaking because the covered in-ground cylinder was full of water. I thought maybe he had forgotten to siphon out the water. I took a plastic cup and was able to scoop out the water but noticed that the cylinder was filling with water. I immediately called him back but got voice mail. I then took a ladle and removed all the water that I could and shut off the main valve. About 30 minutes later, the water had receded below the valve pipe. I turned the main valve back and saw the water streaming out where the input pipe connects to the valve. It seemed to me the repair was not done correctly. Finally two hours later, the repairman called back. When I told him the cylinder was filling with water again, he told me that I needed to give it a couple of days for the water to recede and dry up. When I told him how I had tested it and saw where the water was leaking, he told me he was already at another job and would not be able to come back the same day. He told me it would be another week. I told him that was unacceptable and that I needed it repaired immediately. He told me he would return the next morning. The next morning came and went and he did not show or call. I called the main number and was told by Alan that he had a family emergency that day but he would make sure to contact him and have him contact me by the end of the day. I never received a phone call that day or the day after. It seems to me that if a repair person does not complete the job correctly and cannot return then someone else from the company should have come to repair the job. Giving me an excuse of "he is the only repair man. Matt and I only install next systems" is not an acceptable excuse, nor is it good customer service. As a result, I will now have to hire another company to complete the job that I paid Hunters for and pay full price again for the same service. read more

My face plate went out and my grass was dying and I called and Matt and Alan came right out and replaced it, reset my watering times and day by zone, my grass is green again! Thank you so much for getting over immediately and fixing my system! read more

Only one issues came up and was rectified with minutes! I had warned my wife the yard would be a mess but after they were completed you can barely tell a system was installed. They are definitely in business! Alan and Matt and crew just finished a 7-zone sprinkler install in my new home. Took about two days which is average. But what was extraordinary is that they were able to accommodate my tight schedule. I was leaving town for a couple weeks and they did the install in spite of the rainy weather (luckily there was a two day dry spell -- but the ground was very muddy!). Kudos to Hunter Irrigation. I have to admit, I was very reluctant to hire these guys after reading the most recent negative review, especially since Bob is who I talked to and Fish is who they sent out. But I thought I would give them a chance and I'm so glad I did. Bob was nothing but professional and friendly and Fish was prompt and courteous. An hourly estimate was provided on the phone and when Fish showed up he did a thourough check of our entire system, told us exactly what needed to be fixed and how long he estimated it would take him to fix the problem areas. Called Hunter as I uncovered a valve/mainline smack dab under this area we were digging to prep for a patio. Talked to bob and understand how busy it is rt now. According to their reviews they do a great job, if you can get them to show up. Called and set an appointment for an estimate for a sprinkler system and landscaping. I called and tried to confirm the appointment 4 days prior to the appointment but there was no answer. I left a message for them to call back and let me know if they were coming out for the scheduled appointment, but they never called back. Surprise, they didn't show for the appointment. If this is how they treat potential customers it scares me on how it would be after they got your money. read more

These guys are as good as it gets. I had several estimates for my front yard to have sprinklers installed. Some were higher and some lower. But Matt was there on time to do the quote and was just a real easy going, no pressure guy. They were new to our area (Cedar Park) and so I gave them a chance, and I was real happy i did. After signing the contract, they were at my home the next day, got to work right away, they cleaned up after themselves and had the job done on time as promised and the system works great! Had them back out to do the back yard the following year, and it was as good as the first time, on time and working great. I have had a few issues with the valves and had a leak after a freeze. I gave them a call and they came right out to look at the problem and were there the next day and had it fixed, no change and no questions asked! I contacted Hunter Irrigation on a recommendation from a neighbor and I couldn't be happier. Pre-install, they came to my house and did a complete walk around and answered all of my questions and concerns. They also provided a very detailed quote which was on par with the other contractors I had contacted both in price and materials used. Install day was a breeze, the crew they brought out was experienced, professional and even better, the right number of laborers which made the install quick and efficient. All this might sound "normal" so where Hunter has really set themselves apart in my mind is the Post-install customer care. We have had two sprinkler valves eaten by our new dog, they replaced these valves within 2 days without a question even though they were not technically covered by the warranty. Hunter Irrigation installed my sprinkler system in May 2010. They were less expensive than two other bids I'd received but still installed a quality system. They also got the job done very quickly, so I was quite happy. Fast forward to this morning when I noticed that a small section of my front yard looked like Florida swamp land due to a leak in one of the sprinkler lines. These guys came out to help redo/repair a very old and large system in my new house. They worked hard digging through rock to make new zones and fixed existing ones. The guys were all nice and professional. This happened 2 years ago. To this day, Alan and Matt are always available to answer my questions and to assist with changes I make to the landscaping.
